The chicken salad was very fresh and tasty. The store is incredibly clean and I felt really welcomed by the owner and her employees during my visit. I was able to customize my order and didn't feel rushed even though I was there only thirty minutes prior to their closing time. Not wanting to keep them after, however, I packed up a bit too fast and accidentally left a charger plugged into their wall as I was leaving. I didn't realize it until I was almost to Shreveport and I was ultimately on my way back home - all the way in Dallas, TX. I was upset with myself for leaving it, but basically had to write it off as a probable loss. Well, the next day, the owner's husband called me, offering to send my charger through the mail! I felt silly for not thinking of this, but even more, I was so pleasantly surprised by these people's willingness to go way above and beyond for a one-time customer just passing through. He even offered to pay my shipping and let me pay the amount when he knew what that would be. How wonderfully refreshing these rare interactions are in which people go out of their way to do something nice and even go out on a limb of trust for a stranger. I love this place for lunch. I would recommend it to everyone because the people are lovely, food is always good, and the restaurant itself is so cute. Recently, the portion control here is very hit or miss. A coworker and I ordered from door dash to have it delivered to the hospital, like we have done nearly every week for a very long time. We both ordered pie. My pie slice was half the size of her's and they're $5 a slice when you get them on door dash. The pie was good as ever, but I was upset to be sent a skimpy piece of pie for the 3rd time, and be charged the same price as the other pieces. Please fix this issue. Just passing through town and found this place. The food was great. The hospitality and atmosphere were very welcoming. The jalapeño jelly on the Black Bayou burger was very tasty. We had heard from a social media account I follow and the Hgtv show about Geaux Fresh. Minden was a good location for a family meetup for my mother's birthday so we gave it a try for lunch. Since we were expecting a large group I did contact them a day ahead to let them know. They were gracious to accommodate us with tables pushed together. The menu has a great variety, all very fresh! Everyone's food was delivered exactly as they ordered it and it was all very tasty! The staff was so kind and friendly. They even provided a complimentary dessert and birthday song for my mother! The food I have eaten here is super fresh. There are many low cal options as well as some comfort foods that are not as friendly to the waist line. They offer a healthy prepared take home meal like a daily special. They also have specialty pies and cakes such as buttermilk pie and peanut butter pie. Salad dressings are homemade and nontraditional. Customer service is great and the environment is spotless but still very comfortable. Plenty of window seats available. Owner greeted us upon arrival - very personable! You can tell they are hands-on. Food was delicious and we were served quickly. We had shrimp wrap (remoulade was yummy) and turkey, bacon, avocado panini - we would recommend both. Chicken chili was just what we needed on a cold day. Stopped thru for lunch on way to Gulf Shores. Avoiding light rain and highway construction, we found this little gem. I had a warm shrimp wrap, wife had the turkey, bacon, & avocado panini. Both excellent. Kids ate a grilled turkey bacon panini & blt. Very good. Little one ate more mac n cheese than I expected. Everything served with chips. Great counter service and we met several other friendly employees and owner (from Dallas!) throughout the meal. Slow business day for lunch at 2ish. Everything clean.
