However, we decided to take a chance when the line disappeared, plus we were desperate. First of all, very expensive for gelato, even more than prices at renowned spots - and tiny scoops! Workers very stingy, even with giving a couple extra spoons. Also, no samples, our first time experiencing that at a shop. Flavors tasted fine, which was this shop's only saving grace. Ultimately, because there aren't many options in Vernazza, it was an okay gelato spot, but the overall experience left a sour taste. Hopefully the servers we encountered were an outlier!

The gelato tasted exactly like perfectly roasted pistachios in a creamy form. It tasted so real and fresh and at that moment I knew how much I loved Italy.
