What a great experience! I have taken my sons to JT's for years, but decided to give the Academy a try. Everyone was welcoming and Loral took amazing care of my 12 year old. I love how respectful they are for their clients. My son felt comfortable, even during the teachable moments, when he was surrounded by students and instructors. I loved that Lo asked my son what he wanted, and kept my son engaged throughout the process. The instructor in charge was so friendly and treated the students and my son very well. Great haircut at a decent price. Highly recommended! Staff was courteous and very friendly.

Very poor. Came at 12:30 for a haircut and paid for it. Others came after me and were taken first. Had to leave at 1:00 get my money back as could not wait any longer. Perhaps they have never heard of first come first serve. Do they expect people to wait all day. Poor way to run a business. Any idea first come first serve. Don't make people wait a half hour when you have dozens of students there not doing anything. What a horrible way to run a business when you need customers for the students. Got there at 12:25 p.m.-second one-and was the only one not taken by 1:00 p.m. Some people do have other things to do! read more

Brought my mom to it academy this morning at 11:51am. She is going through chemotherapy and was just feeling like she can't do the falling out the hair thing anymore. I brought her to JT's Academy to get it shaved. We didn't realize the students leave for lunch at 12pm. The beautiful receptionist young lady told us but she also let us know that she is going to go to the back and see if anyone can fit her in. The talented young man Simone came into the lobby to help my mom into the back. Not knowing her situation before she sat, he helped her to the chair and asked her what would she like. I explained she wanted a nice clean shaved. She's going through chemo and just wants a simple bald head. That compassion and empathy this young man showed my mother you can't teach! He's a wonderful soul and a great barber. Was very gentle with her and kept asking is she was okay! Simone you're going to go far in your career and future endeavors! The cut took a bit took long, but I appreciated the instructor guiding the student. It's worth a shot to try this place.

Great buzz cut and beard trim yesterday. Very happy with results and the guy who did this was careful and exacting. Be patient this is not a quick in and out haircut salon. These are students, so they are refining their craft and a supervisor is standing by and guiding or assisting so you'l get a great cut. I just graduated from jt cuts academy and I couldn't be happier with my experience. It was more then just a school it was a family and I've made amazing connections and friendships with the students and staff aswell. It's so rare to find a school that cares about the students genuinely and this school definitely does. I started not knowing anything about hair cutting and I left feeling confident and knowledgeable. I love this school. It has an intimate setting which is great for one on one help while learning your craft. The instructor Mrs Michelle is absolutely awesome. As a business owner you are the face of your business. You had me take time out of my day to meet with you at your school for you to tell me that you don't offer the restricted barbering program which I had had multiple conversations with you about. When you contacted me to confirm our meeting you should have advised me at that time that the program that I was interested in was not available. As I contemplated taking the 1200 hour barbering program, which is 600 hours over the state requirement, you tell me that I won't be a good fit for your school because I was honest enough to tell you that I may be moving next year. Your school is a cash school so i would have been paying out of pocket so weather I completed the program or moved should be up to me the student. Honestly, I don't feel like you did everything you could to help me achieve my goal. You were the only school who would not except any of my hours from my full Specialist license to help with cost and time. Yes, your school maybe the cheapest in town but the treatment was PRICELESS! I'll be sure to let the DOE know that a month of researching, phone calls, and emails was a waste of time and energy. read more
