Pre approval process is always hectic! My fiancé and I came back to golden empire mortgage for the second time to purchase our second home! The beginning always starts off slow but we had a strong finish! Our realtor Gaby recommended Thomas! He is amazing! He knows exactly what he's talking about and is such a please to work with! He is a real straight up and down to earth guy. My fiancé had a specific monthly payment in mind and Thomas knew exactly what price range we needed to shop for! I honestly don't know where to start! Eddy Lomelí and his team were so amazing! We first started back in May when my husband and I were trying to sell our home and purchase a new one so we called Eddy who was recommended to us. He's was so friendly and loved that he knew what he was talking about because this was so important to my husband and I. He ran everything and advised us to pay certain things off and to just wait a few months to run credit again and to move forward with a pre-approval and so we did. In between those months he was still checking on us and letting us know he's excited to work with us which was a big plus to me because it showed that he actually cared and that it wasn't just about the money. He could've easily made money on us when we first talked because we DID qualify but We wanted a lower interest rate and so that's why he advised us to wait to higher our credit just a bit. So we had finally gotten our pre approval and he showed us all of our options with what loans and programs we can do and not once he was pushy about anything He wanted us to chose comfortably and of course he told us what he recommended. We told him about our plan with what we wanted to pay a month, how much down we wanted to do, interest rate, etc. And he sure came through lol And let me TELL YOU how informative he is as well! I seriously have learned SO much about loans, escrow, buying points, what's good and not good, everything! You ask he will answer! And that's not that best part! The best part was that I had such a smooth escrow! Besides turning in your required stuff in the beginning of escrow I seriously did nothing after that lol a few papers here and there but nothing extreme. it was actually kind of weird (in a good way lol) they made it VERY STRESS FREE! they did everything for me and you gotta love his assistant Melanie! She was so sweet and quick with everything as well, very responsive with any question we had and was on it with anything she needed from my husbands employer, etc. And did I mention that We closed escrow in 25 DAYS!! I had a very positive experience working with Golden Empire Mortgage. Thomas was referred to me by a friend who also had good experiences. He was the first person I contacted (before contacting a relator) to look over my finances and help get into my home. There were times throughout the process that I was over ambitious on what I could afford, and Thomas was there to bring me back to earth and show me how I was pre-approved, and what my limits were. I took some time off for a couple of months, and when I jumped back in, the market had changed. Thomas and GEM were able to get me pre-approved and gave me tips on how I could improve my credit, and increase my buying power before purchase time. When I was looking at new builds, many of the builders required pre-approval with their own mortgage brokers. Needless to say, many of them were not as helpful, friendly, or knowledgeable as Thomas. I stuck with him and when I found a builder that would allow me to keep Thomas and GEM I put in the offer and began the buying process. I was eventually approved for my loan and things worked out well overall. The builder mentioned to me that they were also impressed with GEM.
