Be ready for a wait for this gelato spot but it's worth it. Probably the best gelato we had overall in our Italy trip. It was rich, creamy, and delicious. Prices were really reasonable.

TLDR: Chic, modern gelato shop with great texture and strong flavors. A few flaws, but overall high quality. Gelatoteca Suso is a great gelato stop in Venice. The line moves fast, and the shop has a chic, modern-cozy vibe. The gelato is good, as it's soft, creamy, and full of flavor. I had tiramisú Venezia and manet. The manet was fantastic: gianduja with pistachio cream and a hint of salt for a rich, balanced bite. The tiramisù base was tasty, but the ladyfinger pieces were dry and unsoaked, which made them more distracting than delicious. One curious detail: no fior di latte, which I usually use to gauge quality. A little suspicious, but overall this place delivers. The colors were slightly saturated, but texture and flavor made up for it. It's a solid spot I'd recommend.

Popular gelato spot in Venice with a modern, fun vibe. Line moves quickly. They have great flavors. My favorite part was the chocolate sprinkle cone and the branded wafer, so instagrammable and fun. But the gelato itself was delicious as well. I would have a hard time skipping this if I'm ever back in Venice. It is a little more expensive than other shops but we didn't mind. Great location, walkable from most of the main spots and neighborhoods. Very small place, no where to sit. We just stood outside the shop and ate our gelato.

Probably the most recommended gelato place in Venice. However, I don't think there was anything that outstanding about it. I appreciate how they have a variety of unique flavors, but the price is basically double other shops and the texture/flavor isn't that memorable.

Hands down the best gelato I've had. Went there 3 times in 2 days just to try all the different flavors

Suso is popular, so lines are expected. They have two locations in Venice. I got the manet- Gianduja gelato (chocolate and hazelnuts), covered with pistachio cream with sweet Cervia salt. I mainly got it because it is a specialty flavor and has pistachio. I should've tried it first. (They allow one sample.) It was a bit too sweet for my taste buds.

Honestly my favorite gelato in Venice! The flavors are unique, the quality is divine and the service is always so kind. Beware, there is almost always a line out the door but totally worth the wait.

The best gelato we had! There was a long line out the door and we arrived but it was worth it!

    Two, two scoop cones

I got the fragola and Olympia and both were good but the fragola was better. The Olympia also melted super quickly i literally couldn't eat it and my hands ended up being really sticky after a minute

Such great gelato! I found this place through TikTok and it didn't disappoint! The cookie flavor and berry were fantastic. Went twice on this trip and already planning to go again before we leave. Creamy, flavorful, delicious!

There is basically always a line, and I'm not a line person. BUT I am glad I waited for this. This gelato is that good! It is so much better and half the price of what we get in the US. How frustrating lol. I recommend the signature flavor with caramel and toffee!

You know the saying "twice on Sunday", well my fam doesn't mess around. Thrice on Sunday is how we roll. After dinner we finally found Suso. It came highly recommended from friends who visited last week. Only tried two flavors, coffee and strattiacella. The selection was amazing! Some really unique ones like Suso, Olympia, Maristica. See pix for flavors! They use natural ingredients and change their menu seasonally. They also offer a cookie cup (like cone but shaped as a cup!) Highly recommend Will come again tomorrow !

Grom was always my fave place in the Wevil, NYC, but I wanted to try something new since it's a chain. Well, luckily for me I stumbled upon this place that had zero reviews (odd). For two flavours you must order a medium at 2,50 euros which seemed to be a Florence-Venice small but the cones were fresh and delicious. The girl working there was quite patient with my photos and testing and she told me that they had two locations. I noticed that they had lots of sorbets and frozen yogurt from a machine, but of course I stuck with my standby hazelnut and chocolate which I love, and the rest of the selection seemed smaller than the usual. The gelato was stored properly in stainless steel bins which made it seem more authentic and more fresh than the pile-it-high places. It did drip fast but if you are quick you can turn right upon leaving and sit in Campo San Margarita square on one of the few benches to eat. Just watch for the pigeons and little Italian ladies who might steal the end of your bench and leave you very little room while they merrily complete their crosswords (which was pretty funny). Luckily for us, we did not get hit by anything and it was such a nice break from all of the cars and Vespas that we previously had to dodge in Roma and Firenze!

The Tiramisu a perfect choice if you feel like some Tiramisu, but also feel like some ice cream. It was nice to sit at the canal enjoying the ice cream. The BEST Gelato We Had in Venezia!…read more As we wrapped up our day in Venezia and started making our way back to catch the train to Milano, we decided to make one last stop for dessert and I'm so glad we did! Without a doubt, this was the best gelato I had during my entire trip to Italy.I've been to Italy before, and this place is still my favorite. One thing I loved right away was that they let you sample the flavors before deciding, so you don't have to guess what you'll like. They also had plant-based gelato and plant-based milkshakes which was a huge plus for anyone who doesn't eat dairy. For such a small gelato shop, I was honestly surprised by how much they offered. They had a huge variety of gelato flavors, including Tiramisu Kinder Sorpresa Snickers and many others. They also had different cone options, including regular cones, chocolate-dipped cones, and sprinkle-covered cones. If you're not in the mood for gelato, they also had milkshakes and what looked like refreshing frozen drinks or slushies. I decided to get my gelato in a cone instead of a cup. I ordered the **Kinder Sorpresa and Snickers flavors, and they were absolutely incredible. The Kinder Sorpresa tasted just like the famous Kinder chocolate rich, creamy milk chocolate with a sweet cream flavor that melted in your mouth. The Snickers flavor was loaded with chocolate, caramel, and peanut flavor, just like the candy bar. The combination of the two was perfect. To top it off, my cone came with a thin, crispy cookie, which was a nice little bonus. Everyone in our group loved their gelato and milkshakes. The only exception was my sister. She ordered what I believe was the banana flavor, and she felt it was a little too basic for her taste. Everyone else, though, couldn't stop talking about how good theirs was. What made the experience even better was the customer service. The gentleman helping us was friendly, funny, engaging, and genuinely seemed to enjoy helping customers. He encouraged us to sample flavors and made the whole experience fun. If you're walking through the streets of Venezia this is a stop you don't want to miss. Whether you're craving gelato, a milkshake, or just a sweet treat before heading back to your hotel or train, this place has something for everyone. 10/10.Amazing flavors, lots of variety, great customer service, and hands down the best gelato I had in Italy. This is definitely a must-stop if you're visiting Venezia!
