They are the worst! Communication is poor. I found out they had automatically included my ex, and my brother (who I only quoted), on my insurance policy when I distinctly only chose myself on the plan when I purchased it online. They also canceled my insurance without even calling me because my ex's driver's license expired. I asked that they help me out, but they are ruthless and have no compassion. Zero Stars due to customer service during a accident claim. My wife was rear end in our car and the car that hit her was ticketed and insured by Geico. I submitted a claim after two weeks, Geico admitted their customer at fault. They then told me the wrong place to go to get my car fixed. If it wasn't the good customer service by the body shop, I would of been out of money. I had to re-request multiple times to get a rental car. After I finally got my car in after 3 weeks after the accident. Geico only approved 3 days of a rental car. After the shop submitted the time line, they extend only after I called the adjuster to fix the rental car. I followed up with the shop fixing my car and they kept extending the fix due to supply chain issues of getting parts. Rental car company was on the same page. A few weeks past and I get a call from the rental car company and they said Geico all of sudden stopped paying the rental car. I called Geico and they said they are done with paying the rental car. Today, Enterprise is now trying to charge me almost $1,000 in rental fees due to Geico not paying my rental Car. If I return my car, my wife and I will have to figure out how to take care of 5 kids in sports and an elderly mother-in-law. We will be down to 1 car. I have never in my experience being in a car accident receive the worst customer care. The claims person over at Geico, Javonte Johnson, has horrible customer care and no regards in taking care of the customer or the person who was put out by their customer. If you are considering Geico, please don't. You will be put out by them and so will anyone else if you are in an accident. read more

Okay, so most of y'all know that my truck was stolen over a month ago. What most of y'all do not know is it Geico was supposed to get me a rental car and it took a week and a half for that process to take place. So then they find my truck and made me go to San Antonio from Houston to inspect, and I looked at it a week ago Monday and I did a virtual damage inspection. The agent said that he's been doing this for a long time, but he didn't see I had GMC wheels on my Chevrolet pickup, he didn't notice the damaged door handle where they broke in on the truck, he didn't notice the damage on the key cylinder where they stuck the screwdriver to start it, he didn't notice where they damaged the glove box key cylinder, stole the spare tire, stole the hitch, and put about a 45-inch scratch on the passenger side. If anybody has any ideas for what I could do, I would appreciate it. Thank you. This is a friend of mine. Geico is horrible. Do not give them your money. read more

This company SUCKS, and I mean big time. Filed an accident claim for someone hitting my vehicle. 8 days later my vehicle hadn't been towed to the collision center. They gave me some goofy a$$ estimate to fix my car, which was hit by a large pickup truck that was speeding with a drunk driver behind the wheel. Between waiting for an adjuster, trying to get a rental car, and dealing with the tow truck company for over 9 hrs in one day I would give Geico an "F". I would be embarrassed to have this as my personal insurance. read more

23 Feb 2022. Zero stars would be more appropriate. I was rear-ended recently and the young female fled. I took a pic oh her car/plate, presented it to Geico. She lied and they refused to pay for my medical visit. I was a Geico customer, mature woman who has no reason to lie. Geico took her word over mine and the sheriff. This was the worse experience. I had to report the accident twice before they actually began the claim. I can't wait for my survey because it will not be kind nor will I continue to pay for being called a liar. You tell me, how else would I have taken a photo of her car if she hadn't hit me? Please do not do business with this company. If it happened to me who does not have a record of tickets or accidents, you would/could be next Luckily a hit and run is a felony in Texas. I called Geico to request a windshield repair refund. Recorder said I will have a 30 minutes waiting time and suggested I request on line. So I did. The system rejected my claim because I do not have comprehensive coverage. This was against my understanding of free preventive maintenance, but it is ok. Then I waited 30 minutes to talk to a real Geico person, asked him to remove the claim. He refused. You may have known, all claims are accessible to other insurance companies. I am unhappy with Geico because: 1. If Geico have a shorter waiting time, I could have talked to a real person before I file a claim; 2. If Geico have a better web design, they should have an option allowing me to withdraw the claim since there is no payment. I have been with Geico for 15+ years. Had one experience with Geico in 2021. Geico and the other driver accepted responsibility for the auto accident. My BMW was 10 months old with under 4,000 miles on it, cost $57,000 new. The repair costs were estimated to be $14,000 and then later increased to $19,000. Despite my objections, they then decided to total out the car rather than repair it. They gave me 24 hours to return the rental car and paid me only $38,000. The accident that was not my fault ended up costing me $21,000 to rebuy the same car. I suspect that Geico sold the damaged car for near $38,000 resulting in the accident costing them near nothing but costing me $21,000. They are a shitty company and I would never buy their coverage. read more

Their customer service team is terrible, and does not care about keeping their clients. My premiums have continuously risen despite the fact that I haven't had any claims! I haven't been in an accident and I don't have speeding tickets. Other companies offer incentives for safe drivers, but not Geico! They just raise your rates, and blame it on some stupid excuse. My biggest frustration with Geico is based on my recent rental car fiasco. I evacuated from Hurricane Harvey to Dallas, and then had to fly from Dallas to Florida for a job interview. The airline company was wonderful & switched my flights/rental car for free. The car rental place however would NOT ACCEPT my GEICO INSURANCE. I had to pay an additional $186 for 3 days of rental insurance or else I couldn't rent a car that I had already paid for 4 days of travel for. The woman gave me a list of other car insurance companies that they accept. When I called GEICO customer service to explain the problem she was rude & just transferred me to the cancellation department. I certainly won't be staying with Geico after this, and will be warning whoever I can to switch/not get Geico. read more

Worst car insurance ever! I was in an accident last Friday when I called to file the claim I was told that the reps are off weekends so I'd have to wait until Monday to file the claim. Monday comes around the rep tells me they can't give me a rental car because when I moved last month I changed my deductible from $250 to $500 and they have to investigate before they can give me a rental. I've been 5 days without a car or rental and they're not working hard to make sure this is taken care of. I'll never renew with them and this is someone that's had them for over 10 years. read more

lol Geico insurance in general is absolutely horrible and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. My car was stolen, then found. But in the whole month & a half before my car was found the service was so bad. I actually had to go to the police department & send geico the police report to expedite the process. It's apparent that the agent didn't even look at the car once it was found. He quoted us for a bunch of things that weren't even wrong with the car. So I paid a $500 deductible for my car to get detailed & the windshield to get repaired. I could've done that myself for well under $500. The agents don't answer the phones, they take their sweet time on claims & are too lazy to do a real examination of your car. Use them if horrible service is your thing. read more

I provided Geico with all the requested proof of my claim, and everything else they requested regarding my claim. 2 years went by, and my claim had not been resolved. At first they said they were going to fix my car and then a month later they are telling me it's a total loss. They should be giving me enough to replace what I have, but instead they are giving me less than kbb. They add the inflation rate to the parts they were buying to fix it, but they don't want to add it when they just want to total it out. if they added the inflation rate I would be able to replace my vehicle with something close to what I had. It is messed up how you have to argue with these people. I was a victim in this case and shouldn't have to fight with them. they don't care about doing there jobs and taking care of the people. They only care about not spending money to pay for their clients carnage. This is just the auto claims side don't even get me started on the medical side. so now I'm out a vehicle and can't afford to replace it. service is poor I would highly recommend taking business elsewhere. people are quick to give you attitude they over draft and will combat you when asking for your money back. when you auto pay they will take your whole check and leave you in debt, when talking to customer service they will blame you and say it's your fault. They are unhelpful even when you explain you have rent do they will say to extend your pay but will charge a ridiculous fee. They do not help, they are just a money hungry company. This is the worst experience and customer service I've ever had. I called the claims customer service my call was routed to the inbound call center in Katy, Texas. I spoke with a customer claims adjuster named Ashley her sales code is Ak83. Rather than hearing me out being empathetic or even listening to the call which I asked her multiple times if the call is recorded she said it is she began to get argumentative with me on the phone. Once I realize it was pointless to speak to her in the call was going nowhere I asked to speak to her supervisor she told me her supervisor is unavailable she was very rude she would not try to get me in contact with my adjuster Or my adjusters superior. read more

They stole our money for years and the only wreck was two weeks ago when a Geico policy holder slammed into us which pushed us into another vehicle. Their customer totaled my car almost 2 months ago and Alex M adjuster has done about nothing other than Stonewalling us and is non responsive to our countless calls and emails. Total joke this company. Not even the supervisor is responsible or responsive so in the meantime we keep calling, have filed a complaint with the Texas insurance board plus will be filing a lawsuit against their customer and against the company for fraud and misrepresentation. This entire company is freaking a joke, I have been a #Geico consumer for more then 4-5 years WITHOUT a incident. This year, I purchased a new car and got my full coverage #Geico insurance that day. Fast forward a couple months and I get hit pulling into work.(First ever ACCIDENT) a police report was issued and it states that I AM NOT AT FAULT. So my question to #Geico is, why am I still paying $250-$501 to get my car fixed. I WAS NOT AT FAULT, I have a police report. I followed your steps and rules as a safe drive and I'm still getting F'd over. I was denied a rental by his policy and my policy(pay out of pocket), I still have missing parts on my car, I was temporarily suspended from my job for 5 days because I couldn't get back a forth to work. I have a new issues with my windows malfunctioning, and I keep asking for the complaints department and I get transferred to another department like service or claims. The people here are somewhat friendly but you can tell they don't care too much about their job. Presence is everything and they just don't present very professionally at all. Everybody is so loud and obnoxious, the dress code is very extreme they are a little too lenient. The building is very nice and clean hopefully they can get their people together. read more

Geico insurance is a nightmare. You can never feel safe while your car is insured by this company. They would do anything just to postpone your claim, and use the term "still investigating" for no reason. They would also ask for impossible proofs that no one would think of doing while having an accident. I was hit last May by a drunk driver. Geico is my insurance company and they said they would take care of everything and then recoup their money from the other car's insurance. I let them take the car to their preferred body shop. A month later i have to pay hundreds to body shop and sign papers before they would give me my keys. Now 7 months later, and 4 stays in their body shop i have a 2015 Toyota with a crooked steering wheel, lights that don't work, a crooked driver door, a rear bumper that is falling off and a car with 21000 miles that's scary to drive at highway speeds: ( haven't heard a word from Geico about my up front money, their body shop charged an outrageous amount to not properly fix my car and now I'm just another unreasonable unhappy Geico customer: ( read more

I have been customer for over 20 years. In the past two years I have had to use the road side assurance twice due to construction debris in the road. The tow contractors they use or have contracts with are terrible. Both times they never showed up. It is scary sitting on the side of a highway with cars speeding past. I waited in my car three hours last time until an independent tow truck was able to help. I will be changing insurance soon. read more

I look at their website and they are all about customer support and results in a timely matter. Well i have put in my claim Oct 30th now i get side swiped the guy that he us pleaded not to have police involved. Had us the insurance card and assured us that this would be taken care of. So i did my part with the problems i am already faced with. i now have a car that is undrive- able right side completely messed up unsafe for my small children and not safe to get on freeways and wheels feel like they will give out at any moment, Loss my job due to having money to keep ubers or lyfts.. Now ever they have no empathy or to give give out and mean. I have proven all the proof and documents for this accident. I checked up my claim every since them.. all i get is I UNDERSTAND, I CAN'T IMAGE HOW DIFFICULT THIS IS FOR YOU!.. but there is no action to help that statement.. Me and babies get but if account hold doesn't give his side we are liable... but he gave all his info so the insurance could handle this.. now because dogging them i Guess his silence wins.. the estimated cost to repair is over 2000 dollars... this is serious our only transportation which leads me to feed my kids.. i am providing all documents required but every time i follow up.. nothing but empty empathy.. && no solutions.. Well today i get a call form the "Claims Investigator" Candace.. i am only pointing the horrible lack caring problem solving and definitely not living up to the website promise.. I was a "Customer Loyalty Specialist" who took her job and customer serious.. Because i Truly understand and am able to demonstrate pure empathy.. but I made sure to listen to fix the problem fast and ensure customer i would handle what they were upset about. I took pride in my job because i want the same service.. Thanks to the account holder he took my job and peace of mind.. so i am turning to the insure company for his actions ... Candace assured that this case would be investigated.. Excellent customer service every time that I have called. When I called roadside assist, someone came in 30 minutes. I also have flood insurance with them through FEMA for $450 a year. Both our cars are insured through them and we got a good discount. read more

If you have Geico GET OUT NOW!! They are a NIGHTMARE! They give you the run around, they take FOREVER to process a claim-- my car was stolen TWICE, the second time I blame Geico because they took FOREVER to approve my supplement for the locks of my car to be changed, reprogrammed/ re-keyed they took my rental away and had me driving in the car knowing that the thieves still have my keys! NOBODY EVER ANSWERS! When I got my car back the second time the car damage adjuster tried to make me pay more than my deductible because they felt the body shop was over charging them, after arguing with them and trying to talk to every manager I could all I got from them was "I am sorry ma'am we cannot do anything for you" -- this is the last email i received "That is correct, all you should owe is your deductible to the shop. However, since you have signed a repair authorization at Mac Haik, that puts you in contract with them for the repairs. We have paid your claim fairly and in a timely manner. We will not cover anything additional your shop of choice is charging." which I thought was complete bull****. When I got to the shop to pick up my car they told me Geico had called and told them they would cover everything the shop was charging.. They will try anything to not pay!! If I would have kept my mouth shut and told them I would pay the additional cost they would have gladly let me. They DO NOT care about their customers. They made this whole mess more stressful than it needed to be for me. DO NOT GET GEICO and if you have it GET OUT!! They are by far the worst insurance company EVER!!! read more

I recently was involved in an accident with an insured person of Geico. I was hit in the rear in a truck that is 14 months old. I had an estimate done by a Geico adjuster who refuses to pay for factory parts to be used as replacement parts. Geico instead wants to use aftermarket parts which do not fit correctly and deteriorates much quicker than factory parts.When I asked that he use factory parts instead of aftermarket parts he told me to get with the body shop that was repairing the vehicle and they should be able to "cover" the factory parts. Now the factory parts are more expensive so I am not really sure why Geico would ask a third party to pick up their bill. My vehicle had FACTORY parts on it before Geico damaged my vehicle, I believe the replacement parts should be the same. The adjuster ABSOLUTLY will NOT pay for factory parts. I then tried my claims agent TWICE and have not received a call back. I refuse to have aftermarket parts put on a new vehicle so I will have to pay for the factory parts myself. Folks if you pay for Geico insurance you may want to rethink your insurer, if they treat customers that are not their clients then imagine how they will treat you once they already have your money. Oh BTW the difference is $100, they refuse to pay $100 more on a $1,600 bill. #geicowontpay read more

Geico is the worst insurance! I had a horrible experience with them. I had a bad accident and they refused to total my vehicle. Said that it would take 2 weeks to fix. It took 6 weeks. Said they would pay for the extra rental car fees. When they didn't I called. They said my adjuster was no longer with the company and that they had no record of him approving for the additional car rental fees past the first 2 weeks and I would be responsible. Even Enterprise called them and told them they had talked to the adjuster and he approved to cover the additional rental days. They still refused to pay. At the end of it all they spent $10,000 more than the value of my vehicle to fix it (frame was bent and they replaced it rather than totalled it). I basically could get a lawyer or pay the car rental fees which were over $2000. Enterprise cut the price down $500 for me at least. I tell everyone I know not to ever use them and give them horrible reviews every chance I get. Sadly it is my only recompense. read more
