I shopped auto insurance rates thru Gebhardt for years always taking the cheapest rate. But in the back of my mind I always wondered how the cheaper company would step up if and when I needed them. As luck / fate would have it, I did bang up my car. The insurance company had me a check within a week even though I thought the bodyshop might have taken advantage of them. But when your mechanic makes a recommendation you don't want your insurance company squawking. My rates did go up and Gebhardt found me a cheaper company at a cheaper rate.
