It was extremely hot out. So when the man had changed out the tires for me I told him to just put the flat and cover in the trunk. I told him it's to hot out and when I get the flat fixed I will have them put the cover back on, not to worry. Well was informed by the garage that fixed my flat, they cannot put the cover back as it was damaged. The zipper area was ripped out of the cover liner. Now I cannot put it back on. Called Deans explained what happened. Was asked what year my car was. Told him, 2010. He said it was probably just dried out from the sun after so many years. (I don't care how old it was, you damaged it.) I stated now anyone can walk up with a lug wrench and just grab the tire. He stated they can do that with the cover on. I get that but it wouldn't as easy. Not to mention the bolts will now be exposed the weather, you know, rain, snow the things that rust out metal. I have contacted my Ins to inform them that damage was done by Deans, and they will not make it right. Maybe Deans should be taken off their list.

Because there was cars in the ditch everywhere so that list was loooooong. Obviously, their priority was the real emergencies where people had been injured, or in danger of freezing to death. I was warm and dry, and was waiting at a temporary shelter that Sibley County had set up and transported me to. Because of the long wait, the wife of the owner used her personal vehicle and drove me a couple dozen miles to take care of my business and back to the shelter while waiting. By the time my turn came up, Erick and Haley had been working around the clock, but, still cheerful as could be, My truck had been sitting out in the open with 70 mph winds that had fully packed my engine compartment with snow. So with a discharged battery and frozen starter, they brought my truck back to their shop to let it thaw, While thawing, they fed me, and managed to join their family for a very much abridged Christmas eve dinner. Before I was thawed and underway, they were back in the back in the truck on Christmas eve taking care of more folks like me.
