At the top of the list was Gelax Nails so I called and booked a same day appointment. Jenifer did a beautiful job... I got a dip manicure in a lovely nude shade. She was gentle, removing the old dip polish, soaking it off with minimal sanding. She shaped my nails beautifully and applied the color perfectly. I'm super picky about my dip, manicures, and my litmus test is whether or not they have a smooth cuticle transition or not... And Jennifer did a fantastic job! I don't leave reviews often but i'm very disappointed in the service here. I arrived first to the nail shop. for a pedicure and brow wax. shortly after two other customers arrived. when my toes were finished the woman let me know I would have to wait 15 to 20 minutes to get my brows done while she did a full set on someone's nails. I got there first and brows take five minutes. She should have quickly done my eyebrows and sent me on my way instead. Had me sitting there for 30 plus minutes until I decided to just leave. Not to mention she charged me $60 just for my toes not sure that this was worth $60 but OK. read more

Just okay. Pros: decently cheap, easy to schedule an appointment, the gentleman that painted my nails was nice, the salon looked decently clean. Cons: color was uneven and sloppy in some places, the gentlemen cut me with the nail drill bit and then placed the bit back in the drawer and not in the sanitizing box. Hopefully they sanitize everything after the costumer leaves. Edit: didn't last 6 days without chipping. read more

My second time trying this place out. First time, I only had gel pedicure done, so I gave it another try, this time having manicure and pedicure and both gels, I noticed the technician who did my nails didn't really clean my cuticles. She just lightly dabbed the pusher onto my nails and that's it! I wasn't too happy about that. Now the problem is when you don't clean the cuticle and apply polish, as your nails grow out it will create a gap and the polish will lift up off your nails! That's what happened to mine, and mine are gel polish, which I anticipate to last longer than the regular nail polish. This isn't my first time having my gel manicure, we pay so much for this service and we get a crappy job. I definitely not coming back and cannot recommend this place. We need to go where our money's worth. A full set of gel mani and pedi is $75 plus tip. Definitely not worth spending at this place. read more

When I arrived at 10:25 for my 10:30 appointment, they were just taking the 10 o'clock appointment. Two women workers and one man doing nothing. The ten o'clock went to one of the woman workers. I was told: 2 minutes; then five minutes; then a few minutes. The other woman worker was just brushing on a coat of something, and it didn't look like she was anywhere near finished. I left. Today was my second time here with Erin doing my dipped ombré nails and Steve doing my pedicure. I couldn't be happier. They are respectful and professional and clean and so thorough. I never feel like they're having secret conversations about me and lots of interesting TV feeds to keep me entertained. The price doesn't change every time I go. I'm so happy to discover them. First let me say. I'm a bit of a nail snob, meaning, I'm overly picky, and the smallest flaw will keep me from going back. I found this nail salon on Yelp first, then did a Google search just to see if there were any reviews, it's a new salon, only open a few weeks, and all the reviews I did find were all 5 stars, so I figured let's give it a go. Let me say, the pedicure (I chose the deluxe) was absolutely amazing, everything I have been missing from my past pedicures in a long time, the amount of care he (Steve) put into the callus removal and my cuticles was the best, and then to top it off, 15 minutes per leg massage! What!!!!???!! Then I got my nails done, which my last place put the dip on heavy and the top coat even heavier, didn't clean the cuticles, or balance out the dip, there was so much that the under side of my nails were coated too, the nail tech (didn't get her name, but I think she was the owner) was amazing, took her time, and never let the file get to hot on any finger, my nails are fire and I'm happy that I finally found the spot in the area to go to! Added bonus, I got the cutest toe ring as a free gift for their grand opening. Annnnndddd the price was sooo reasonable! I can't say enough good things about Gelax! Went and got a new set here because of the positive reviews. Left with uneven nails pointing in all sorts of directions. I was also cut twice with the nail file drawing blood. I went back the next day to speak with the manager and show her how bad they looked. I was told they don't give refunds and that I could come back later or the next day and they would "look at them". There's no way to fix this mess without taking them off and starting new which I plan to do elsewhere especially after being dismissed like I was. Obviously never going back there. read more

I broke a nail and my regular nail salon is closed on Tuesdays so I decided to come to Gelax. The location is close to a few businesses I enjoy going to, which was why I decided to go since I knew it was brand new. The salon is BEAUTIFUL and extremely clean. I was greeted warmly and asked if I'd like a water. There is also a coffee bar for customers! I didn't get a pedicure, but the pedicure chairs are brand new and cool looking (like an iridescent seashell). My nail tech was the owner, Erin. She was so sweet and friendly, her drill work was excellent and her attention to detail was superb. I've been getting my nails done for over 20 years and Erin is so good she makes it look easy, but I'm sure it is not. There are several tv screens on different channels, I really enjoyed the upbeat music that was playing. The other nail techs were very friendly as well.
