Mine is a somewhat complicated tax situation. The CPA sent an engagement letter after reviewing my documents. Naturally one would have questions and would want clarifications before agreeing to pay a big sum for fee. But she did not respond. When I did call her, she said she can't take up my case and put the blame on me - apparently I was asking too many questions about the fee. Like as though one has to accept her terms without question. The engagement letter also did not mention any date by which I need to sign it. None of my questions would warrant a non-response which is pretty unprofessional. I get that she probably had a chance to earn more money per unit time if she took up other cases but one could state that in a more professional manner rather than choosing not to respond and putting the blame on the client when they actually reach out. read more

Just wanted to share horrible experience I got with Geetika Ahuja. I called her. My questions were 1) How much it will cost for filing 2015 taxes if I go with her? 2) Do I need to file amendment for a previous year's tax return? She asked me to come and meet her. When I met her I first asked her for all the charges 1) for amendment she told me the charges such as hourly charge to determine if there is any benefit. I said ok. 2) Then I talked to her about 2015 how much charges it will be. And here comes the surprise!! At the end of the session I said, ok I will let you know if we can proceed for amendment and the 2015 taxes with you. And she said you need to pay for this session. This counts as session!!!! I was totally surprised and taken aback. No-one ever charges for telling you how much charge it's going to take! When I asked her, why didn't you tell me before, she was very rude with me.
