We found a highly-reviewed jeweler in a favourable location, however, it turned out to be a rather sketchy endeavour. I didn't feel comfortable giving them our business, so we jumped back on Google and found World Jewellery. World Jewellery is conveniently situated downtown, near Queen and Church. Co-owner, Floriss, and her colleague, Eddie, quickly assessed our situation with warmth and professionalism. They cleaned my ring, and we waited a short time (about 20 minutes - while kindly being offered cookies in the interim!) for the diamond-in-question to be replaced. My ring looks even better now than it did before! The fee for their service was totally reasonable, especially considering their unbelievably speedy turnaround. My fiancé and I are extremely impressed, and will happily recommend World Jewellery to others! Our trainer and owner Sara were absolutely amazing. They are patient and helpful to guide you each step to make the ring. I thought I will never finish, but with their guidance. My fiancée's ring came to a reality and he liked it! It was a very enjoyable workshop. I will recommend this to any couples who are going to get marry soon to consider making their own ring!

I learned so many skills, and i hope to take lost wax casting 2 next year. Meanwhile, I've been attending some open studio workshops, because I do not have a soldering station at home. Their prices for bench time are reasonable, and in open studio there is always a staff to guide you if you have forgotten how to do something that you had previously learned. They have a beautiful, airy space and are friendly and welcoming. The studio is cleanly set up, and not cluttery or crowded at all. This is a wonderful studio, and I recommend the Wedding Band workshop for everyone who is looking for that sort of thing.

The plan was to put in a new battery (for $50.85!) and go from there. Claude would text me when it was ready. Radio silence.. After 2 weeks I popped in, they hadn't changed the battery yet. Another 2 weeks passed.. no message. So I stopped by again. This time they did change the battery but Claude didn't communicate this to me. Since the new battery didn't fix the problem, they wanted their "expert" to look at it and give an estimate of the repair. As a result, they held onto my watch for another 2 additional months (!) without any communication. When I visited the store to check on the status, they couldn't give any update and promised it would be ready soon. When I had enough and asked for my watch back, they actually didn't know where it was! They sent me home again and Claude would call me the following day to give an update on where it was (you guessed it: he didn't.) When I came back again the next day, I was helped by Bernadette. Thank god she was able to help, locate my watch within a day, and actually call me with the news. That said, I will never come back here again!

We got engaged in December, and my fiancé worked with Aria to make sure the ring came out…read moreperfectly. The original ring was my grandmother's from the 1940s and passed down in my family. However, it was so heavily worn that it was completely unwearable and would most likely need to be melted down and rebuilt. My fiancé shopped around at a lot of jewellers, but everyone focused on the resale value and kept insisting on replacing the diamonds, not seeming to understand the sentimental value of the ring. Aria was the first jeweller who seemed more than happy to work with him to preserve the structure and meaning of the ring! They were also the only ones who weren't going to send the ring out - he wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be sent somewhere that he couldn't be sure what was happening. They were excellent with communication, even agreeing to only call during the hours that he knew I was at work, and were great at keeping him updated on the process. He had also brought in another family engagement ring with the intention of using the gold to help fill in the structural integrity of the other ring. Between using that gold, a bit of their own, and the remaining gold from my Grandmother's ring, they restored the ring to its original beauty without even needing to melt down the setting! The diamonds were removed and cleaned, and the original setting cleaned up, so now the ring shines in a way I've never seen. Additionally, they cut, cleaned, and saved the setting from the other engagement ring and turned it into a beautiful pendant that I'll be able to wear on our wedding day. It was all very reasonably priced, and I'm blown away with the final result. I love that they valued the ring as much as I did and truly understood the meaning behind this whole process. I can't recommend them enough! I'm hoping to go back to have my wedding band made soon! Thank you so much!

Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced…read more I brought a stone here that I bought overseas prior. Joe looked at it, first asked if it was glass, told me it was upside down in the case, and it was chipped.. we got it from a certified gemologist and are very happy with the stone despite his comments, and wanted it turned into a necklace. (Side note: My partner happened to show the stone to another jeweller at another place and he was RAVING about how beautiful it was). I asked the daughter for advice on colours of chains, she was rude and acted as though I was supposed to know already. Im no expert in jewelry (and I told her that), and thought the employees would be able to understand that and give me support. They suggested an 18" chain, i thought I wanted it shorter - I suggested 16" and Joe said it would "be strangling" me.. and I asked if I could see where an 18" pendant would fall on me with one of their pieces they had there- it was lower than I wanted so I pushed for the 16". I ended up leaving my gem with them to have a clasp sized out for my piece. I received a call when it was ready and they said we could just come in or make an appointment in case there was a queue. We went in without an appointment, there was a line which was fine of course. I asked the daughter about our gem and she said she'd get Sonja. 10 mins later, I asked how long it might be for Sonja, and she pointed at a women standing there and said I was after her (did not give any approximate time). While we waited we saw two couples come in and receive poor treatment/no help from the son who was working. Someone asked if the jewelry was exempt from HST (during the government pause on HST timeframe). The customer wasn't clear on what was exempt from HST, and the son reacted like he had been asked this 100 times even though this just started. It sounded like a verbal eye roll, where he was telling her luxury items didn't apply. She proceeded to leave and he then said, "a little lesson there for ya" which was SO rude. Sonja came down and admitted she wasn't familiar with my piece which was fine, but Joe was out and would be returning shortly with pictures of the clasps. I asked if he could just send the pictures to speed it up, and it seemed like a problem so we just waited. Joe sent Sonja the pictures of the clasp options (probably from the parking lot) and she started showing us, then Joe came in a few minutes later. The first thing he said was, "what, they don't like the pictures?" and it was weird. After the customer service continued to be weird with working out the pricing between Sonja and Joe, I decided I didn't want to do my business there. I ended up taking my stone back and will take it somewhere else. They could've made $750.00 in sales EASILY within the 45 minutes I was there, but they kept dropping the ball at every opportunity. There is no customer service or sales skills with a single employee here, I'm shocked they've been in business for so long. Sonja was the least bad of the family members. The prices seemed fair, but I value the customer service experience more than this. The store is shabby and outdated, there no music and it's incredibly awkward to be in, I would never go here again and am shocked by any positive review this place has received :/

Describing the design we wanted was difficult but consultant was able to figure out the style we wanted. It is time consuming because you have to go back to the studio multiple times to confirm the look. And everything costs money, ie design sketches, consulting, and so on and such. So it is better to get it over with asap even though it may not be what you pictured in your head. Though we think we spent a bit much we are very happy with the rings as we own unique rings that no one else has. Jewelries from random brands are sold at the store too if you just want to walk in and buy them.
