The staff are nice and friendly and experienced, What I liked was that she did talk to me a little especially in the beginning, but she was quiet for 99% of the time and let me relax (which is not what you experience in some other places even expensive luxury spas). I booked for another facial right after the one I got because of the great experience I had, my skin is so soft and fresh now (I went today for my facial). The products WERE scented I have a very sensitive nose and I could definitely tell you that they were scented. I've been there a few times using groupons. I think it's good depending what you are looking for. The message was deeper than most of the other spas but I liked it. Extractions were painful but she did find everything on my face. It also lasted for a few days. Sometimes they left the mask longer, I think coz they were busy with other clients. It was a 4-star coz it really which lady you've got. There is a lack of consistence. It was okay for me depending which esthetician you had. My first time was bad. She was rude and trying to ask me if I want to pay more for upgrades. I thought I wouldn't go back to use my second groupon. When I go back, that esthetician was good. She didn't charge me extras for the "upgrades" and that's why I tipped more. I agreed with others that they are not using good mask and facial products and with no scent. read more

I had a Groupon for a 90 minute aromatherapy facial and 30 minute relaxation massage. The massage was just the upper body but it was excellent. The lady was thorough, deft, and gentle when she sensed she was near a sore spot. I also felt like she actively worked on releasing the tension spots when she came across them. I've had a persistent pain in my hip for days and it is now completely gone thanks to some work she did on my neck oddly enough. The facial wasn't aromatic at all but it was very thorough. The extractions were the most painful aspect of a facial I've ever had anywhere, but I really felt she cleaned my pores well. My nose was quite red afterwards, but that has faded overnight. The pain of the extractions undid the relaxation of the body massage but then she did a shoulder, face, and neck massage afterwards which helped me relax again. This facial was the most inclusive package I've ever had. It was very thorough and she explained each step as she went which is helpful to a spa noob like me. She did try to offer me a collagen upgrade for some wrinkles I apparently have, but I declined. So far this is the best spa experience I've ever had. I would definitely go back again for the massage but maybe do the facial only once a month. I'm a big baby about the pain. ;) I only give it four stars because the ambient music and decor could use some updating. The spa is clean, no concern there. read more

Bought a Teambuy voucher $79 for 30 mins massage and Vitamin C facial. Place is clean and ok, but don't expect spa like environment. Esthetician was good, and experienced. Massage was decent, but shorter than 30 mins. I can tell that they didn't use good facial products, as I go for regular facial at least once every 3 weeks. Also don't expect any aromatherapy, oil and facail products have no scent. Skin doesn't feel nice or soft after treatment. Though they always stated they won't cheap out on products because of the deal, but I tell you, they do. It definitely didn't worth the stated package price of $224. Will not go again. read more

You have to ring the door bell to be buzzed in because they have no receptionist. The waiting room was small but very nice and elegant with embroidered pillows and magazines to flip through. My visit started with the massage which was incredibly painful! I told her but she didn't relent. My muscles still hurt for the next few days. The facial was much better however, very nice and relaxing (well, except for the extractions which were painful, but less painful than her massage). I don't get the aromatherapy part of the name-- there were no scents that I could detect. Anyway, she cleansed, exfoliated, toned, extracted, and left a mask on for quite a long time-- I think I dozed off a couple of times. It was very nice and relaxing. I added diamond microdermabrasion for an extra $20 and that was fun too. I wouldn't recommend a massage to anyone but their facials are worth trying out! I came using groupon and had waxing done. I was impressed with the kind, warm and accommodating service I received, but not completely happy with the waxing itself. For example, when waxing, the lady did not pull my skin taught to reduce pain. She also pulled the sheet UP at a 90 degree angle, instead of up close to the skin (almost 180 degrees). This added to the pain of the experience (pain is normal, but measures can be taken to reduce it!). However, for the price and with the discount, it's okay. You get what you pay for. I wouldn't come here again, but for what it was worth I was happy. read more

I have to agree with the waxing review. It's very painful and doesn't know how to pull skin to reduce pain. Also since I didn't have a brazilian so I had patch of hair so I checked and she didn't clean the wax off properly. I had some wax and some of my hair was still stuck together. I go to this spa regularly for facials, and love what Josephine does to my skin. every time after the facial my friends compliment me about my skin and the glow. The extractions are painful as any other facial, but after that it's all relaxation and beautification. My skin is super sensitive so I have a few red spots for a day or two after the facial due to extractions, but they fade out pretty quick. read more

DO NOT GET A SHELLAC MANICURE HERE!!! I was about to visit home (Australia) for three weeks and wanted to look nice and presentable to my family so went to get my nails done. I chose Gemini because it is close to home and had a special on for $25 for a Shellac manicure (Shellac is a gel polish that doesn't damage your nail like acrylic, but still lasts for 2 weeks without chipping or peeling! It's absolutely fantastic!). The day before my departure, I went in and had my nails done, as I have many times before at other nail & beauty places, and all seemed good and well. My nails looked fantastic (although I was unsure about them using a different top coat to the one they are supposed to. They used an OPI gel topcoat in stead of the Shellac top coat) but I didn't say anything assuming they knew what they were doing and went home. That night, my nail polish started peeling off (even my 6 months working at a spa I had never seen this happen with such a good product!) so the next day phoned and they told me to come in and have them redone, Great! So with my suitcase in hand (on my way to the airport obviously) I turned up and had the FIVE nails that were peeling, redone. Then made my way to the airport and all seemed good and well once again. another 24 hours later and the 5 nails that hadn't been redone had stared peeling off too! "You've got to be kidding me!" was all I could think! So by the time I made it to my family, my nails were half peeling off and looked horrible! I took some photos and made my boyfriend (who was still here in Canada) go in and tell them about it! They told me to go back in when I returned. Three weeks later, I arrived back and made my way back to Gemini and asked for a refund. If they can't get it right the first 2 times, when will they?!?! The girl who did my nails told me that the manager was not available and also said that if I did get a refund it would be for the price I paid, minus the price of a regular manicure. Excuse me?! Her reasoning being that I still got my manicure, just the nail polish was wrong. Anyone that has had Shellac before will know that you need acetone to remove it, which I obviously did not have in my suitcase, so I had to walk around for 2 weeks with half my nails done! What a joke!!! (You can't peel it off without damaging the top layer of your nails.) and I explained that I would have happily paid $5 more somewhere else to have the job done properly and have it last for majority of my trip! I left my contact number and was told that the manager would phone me the very next day. Four days later and still waiting!!! Maybe it had something to do with the fact that they used the cheaper OPI top coat instead of the proper Shellac top coat, but I would never go here again!!! But I will continue the endeavour to get my money back as I simply can't stand to be ripped off! (Especially when I left a 20% cash tip on top of my debit payment which I obviously wouldn't even ask for back, the lady still gets that even if I do get my refund!) Extreme False Advertising! I bought a $70 package from a canvasser which was supposed to include a mani, pedi, massage and facial. When I went in to redeem the mani, the woman told me that it doesn't include nail polish OR cuticle work. She wanted to charge me $7 additional for EACH service. My boyfriend and I went for a 15 minute massage and full pedicure. The ladies were nice, but spoke their own language most of the time amongst each other. The pedicure was detailed in that callouses were fully removed and the skin around the nails were cleaned and trimmed properly. I didn't enjoy the facial here at all. I've experienced many facials and this was the worst I have had. I bought a Groupon for a 90 min facial and massage. The esthetician tried to sell me an upgrade for an extra $25, which I refused. The lotions and masks did not smell good, very chemically, and they don't tell you what's in them. When I got home I had to shower right away to try and remove the smell. The extractions were well done and the back and arm massage was good, but the face and head massage were painful. I bought a groupon for this place over two years ago and still go back regularly for facials. I suffer from acne and the deep pore cleanse they offer is the only way of managing breakouts for me. After the extraction I always get a relaxing facial, which I feel wonderful after. I always ask for Sara who is very experienced and always such a pleasure to deal with.
