I have had the privilege on trying their bacon, sausage, pork chops, lip balm, soaps, etc. Each product is well worth it from cost and love, commitment made to create the item. I especially love their uncured bacon! Known as a superfood- it really helped me recover from being sick lately giving me a boost of energy and what I needed! Highly recommend. The pork chops are the same. You cannot go wrong. You can also take farm tours and really learn about the intricacies of the business and the dedication required to make it sustainable. As a family, I commend their hard work and as a semi new farm, it is a gem in this area that needs more attention. A must see and try. I was hesitant to take the plunge due to the higher price of such products, but health reasons made me reconsider. I heard about Farmer Ben's and bought jjust a few items the first time (some hamburger, sausage, bacon and a couple steaks), and I was sold from thereon. The flavor, quality and freshness of the meat is unsurpassed. It's so worth the price to get such healthy, nutritious food. Their farm store sells other products as well (some excellent dairy and poultry products, plus grass-fed lamb from other farmers in the area). I hear this summer (2012) they are adding some farm grown veggies, too. Well worth the nice country drive to shop.

My most recent discovery in Langley is Heritage meats. I prefer to buy meat at a specialty shop, rather than a supermarket for freshness and quality. I confirmed their beef is grass fed raised up until the last stage of life and then fed oats, barley and rosemary to fatten them up. Which sounds cruel but at least they are given free range. Heritage meats reminds me of Bosa foods inside. They have son-in-law products in the freezer--artisan meat pies, Bison sausage etc.. The only downside to this shop is it's very pricey however that's that cost of good quality. They also have a little niche of local Fraser valley loose tea blends which look amazing.

However, my mother in law always grabs the back bacon from here which is less fattier and leaner than the conventional bacon that you would buy at supermarkets. It comes in vacuum sealed package as a solid piece and there's barely any fat/oil rendered when you fry up the bacon. It's definitely a treat for the weekend brunch at home. Try out their bacon if you're ever at Fraser Valley Meats!
