When I started going to Holiday Hair in Lititz about 15 years ago, they used to have 4-5 stylist working at any one time. There were a lot of customers going in and out or waiting in the sitting area. You were always greeted pleasantly and serviced asap. Stylists were always helpful and regular customers had a record of what they liked or purchased. You even used to get coupons via E-mail for specials. Now you go and are lucky if anyone is there to open on time if you get there first thing in the morning. They have one or two stylist on duty (if your lucky) but only because they have appointments for which they can charge more. Walking in without one is obviously an annoyance for them. Very unwelcoming even if I did want to make an appointment or wait for an opening (which is usually about 45-60 minutes anymore). I don't know how they stay in business and I suspect it won't be the case for very much longer at this rate. So sad to see it go downhill like this. read more

Green haired stylist has got to go. She messed up the guy in front of us and made my two year olds head look like a lawn mower ran over it. No exaggeration. The big sign out front said "highlights starting at $25", so I walked in and was charged $46 for highlights plus the cost of the trim. I spent over 3 hours in the salon chair and finally left with my hair still wet because I couldn't waste any more time. My highlights look so terrible, I had to buy a box of hair color on the way home and fix it myself. The toner wasn't applied evenly so I have highlights of all colors ranging from brassy blonde to bright orange to brown. Never again. read more

Walked in to get a quick hair cut done. We were forced to wait almost 10 minutes because the one stylist was doing the other stylists' hair. There was another customer getting her hair done while we were there - an innocent elderly woman who appeared to be in her early 80s. As the client left the salon, the three stylists proceeded to ridicule her for the way she walked and questioning why she brought a cane if she wasn't going to use it properly. Very inappropriate & unprofessional behavior and I was absolutely appalled when I witnessed this. Who on earth would make fun of a harmless elderly woman?! I just had my 6th or 7th cut from Jen at this salon. She really does a nice job! It is always well balanced and she gives great tips about how to style it on my own. I've had equivalent service at a swankier salon for 4 times the money. I like the option of either scheduling an appointment or dropping in on a whim. read more
