The course was very interesting, with lots of great information and some other important things that usually people are worried about - like "when is it ok to shoot to the back". I surely found lots of needed laws for Florida state. Our instructor Chris was very knowledgeable, fun and was able to answer on all of our questions. He was very…read moreinformational and serious when he had to be, but he made the class enjoyable and very interactive. Because of covid the actual class was done via zoom and the competency portion was done in person at the facility. At first I was very skeptical because the class was going to be done via zoom. I thought I wouldn't be taught as effectively as I would had it been in person but I was very wrong. He called on us multiple times to ask us questions, role play certain scenarios, and even interact in the chat. The portion in person was very simple too, you simply show competency with a firearm and he explains a little more and gives you in the end your certificate. A lot of police departments aren't offering fingerprints right now due to COVID-19 but he has BOS coming to his facility twice a week to do fingerprints for $50, which I went ahead and did. This facility also offers multiple courses for firearm safety and training which I do look forward to taking sometime soon. Overall I truly recommend this place if you're looking to getting your concealed weapons license or if you want further firearm training. Chris is definitely doing amazing things here!

I purchased a four week Groupon for $99. There actually weren't many details, just said 4 week course. There was also a two two-hour class beginner/intermediate for $65, and 1 class for $45. $99 was the best value so I purchased it thinking I would have 4 (2 hour) classes (most classes were two or three hours). When I emailed the owner to schedule the classes, owner replied something about not doing the 4 week course anymore and now it was just 2 classes, 2 hours each. (I was thinking, hmmm he just decided to change the deal whenever he wants, even though Groupon says 4 week class?) And I said, ok, well that sounds like the $65 deal. Then I asked,"Can I have a $34 refund or credit toward another class?" He was like, oh that $65 is not two different classes, it is actually just 1 class for two people or one person can take the same class twice. I was thinking, who is going to buy a Groupon to go to the same class twice?!? And it says NO WHERE on the Groupon that the $65 class is for two people. It reads "two two-hour classes beginner/intermediate." Tell me what you think that means? Apparently in this case 2+2= 1. Fine print actually says "limit 1 per person"! I emailed him back screenshots showing that it does not say anything about two people attending or one person going to the same class twice. And he simply repeated that the class was for two people taking 1 class or 1 person taking the same class twice. At this point I was like, Forget it. I guess I couldn't read the invisible fine print he was talking about. (?????) I felt a bait and switch scheme going on. I told the owner that, and of course no reply. I was looking forward to taking many courses, but I will take my classes elsewhere. I informed Groupon about the misleading offer, and that it needs to be updated to accurately reflect that first of all there is no actual 4 week course and secondly the $65 course is for a person who wants to take the same class twice. (?!?!? Who would do that?!?) anyway, just a warning if you are interested in the Groupon. Beware! I have 2 stars Bc I didn't take classes, but very disappointed the owner allows a misleading ad to promote his business.

These guys checked the weather and surf conditions and gave us a time/place meet up spot to ensure maximum fun. Our instructor Chris was excellent. We each got a board as part of the lesson that fit our size. They tolerated our lateness and even gave us some extra time and were very understanding. The lesson started on land with some basic stretching, positioning, and understanding of stance and spring to standing. After that, we got right to it and Chris was amazing at helping us fight through the break and getting our boards to the right place and orientation. He gave us a 1-2-3 count each time to help us get the feel with surfing. As a beginner, I was able to successfully stand up and ride many waves throughout the lesson. It was immensely fun and Chris was a huge part of it. He was super positive and always encouraging even when we fell off immoderately or miss timed the waves. By the end of the lesson I felt pretty comfortable doing it on my own. These guys were one of the more affordable that we looked at when comparing a few different places including some in Miami where I think the surf is often worse. It was also a great work out too. I can't wait to get back on a board and surf again.
