Be careful. I recently bought 5 different props. Used 3 of them, two of which were perfect for my boat. 2 of the props were unused, and still in the unopened box. However, the prop was shipped and delivered to me 31 days ago. Since their return policy is 30 days, I was told that they would not accept a return because they already have enough of that particular prop in stock. After explaining that I have purchased several props from them, the one I wanted to return was one day beyond the return policy, and I felt it was bad business, the salesperson hung up on me. If you shop around, you'll find many prop dealers with much more lenient return policies. I guess I won't be buying any more props from General Propeller. Bad Business sense. read more

1st class operation & customer service! Professional, knowledgable and honest service. (something that is at times very hard to find in the marine industry) The propeller repair and shaft work I needed was completed quickly and were of the highest quality. The staff that helped me were very friendly! Had trouble getting good cruising speed at a good RPM to get the most effeminacy out of my engine. The crew at General Propeller had some suggestions for me to try out and boy did they nail it. My boat now is running better than ever. read more

The shop can be kinda of hard to find but don't worry they have a big sign out front. Once your inside its a small show room and tiny parts counter. I was looking forward to buying a good prop for a boat that just wont get on plane. I had many people tell me this place was very friendly and courteous. My experience was just about the same with the exception of closing time. I was there a half hour before close so i don't understand why such the rush. They made a recommendation but it was so rushed and they guy seem to think it would work but i couldn't afford to buy something on just a seem to be. I came here because they were recommended to be on top of what they know. Either way it may of been just a bad day and the guy had lots of closing duty's but i just don't feel i got the knowledge i should have. I might possibly give them another try but only time will tell. read more

I took my three blade prop to General Propeller for reconditioning and repitching. The office is very busy and may not answer your call, but they will call back if requested. The staff is very helpful and we're able to give me valuable advice on a possible pitch change. I took that advice and was very happy with results. The turnaround time was very good, one and a half days for me. Their prices are reasonable. They will pick up and deliver at several places in Charlotte county. I had General rework my 4 blade nibral inboard props. The props had some deep pitting around the hub that had to be welded. Received both props back and they looked great. in less than 2 yrs had boat pulled to paint bottom and welds for pitting had come out. Was told by another prop shop that the welder used a bronze welding rod instead of nibral. Would not recommend this company after my experience. read more

Happy Canadian Customer! I bent my Volvo SX prop on a sandbar and couldn't find a replacement anywhere. I found General Propeller online & based on the reviews tried them. I thought I was ordering an aftermarket prop as no one had OEM's & received a call from GP stating the prop was hard to source & asking would I mind waiting an extra 3 days; no problem. This morning my prop was delivered. I opened the box to find a brand new OEM Volvo prop! Happy happy happy & actually let out a woohoo! It cost me a fortune in duties & taxes (so much for free trade) but that has nothing to do with the fine folks & great customer service at General Propeller. Many thanks, made my day. read more

We called to get an update on the status of the work we asked them to do, spoke to Pablo who refused to give an update. When he was pushed to provide an update, he stated he didn't like the way we were talking to him (voices were not raised we just wanted to know why he wouldn't give an update). Called back the following day and now they are refusing to do the work ...... and they still have our equipment. Not sure why Pablo was so rude or if that's the behavior General Prop allows - don't recommend this place. read more
