Quote from Geico auto insurance company
    Jevgeni D.

I wish I could give zero stars. I'm 42, with a perfect driving record, and was involved in a non-fault accident. At the time, I was running a small business and relied on my car to work. GEICO's handling of my claim was terrible. The process was slow, frustrating, and dismissive. I was out of commission for months and received almost no meaningful compensation. Now, after all that, they're quoting me over $10,000 for six months of auto insurance in New Jersey. And they even present it as a "discount." Really? After ruining my work and finances? If you're looking for an insurance company that actually has your back, don't choose GEICO. They don't care about fault, fairness, or your livelihood -- only about taking your money.

Geico is a terrible auto insurance to deal with if you have a claim - they got too big and incompetent - filing a claim is a black hole - agents, although they speak calmly and take your information - they do nothing about your claim which seems to disappear in a black hole. if you try to file online or on their mobile app, it does not work - the loading photos app does not allow uploading photos - see image below of the page when you try to upload photos on the app. there is no response to your claim - just a wall - one Geico agent gave me the claim adjuster's name to follow up with - Justin Serenyi - 412 526 6201, I called Justin and left a message - found out, 5 days later, from another agent promising 24 hrs. response, that Justin was not the correct adjuster, it was an error. - a professional agent (Justin) should've call back and let us know there was an error, and he is not the actual agent, and we should not wait for his call back, which never came anyway. day 5, I then called back (takes about 30 min. wait to speak to an agent - who does nothing for you) - Geico agent Taryn responded and promised a review in 24 hours - plus 2 days later, still no response - We are Geico policy holders and paid our premium in full in October 2024 - $1660 - but it seems we have no policy - is this even legal, to take money for insurance coverage but not respond accordingly? - they got too big, and they are hiring people with poor skills, unprofessional, unable to look into things carefully, zero analytical skills, rogue, impolite people off the street - GEICO is equivalent with incompetence today - I will not recommend Geico for anyone and discourage my own family from dealing with Geico - will cancel my policy, will pay this claim out of pocket, and NEVER EVER will deal with Geico - I will cancel my policy and try to get reimbursed for the remains of term -

    My damage.

I have had Geico for a little over 20 years. Never had an accident or ticket. A guy hits me, tells me he has no damage so he will leave. I said no, I want to file a police report. (To protect myself from future lawsuits.) He got mad, waited, then filed a complaint to Geico. They found in his favor and now my premium went up. Every commercial/ad I see says Geico has accident forgiveness for your first accident. Where is my accident forgiveness? He hits the back of my car and it's my fault? Wouldn't the police office have said it was my fault? All he said was that this was a tricky intersection. I am so upset. After 20+ years of paying on time, no accidents, no tickets, my premiums go up for a false claim. His claim was for over $300. All he had to do was wash my paint off of his bumper. I attached photos to show the ridiculousness of this claim.

Overpriced insurance, you can do much better elsewhere. Treat your customers like the good working people that they are.
