GeeGee's Cuts - I've called several times in regards to an appointment and never once did they answer there phone and left several voicemails never called me back but has a cancellation of $10 without 24Hr Notice. But it's okay that they don't answer the phone or even call you back. They think they are "Drs" regarding cancellations they require additional details as to why cancelling appointment however emergencies arise as I'm sure they all have families of their own but aren't accepting to hear an emergency unless you are willing to tell them exactly what happened. I will never recommend anyone to take their children to this Salon after how they treat new clients. read more

This was our first time here, and I can't recommend it enough! All three of my kids, ranging in age from 10 months to four years, had a hair appointment here today, and all aspects of our visit were excellent. Normy interacted so well with my baby, keeping him occupied and happy throughout his whole haircut-- this is clearly her area of expertise! His haircut turned out beautifully despite all the movement and wiggling you would expect with the baby. Melissa did a beautiful job on my three year old's haircut, and my four-year-old is thrilled with the pink color that Enid put in her hair. We appreciated all the kid-friendly aspects of this salon, right down to the fun vehicles to sit in during the hair appointments, and being able to watch age-appropriate movies. Poor customer service. Called several times throughout two days to make an appointment and nobody answered, except the one time I was hung up on. I get that supposedly every place is struggling right now, but when is that going to stop being an excuse for just crappy service. Called another local children's salon and was able to make an appointment right away. It was a much better salon 10 years ago, the new owner is clearly struggling. read more

It was my 2 year old's first hair cut, Enid was so sweet to him and did an amazing job. We weren't really sure what style to get since this was his first cut and his hair was down to his shoulders, but she did a great job. He never cried once nor felt scared. I just had my first haircut at Gee Gee's Cuts. It was a wonderful experience. One of the owners, Normarys, cut my hair; she was personable, professional and respectful. I'll most likely be a regular from here on out. This business is a success and it's no wonder why. I just adore the setup Gee Gee's has for kids. They do adults like me too. Really underwhelmed went in for my 16 months daughter first haircut. When the appointment was made almost 2 weeks ago my wife asked for someone with experience in cutting children's hair. Now maybe we were expecting to much but being one of my twins first hair cut we were hoping for it to be special. Don't get me wrong the chairs are nice but to cut 3 snips of hair put it in a ziplock bag and give her a hair clip. $24.00 later with tip yes smh we did still tip. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes why did we need to wait 2 weeks for a 15 minute I guess haircut. Hands down-the best place to take your kiddos for a haircut! Took my 3 daughters, they had their hair cut & dried. They had their nails done & bc they were all under 12-they all received an embellished barrette. During their haircuts-2 of them played video games, while the youngest enjoyed having her hair cut in a Thomas the Tank Engine stylist seat. Everyone was very friendly-seemed to enjoy what they were doing-such a rarity these days! Before we left my girls received lollipops & balloons. The most important thing the kids received? The owners are very nice and seem to have gone out of their way to make their place very family friendly. My children love coming here and sitting in car chairs, playing video games or watching movies. The train table is also a big hit while we wait. They even offer a supervised playroom so adults can get haircuts or nails done. read more

First time getting my 16 months old boy haircut. So glad my husband found this place. My son loved sitting in Thomas the tank engine and watching Mickey Mouse on the tv! Tiffany did a terrific job and made sure I was happy. Added bonus I got my hair cut and blow dried too! They have a supervised kids room with surveillance camera so you can watch too! Due to terrible past experiences at fancy, uppity salons, where i spent hundreds of dollars, I have not entered a hair salon in 5 years for coloring. I went on a Sunday to GeeGee's Cuts, and trusted the amazing Kadee to help me regain faith in salons. Kadee gave me exactly what I wanted, only BETTER. She gave me highlights and lowlights to fix my brassy, yellow, box color mistake. She worked with all the stylists, in finding just the right solution for me!! I love how my hair turned out! It is always a pain to take my 5 year old daughter for a haircut, but one of the gals here made it a lot easier for us. Melissa did my cut my liitle girls hair, not only was the cut amazing, she treated her so nice. Melissa made my daughter feel comfortable and talked her through the whole cut. First hair cut for my son and our stylist was awesome. My son was very uncooperative and was terrified due to recent Dr visits. She was more than patient and did her best to be quick while still getting a good cut. She was very friendly and kind to my son, and the staff did their best to distract him and reassure him he was OK. We had to stop before she was done because he was screaming and she was very understanding. We will definitely be back and hopefully my son will be more cooperative. read more

Horrible customer service and horrible attitudes. Went in there and was told that they only take appointments and would have to come back in over 2 hours. They has three people blowing up balloons, and the lady at the front was scanning bottles of hairspray when she said she was checking to see if other things were available...obviously not checking. They also need to clean the place because it smells really bad in there. Go in there and I am sure you will be running for the exit. Been there before and the haircut was mediocre at best. It has gone downhill in the past 2-3 months. Just came back because it was local. Now I will definitely go elsewhere. read more

I've taken my 4 year old son here three times now. The first two visits with Maribel were great. My son is a bit scared of loud noises and she was compassionate and helped put him at ease. His hair looked great both times and we left happy. If I was just rating those first two times, I would have given them a 5 and frankly, Maribel is the only reason they are now getting a 3. This most recent visit though was really bad. Maribel apparently no longer works there so we saw someone else instead. I didn't catch her name, but she was a bleached blonde woman. She seemed annoyed from the beginning even though she was 20 minutes late getting to us and I had not complained about that. I told her that my son did not like loud noises, but she did nothing to try to make the experience easier for him. The only time she spoke to him was to tell him to put his head this way or that way and left it up to me to reassure him and keep him calm. This was really upsetting to me. If she doesn't have the temperament needed to work with children, she really shouldn't be working in a children's salon. On top of all that, my son's hair looks really bad. She didn't fade the sides into the top and the front hairline is slanted to one side. The top is also really uneven. I kind of got the impression that she was rushing to try to make up the lost time from her prior appointment. I don't think we'll be going back which is a shame because my son really liked it before. read more

After reading many good reviews about Gee Gee's Cuts, I decided to make an appointment to take my son. My sister normally cuts his hair, but we only see her every couple of months. I wanted to find a salon that saw kids everyday and would be fun place for him to go regularly. The moment my son, husband, and I walked into the salon I knew I would never go back. First look, the place is dirty and dingy. The train table that everyone loved in the reviews I read was filthy, I was not about to allow my son to play with it. The stylist who came to get my son was not professional or appropriate for working with children. She had blue hair with the sides shaved and wore skull and crossbones as accessories. She took him back and allowed him to choose his seat. The options for kids seat were Thomas the Tank Engine, a motorcycle, and a pink power wheels jeep. These were not salon chairs, they were riding toys bolted to stands. They were not hygienic and I could not see how they can get them completely clean after each client. The stylist barely spoke and it took longer than any other haircut he has had. When she asked if it looked okay, it was a bit longer than I like to have it cut, but I told her yes because I could not make him sit there any longer. Each stylist that did not have a client, stopped to speak to my son as they passed. Getting a little one to sit for a haircut is tough and when all these strangers come up to interact with them, it makes it even harder when they just want mom's security. Once we left, my husband and I were so thankful to have walked out the door and were on the same page about everything. We will never return to Gee Gee's and I do not know how they are still in business. read more
