How I Wasted $1500 at Gulf Coast Power in Palmetto Fl.- Please Read Before You Go…read moreWe bought a new alternator at NAPA for our Mercedes 24' RV while traveling in Florida. Hunter from Gulf Coast Power was in the NAPA store and said "give us a call, this is what we do" so we followed him to his shop in Palmetto, FL. At his shop he said my transmission was leaking real bad and needed a new gasket. I have NEVER had a transmission leak before - no drips, no spots. There were 3 mechanics working on this, they pulled the pan and said nothing about stripped bolts while taking it off. He never said it was leaking because of 2 stripped bolts till after he put the new gasket on and put the pan back in. He said alternator was just a loose wire, I chose not to install the new one. I bought new belts that were never changed even though I was charged labor. Next morning: puddle of fluid under RV. While driving, I noticed white smoke billowing out the back. After a Google search of my VIN #, I found out they had put 9 quarts of the WRONG trans fluid in a 4-5 quart transmission. Because I was stranded, I paid them $262 more to come out and put the right fluid in and fix the 2 stripped bolts. Next morning after 30 miles I stopped to check the trans fluid. The filler cap was missing and trans fluid was all over my engine. Had to drive 40 mph 100 miles home. I PAID them almost $1500.00, belts not changed, alternator soaked and dead, missing cap, campground cleanup fee, and now another shop has to fix it. I arrived with no leak, just a loose wire on the alternator. I left needing more than I could imagine all because of the wrong fluid. BUYER BEWARE / TRAVELER BEWARE

Absolutely could never recommend this place. Here's your 5 star review Joe, minus 4 stars. 0 if I…read morecould. You are not a man of your word. Before doing business here, we heard several negative things about this dealership from other people. However, we believe in giving people a fair chance instead of judging them based on someone else's experience. Unfortunately, giving them that chance ended up biting us. We put down a $1,000 deposit on a boat. Lots of back & forth trying to find the perfect one. Christian & Joe said they understood. We were specifically told that our deposit would hold the boat while we completed a sea trial and had an independent inspection performed before signing the final paperwork. That gave us the confidence to move forward, knowing we had the opportunity to make sure the boat was everything it was represented to be. We went to the dealership on Thursday evening fully intending to sign. We arrived around 5:30 but because they were closing at 6:00 and we had our three children with us, we were told it was fine to come back on Saturday to finish the paperwork. In fact, Christian said that would work great for him. BUT Before leaving, the sales manager, Joe, looked us in the eye and assured us the boat would not be sold and that it would be waiting for us when we returned. Instead, on Saturday morning, we received a phone call telling us they had already sold the boat to someone else. For us, this wasn't just about losing the boat, it was about integrity. We believe a person's word means something, especially after accepting a customer's deposit, telling us it would hold the boat while we completed the agreed-upon sea trial and inspection, and then personally assuring us the boat would still be there. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and personable while we were in the showroom. But once another opportunity to make a sale came along, it became clear to us that keeping their word wasn't a priority. We left feeling that the friendly service was more about closing a deal than standing behind the commitments they made. If they couldn't hold the boat, they should have been honest and told us that from the beginning instead of making promises they weren't willing to keep. So your deposit doesn't mean anything. Take it from us. Needless to say, we'll be taking our business elsewhere.

I recently bought a pontoon boat and was looking for a facility that would do some bottom painting and an annual service. After reaching out to several other locations without a blip of response after leaving voicemails. With 1 call to Snook Bight they turned me on to Viage. Called Viage and literally within 10 min. I get a call back. From that moment on can I tell you the process of getting the work done was as seamless as you could want. Derek communicated the cost, time table and process clearly and did the job! How wonderful is that!!! If you've been having troubles finding an organization that's responsive to your needs look no further and give Derek and the team at Viage a call. You be glad you did! Thank you!!!

I bought a new Scout 215 XSF from Viage in 2021 and have been extremely pleased with the service since the day I started looking at this boat. There were some initial prop issues with the Yamaha engine, and a windshield issue with Scout, and Viage went to bat for me with both companies. Bought the boat from Clark at Viage St. Pete, FL, which was a very pleasurable experience, and the service from Derek at Viage Sarasota, FL was, and continues to be unbelievable. He is responsive, knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating. If you are going to shop and/or buy a boat, Viage is the place to start, and their follow up service is like nothing i have seen in the industry. I spend half the year with my boat in New England, and the service, attitude, and knowledge of Viage in Sarasota puts NE to shame. Thanks Viage....and Derek and Clark
