iCUBE was overall a very bad experience…read more I enrolled my son and daughter for both reading and math. Reading was a total waste. They focused on grammar (collective nouns, verb tenses, etc); these were things that were not even on the curriculum. Time could have been spend on reading comprehension as well as essay writing. My daughter in middle school was mainly quizzed on SAT/ACT words. Math was much better, but not good enough. Binders were given to do work in, and my daughter claims they didn't give checkpoints or due dates, leaving her very behind. She admitted zoning out more than once, and found in difficult to find motivation for doing her work. With checkpoints and such, she would have at least been pushed to finish. The teachers explained things okay, but they preferred helping you with their activities over the homework that you were struggling with. Last, but not least, my biggest pet peeve was the newsletters and spam. Every week, they would send us a letter, but the thing was, it was filled with grammar mistakes. Yikes. This program was supposed to help my children with reading, but basic capitalization rules and structure was ignored by the owner. In general, the program was very expensive and unnecessary. My children's grades slightly plummeted. I would advise the staff to rework their curriculum and offer different types of classes, depending on what you're working on school. For example, you could pick geometry for math and ACT/SAT material for reading.

Well, Challenger does a FANTASTIC job of connecting those subjects to a space mission. Mission leaders and the entire staff are engaging and do a great job in making science come alive to not only educate young minds but inspire young minds! My children were constantly sick, it was disorganized, they couldn't follow directions about my children. My son was bitten and NO ONE told me about it until I asked what happened. Also, the camera system network was overloaded and had serious blind spots that the teachers would hang out in. Even though we are no longer with them I can still access it which says a lot about their security. I probably would have just parted ways and quietly went on our way, my son did learn some things there and did make some friends. However, they informed me two weeks after we left and over two months after the fact that I had missed a payment. The owner refused to return any phone calls to my husband on the matter and they sent it to collections adding over $100 in additional fees to the original balance. After I found the receipt for the week in question they supposedly rectified it with the collection people however they had previously told my husband they couldn't do anything about it once it was in collections. So we can just add lying and misdirection to the heap. No one has offered an apology and instead of addressing my complaints they just deleted my review on Facebook. Both of which would have gone a long way in rectifying this situation and leaving my husband and I with a more complacent view of them.
