Janelle at the desk was rude and Angie the office major cut me off and shouted at me when I was questioning a bill she was so unprofessional, Rick in the optical department was wonderful and extremely helpful, if I do go back it's because of a Rick. I got an exam for contacts and frames here and while unfortunately an Optometrist had left that took my insurance between the time of scheduling and appointment, the owner personally handled my case and gave me a fair deal. I purchased frames and contacts and they are perfect and by far much better than my last pair. I'm happy with both service and products.

He waited on me personally. I handed him my insurance card and a post-it with the model number of frames I wanted. I had already checked pricing at LensesRX online for the same frame and was quoted $535 for the complete set of glasses I wantd WITHOUT using any vision insurance. He came back with $689 written on a piece of paper for just the frames. Then he said to add $180 for lenses and other upcharges could go up to $100. So I was looking at $989. I told him I never paid that much with insurance at Gemini for Caviar frames and told him about my quote at LensesRX.com. He said well let me see if I can do better. He walked back to his computer and asked me my date of birth (He was actually looking up my insurance this time). He then show me a scribbled piece of scrap paper that said my frames would be $689 minus $150 that my insurance covered and that my lenses would now be the $20 copay (instead of the $180) he quoted. So now my total price was $559. I asked him for details of what type of lenses etc. and he just told me it would be a nice lense. I pressed on and said anywhere else I have received a quote for glasses would provide me with a detail of what I was getting and how much insurance was covering. He just looked at me and handed me the scrap piece of paper with nothing but numbers written on it. I asked him why I would pay him MORE for the same glasses using my insurance than I could pay LensesRX less for NOT using my insurance. He just stood there blankly and stared at me, handed me my insurance card back and I walked out. This is already a lengthy review so I will wrap it up but the place has a sketchy feeling and now I know why. My gut told me no, but I really wanted those frames. Since I have ordered the frames online for $300, and Walmart is going to put my new lenses in for the $20 copay using my insurance. This man is not here to make new customers or help the general public, he is here to make a buck. I can't even imagine how many families he has taken advantage of over the years. He is not listed on Caviar Frames website as an a authorized dealer so I can only imagine how he is getting their frames. I could tell he was clearly not used to anyone standing up to him and asking him to answer questions honestly. I am sorry I wasted my time and would never recommend this place to anyone!
