After tech leaves nothing changed except loosing $345. Had to call them back after unit froze up again the next day. So that time a few days later, a different guy came by request and performed a correct diagnosis but asked for another diagnostics fee with a quote for a return appointment and repair with parts needed to fix it. The quote was $526. See the problem here? That's a total of almost $900 to fix a simple issue that is very common. I told the "technician" thanks but now I have to talk to my wife about it (I already knew what I was going to do at that point). The tech asked for another diagnostics fee and I declined saying we already paid for that. Anyways I ordered the parts online and fixed it myself for $36 via EBay, internet research and YouTube

My air conditioning system just started not working properly (would not blow out cool air and on a…read morereally hot day) and I called Bruce Heating and Air Conditioning in Hermiston. Note: they had not installed this particular unit, but were willing to do the repair. They also were able to send a Tech over the same afternoon all the way to the Heppner area (Reynaldo R--a senior maintenance technician). After performing a leak check he identified the problem in the outside unit--was a leaking refrigerant from a copper tube connection inside the main housing. Reynaldo was extremely professional in his repair and also had provided me a verbal estimate of potential costs. It was not cheap as it took him nearly 4 hours to complete the difficult task of trying to weld the small leak on a copper tube line--problem solved in 1 day. In the end, I have been and will continue to be a very satisfied customer with this Company. Thanks Bruce for the very quick response and professional service--Reynaldo is an outstanding employee!

The return air in the master is not cut in... in a year I haven't needed to change the filter... sooo... it's still brand new. The unit is trash for heating in the 15-20f range.. i got an awesome $900 power bill because they didn't cut in the secondary return... as the main return plugged and tripped on high pressure.. heat strips are great. Except the one that melted.. I've called about the entire system for a year... no response besides the obligatory 1 year maint... I contacted Doua the designer installer sales guy... for a quote for just changing out the new unit to a gas unit. He quotes me 10k for just a unit... then never responds to emails.. nor does anyone else. He gave us several different roof options to chose from. We decided to have them install a Ownes Corning Wood Crest 50 year, 130 MPH rated roof, and three new skylights. The work the crew did was top notch. I could tell that the crew was well trained and experienced.
