This is a great spot in Venice for coffee drinks or ice cream, my favorite is ice cream in the coffee. It has plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the water, and they've been in business for quite a while.

Apparently this is the oldest gelateria in Venice. It was rich and creamy and very well priced. Highly recommend. It does get very busy and the space is small. I wouldn't necessarily suggest getting sandwiches but definitely a spot for coffee and gelato.

Popular thanks to patio seating overlooking Giudecca Canal Gelateria Nico is a family-owned establishment on Fondamenta Zattere ai Gesuati, hours from 07h30 to 18h00 every day but Thursday finding outside seats occupied with additional seats within. Not offering Gelato before 11h00, morning better suited for Espresso and Pastries, guests will find a fairly basic selection priced higher than many, the Waffle's visibly taken from cellophane and rewarmed while Bread topped with Ham and Cheese comes from a beg before getting pressed. Relaxed in terms of service, well suited for those hoping to watch the sunset over an Aperol Spritz, fans of Cannoli should look elsewhere as Nico's taste stale while the Cornetti and Rice Tart are average, at best.

This was recommended as "pretty good still" (or something like that) by a local. It was fine. It's near the touristy area of St. Mark's Square. I visited in the evening. The gelato didn't taste as fresh and was perhaps a little too cold. It wasn't frostbitten, but I could somehow taste the coldness and I suspect it impacted the flavor. I'd try Nico again, but I'd try other places first.

It's a really good option for gelato. A great compliment is the large indoor seating area and wonderful ocean front. You should take your gelato and explore. At night it's especially pretty and there's no wait for ordering. You'll also find a basic café bar inside. As for the gelato, the chocolates are all very good but not great. The strawberry is especially great given the pieces in it and the creamy texture. At €3 for two scoops in this area you're getting a deal you'll enjoy.

Cute little place alongside the pier. Gelato was alright and there were a lot of American customers here.

Right in front of the water so it was lovely to grab some gelato and eat it in front of a nice view. Gelato was decent, not the best, but an affordable price.

Great gelato place just next to a boat station. I had the coffee and straciatella flavors here, both of which I really liked. They are cost only, just FYI. Beware that you cannot sit at one of the tables outside the gelateria if you just order gelato.

White-chocolate shell, chocolate-topped, pistachio ice cream bar!

One of my favorite gelato places in Venice! €2,50 for two scoops, not too bad (compared to Chicago prices)!

The ingredients taste incredibly fresh, natural, and high quality, allowing each flavor to shine without being overly sweet or artificial. Every bite was rich, creamy, and exactly what authentic Italian gelato should be. One piece of advice: eat it fast! We happened to visit during the record-breaking heat wave, and our gelato started melting almost the moment it was handed to us. Not exactly a complaint, just proof that this is the perfect treat on a scorching Venetian afternoon.

I asked for recommendations and his were all on point, including the changing daily special flavor. Today's was dark chocolate and it was the best gelato we have had on this multi city Italian tour, and Venice is city #10 on this tour for us! In fact it was so good my family of four went back after dinner for a second helping and to try other flavors. We experienced the same fast and friendly service from Dennis, and the same outstanding quality and deliciousness from the gelato. Highly recommend grabbing gelato here for anybody visiting. So, I was super excited to stumble across this self serve gelateria close to the Rialto Bridge The shop is shiny and modern, especially in such a historic town as Venice. The staff are helpful and offer tasting of the gelato if you're not sure which flavour to choose. They haven't quite figured out using small sample cups yet, so you get a generous helping of samples They had 12 flavours on offer, a mixture of creamy gelatos and fruity sorbets. Both were amazing, especially considering they came out of machines. My fear that they'd taste like soft scoop ice cream proved unfounded. I chose a refreshing zingy tangerine sorbet and the girlfriend went for decadently luxurious vanilla They offer paper cups in 2 sizes as well as waffle cones and cups To finish off your creation, they offer a wide mix of sweet toppings, sauces and preserved fruit. Some fresh fruit might be a good addition for them to consider Payment is by weight. For our full small bowl, we paid 3.95 Euros

There were tons of flavors and even more toppings. They even had a whipped cream dispenser that was to die for. The milk flavor was especially good. I didn't care for the berry syrup(?) that I tried but my boyfriend was fond of it. The decor was really cool, everything in the store was white and everything added to the atmosphere of the store. Very clean and the employees were very nice and both spoke some english. Reasonable prices, about what I'd expect to pay a self-serve frozen yogurt place in America. Both my boyfriend's and my gelato was around €7. If I could take any piece of Italy home with me, it would be this geletaria.

Grom was always my fave place in the Wevil, NYC, but I wanted to try something new since it's a chain. Well, luckily for me I stumbled upon this place that had zero reviews (odd). For two flavours you must order a medium at 2,50 euros which seemed to be a Florence-Venice small but the cones were fresh and delicious. The girl working there was quite patient with my photos and testing and she told me that they had two locations. I noticed that they had lots of sorbets and frozen yogurt from a machine, but of course I stuck with my standby hazelnut and chocolate which I love, and the rest of the selection seemed smaller than the usual. The gelato was stored properly in stainless steel bins which made it seem more authentic and more fresh than the pile-it-high places. It did drip fast but if you are quick you can turn right upon leaving and sit in Campo San Margarita square on one of the few benches to eat. Just watch for the pigeons and little Italian ladies who might steal the end of your bench and leave you very little room while they merrily complete their crosswords (which was pretty funny). Luckily for us, we did not get hit by anything and it was such a nice break from all of the cars and Vespas that we previously had to dodge in Roma and Firenze!
