VERY best source in Langley for fine meats: grass fed; healthily raised & slaughtered; hung…read moreproperly. Great variety and unsurpassable quality! Add to this a really wonderful staff: helpful, knowledgable and it is easy to see why I have been shopping here for at least 20 years now; from before they moved to this site. There is also a large selection of frozen prepared meals - I could appreciate more that wasn't "gluten free" but I know this fad is very profitable. Lots of wonderful deli items balance this out - plus a fine small dairy section. So much more to explore and sample!

It's been transformative switching from a vegan plant based diet to animal protein lifestyle but…read moreit's forcing me to discover new local grocery stores. My most recent discovery in Langley is Heritage meats. I prefer to buy meat at a specialty shop, rather than a supermarket for freshness and quality. I confirmed their beef is grass fed raised up until the last stage of life and then fed oats, barley and rosemary to fatten them up. Which sounds cruel but at least they are given free range. Heritage meats reminds me of Bosa foods inside. They have son-in-law products in the freezer--artisan meat pies, Bison sausage etc.. The only downside to this shop is it's very pricey however that's that cost of good quality. They also have a little niche of local Fraser valley loose tea blends which look amazing.

About a year ago, I ordered about 10 pounds of ground beef. The woman behind the counter went…read morebehind the wall where the butcher was, and within two minutes, she came with a clear plastic bag of ground beef. That was way too fast. I grabbed it and paid for it. I never checked the meat. That was my mistake. I went home and started making patties, only to realize the meat was sticking to my hand! Weird! I smelled it, and it had a rottenwouldn't do any smell to it! Gross! I went back the same day and exposed the thing to the butcher. He flatly denied anything wrong with it and told me off. I tried to have my 75.00 dollars back, but he wouldn't do any of that. I walked away, leaving the meat behind and took the loss. That is when my friends who hunted told me that the place had become infamous for doing those shady mixes with God-knows-what. They all walked away from that pigsty.

I've been a happy customer for years but new owners have recently taken over. I purchased 3 pounds…read moreof frozen lean ground beef from them last week. Opened the package yesterday and the meat was covered inside and out with 1/4 inch diameter black spots. Returned it to them and they apologized profusely and gave me a larger package to take home. Opened it and instead of being red, the meat was dark brown but I decided to cook it anyway. The bottom of the frypan now has over a cup of water that they had added to increase the weight and and the cooked meat smelled bad. Another good business destroyed by greed.

I wanted sockeye salmon this year for the freezer. I like the idea of not having to wash cut and…read morewrap my own fish. I can guarantee you I clean them better then they would (only because I spend more time on them) and to cut them I prefer larger pieces for baking so that isn't a big deal. But it takes time to clean up the mess (not that bad) So I thought I'll get them from 1fish2fish. But when I seen they want 18.00 a pound I said no way. I can buy sockeye for 10.00 per lb. So they are saying they want 8.00 a lb for cutting and wrapping? Not from me they are getting this price. You know if you would have not got so greedy with your prices you would have alot more business. Or maybe you are and the people that are paying this price have too much money in there wallets :) Sorry to say until your prices come down I will not be a customer. I gave you are 2 star only because you product is good :) So if you don't mind the prices then go for it!

Our Yelp search led us to 1 Fish 2 Fish and now we order our Lobsters with them ever since. We eat Lobster 3 to 4 times a year for celebrations and have never been disappointed with the quality. Worth the 45 min drive one way across the border. Would recommend them in a heart beat to anyone looking for quality fresh seafood. Several cuts above anything that you'd at a regular market. The word is "fresh".
