They didn't call me or the police the day it happened and they didn't mention it when I was paying/picking up my car. They were very rude and refused to give me their insurance information. The officer that came to look at my car told me there was no damage anywhere where someone would have broken in so they had the key or the mechanic left it unlocked.

He offered a ride (no place to rent a car in Pendleton and no public transportation anywhere else!) to Hermiston and offered to send my personal belongings home to me once it was determined my vehicle was to be totaled and then stored (there was too much to send) until I was able to pick up. Now what could be better than that? I overhead him on the phone to others. Very gracious to all even though he was short handed and exceedingly busy.

Yes, that is exactly what happened to us on December 21, 2016, while driving from Boise, Idaho, to Spokane, WA. But even with this cloud of doom hanging over our car, a silver lining in the form of J & B Automotive, appeared. Our engine problem struck as we were traveling through Pendleton. As it was about 8:00 pm, we didn't have any option but to spend the night and pray that we could find a repair shop in the morning who had time for us. The receptionist at the Holiday Inn Express was very helpful and gave us 4 reputable auto repair shop names/phone numbers. I asked her which was the best and she said they were all good but J & B the closest. I did some research and decided to call J & B first thing in the morning. At 7 am, I called J & B and, after hearing about our vehicle problems, they said to come on down. Fortunately, the car did start and I crept it a mile or so down the road to J & B. My first impression was great. The attendant (owner?) was very friendly and said he would get his staff working on it as soon as they arrived. Soon we learned that it was a combination of a faulty alternator, a leaky water pump and a worn belt. The mechanics got right on it and the only delays were waiting for the parts which was only a slight delay considering where we were and where one of the parts was located. When presented with the bill, I was happy that I wasn't gouged. Yes, the parts were expensive but J & B did not take advantage of a traveling motorist and gouge me on labor. I was very pleased with the friendliness and service provided by J & B. It was also very consistent with what one local customer told me.... She said J & B was the best in Pendleton, Oregon. In consideration of what I experienced, I would have to agree with the local's opinion. Of special note, J & B advertises that they give free tows to broken down motorists. I did not use this service so I don't know what the requirements are but it is certainly worth the call to ask if you happen to be in a bind. Thanks again for your help, J & B Automotive. We made it safely to our destination and had a great holiday.

The packers came in and did a good job. The next day, the driver comes with one guy to move the contents out of a 3,000 sq, ft. house. We needed to be out by the next day. The new owners were moving in. I understand everyone was moving and they were short of help. The driver have a bad attitude. He was reluctant to cover the stairs and doors. The furniture was carried without being covered. One of my chairs sat in the sun for hours. Well, the next day, he still came back with one helper. We complain and said, we need to be out today. Finally, a few guys show up. Our staircase, got damaged, and the driver said, we didn't do it. Now, we weren't told our belonging would be going into storage. That means everything was taken out and reloaded. Some stuff got ruin due to the extreme heat. We finally got our belonging about 3 wks later. The movers show up about 3:00pm to unload. Again, they didn't put anything to protect the doors, floors. or furniture. After I said, aren't you putting blankets over the floors and floors. They did, kind of. My hardwood floors got scratched up, by dragging the boxes and furniture. Things were damaged. They finally finished at 11:00 pm. Since I couldn't get anyone to give us an estimate for the damaged floors, that expense will be ours. The first time. United moved us was disaster too. This time it was a nightmare. I do not recommend this company. Maybe, moves around town, but not for long distance. So very disappointing.

Very poor quality materials. Security gates have been nothing but trouble. Had to call for repairs…read moreseveral times. They did NOT use any lock washers on Any of the rollers of gates. Nuts keep falling off and gates fall off. Marcus came out to rebels the gates that fell apart. But refused to put lock washers on and now REFUSES to answer calls to them. Wasted $5000.00. I counted the next day and notifed them as i picked them up close to closing time and bring rushed out so the salesman could get to the bank. Fast forward a month later the salesman i discussed with was out for 2 weeks... prior to his leaving he said he would take care of this. Now the owner says i signed for 34 and i cant get my money back even though i notified them the next day there was no record of that call to the salesman, even though the salesman backs this up... They came here with masks on their faces and smiles in their eyes. From the Owner to the Apprentice they were so personable! They made every task seem simple and important. We had a very clogged drainage system pretty much everything was clogged up and slow moving. They installed a new water heater in a new location. Installed a new toilet that has the multi flushing depending on what your flushing. Installed a new faucet and changed the piping to be easier to drain. They cared about the new equipment they were installing to the point that John was going to go back to the office to get a different faucet, because the piping came out of the box a little kinked. I asked him if it would have any affect on the usage. He said no that it just wouldn't look as nice. I had to convince him that it was going to be under the sink so I was okay with it being a little kinked.
