Dr Williams is a very sharp and insightful psychiatrist. He taught me a lot and my skill set grew. He gave me an opportunity as a psychiatry PA and I'll never forget that. Dr. Williams also took money from me. Dr. Williams fired me for speaking out about my compensation. You have to understand that many medical clinicians, eg. PA's, NP's get paid on a percentage basis for services rendered. Ours was only 30 % but we agreed on that rate. Money is also collected over many months. In other words, you may see a patient on 7/3/21 and not receive payment until 3/3/22. That's how it goes. Dr. Williams gave me a departing check of $10 K for services the that month and the prior month. He did this so I would happily go away. And I did for awhile until I got a little smarter. I spoke to an individual in his billing department awhile back and based upon her reports, I am owed at least another 15 K for payments received over a 12 month duration for Andrew Pratt, PA-C services. Not Dr Ted William's services. He took that money. I actually do exceptionally well in private practice and long term care in Austin, TX. I'm truly blessed. I want him to pay me not because i need the money but because it's the right thing to do and I rightfully earned it. And as a "Christian Man" he knows it. Was recommend here by my personal doctor and my partner. Just would be nice if the appointment they had was within the next month. They said they don't have an opening for the next month and a half. Not to mention they took a week to reach out about scheduling the appointment. Just seems like an unprofessional organization. How should I trust a place that can't schedule me? I'm a little baffled by some of the negative reviews because my experience at this office has been amazing, ever since they moved to the new location near the Dominion. Before that, when they were on Donella, I couldn't say it was universally great. The practice is very very popular, and thus it is sometimes hard to get an appointment, but when I've stated clearly, politely that I cannot wait (however long it is, but need to be seen within a few weeks) because it is a crisis, they've helped me. And I make the appointment for the next visit when I leave the last one. Otherwise, it can be hard to schedule or reschedule so I do have to prioritize the appointments and try to make them. The office staff is incredibly polite and helpful; this isn't true at most mental health facilities who automatically treat you like you have mental health problems!! When I was paying out of pocket, it was no where near the $511 someone quoted for a prescription refill. Often, it isn't the provider's demand to have an every three month visit for refills-at least if you are talking about controlled substances-it is state regulations. Yes, the counselors are generally Christians, but by no means is it always a faith based thing. They sort of wait and see if you bring it up, and then if your spirituality is important, they are fluent in Christianity. Dr. Williams is incredibly knowledgeable about medications. Genesis was initially helpful when they prescribed medication to help regulate my sleep. However, when it was time for a refill of the controlled substance, I was required to schedule an "in office" visit. Disappointingly, the next available appointment was two months away. Despite being promised a prompt callback to address my urgent need for the prescription, I waited three days without any response. This lack of empathy, communication and support was very frustrating. The staff provide no guidance and appear to be more concerned about filling out portal information and collecting payments than a patient's needs. If Genesis would like to contact me, they are more than welcome. I began seeing Rosalia carraso at this office in 2020. Each appt has been in zoom and I've never even been to the office. I've paid my $50 co pay ever since I started being seen here. For the past 4 visits I've been told I have a balance even though I know I've been paying my co pay every time. I have my appointment and am told they will look into why I have a balance bc I am tired of being told I have an over $200 balance on my account and that I won't be seen unless I pay it Every visit for the past 4 or 5 visits I'm told it will be looked into and explained. I get a call yesterday, 1 DAY BEFORE MY NEXT APPT. and am told again that I have a balance and this time I won't be seen UNLESS I pay it. I was basically being spoke to like I had done something wrong. No explanation, nothing. I asked Lauren to please get this figured out because I have done nothing wrong to be told the day before my appt that I won't be seen unless I pay and I've asked multiple times to analees to get this cleared up. She assured me my appt wouldn't be canceled for the next morning as threatened in their voice mail the previous day. I get another voice mail yesterday that the billing manager would be available for me to speak to tmw after 11 when he gets in. I was told yesterday that I would have my appt this am and then I'd be able to speak with billing to clear this up and them explain why they think I have a balance. I call in to the office this morning to have my appointment only to be told that my appointment was cancelled by not only the office but by my provider of psychiatry Rosalia bc of the balance due. So now I am missing my appointment, which by the way is billed at $511 for a 30 minute call to basically give me a refill on my rx. $511? To talk to me and refill a rx? Does anyone else think this is unethical? This office is inept when it comes to patient care, billing and ensuring patients are treated with dignity and respect. I hope they realize canceling someone's appointment because they are assuming I'm not paying my debt, which is completely untrue is absolutely the most unprofessional and rude thing a doctors office can do. Anyone considering this place should know that should the office want to cancel your appointment due to their own misunderstanding you will have zero recourse and they really don't care about you as a valued patient. They do not value you and your decision to choose them over the gazillion others who are available to see you. I called my insurance today only to realize after paying $50 co pays y his office requires I pay an additional $165.91 for a 30 minute visit to update rx. Forgot to add a crucial detail: this is a Christian, faith-based organization. They do not tell you this. I found out because they were hawking Bible calendars in the waiting room. This treatment (TMS) and Genesis Behavioral Health are just a scam. I have major depressive disorder and it did nothing to treat it. I had treatment months ago and I've never once felt any different. They try to charge you as much as possible by having you go to follow-ups that consist of three questions and are five minutes long but cost a hefty co-pay. The counselors/administrators don't know what they're doing. They're bad with the machines, often guessing on what to calibrate their settings to - every day I went in the levels were completely random despite them claiming to have written it down - and I am not confident I even got proper treatment. They are also not good at counseling, not good at building rapport, and will lie to clients to give them false hope. They will be withholding and cruel if you don't act the way they want you to, and you're not even with the same counselor every day. This makes it so you can't build up a proper rapport or actually deal with your problems during the talk therapy they love to boast about giving during the treatment. I am more depressed and suicidal now than I ever was before this treatment, all it did was cost me a load of money and time. Their only recommendation to me after things didn't work was to go live full-time at a treatment center for a year. This business and their treatments are a joke, I wouldn't waste your time. Just another set of ghouls here to capitalize on mental illness. Also, Jordan is particularly bad at his job, inappropriate with how he discusses religion, and should not be working there. Jordan made multiple promises to me to continue therapy with me once treatment ended and did not follow through on a single one of them. No calls, no anything. He shouldn't be treating mentally ill people. read more

I have treatment resistent major depression and am on a medication regimen which scares most doctors, but Dr. Williams is the only one that is able to manage me. His treatment entails the mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing of his patients. Sometimes there is a wait, but it is worth it, because he never rushes my visit. His staff are very friendly and helpful. I have been a patient of Dr. Williams for 5 1/2 years and am thankful that I found him. read more

I used to go to Genesis back in 2015 and had a horrible experience with a very disorganized staff. However, I came back again in 2018 and have had nothing but a good experience since then. The practice manager has personally called to check in on me when I wasn't doing well, and my PA Gary Dunham has been so helpful and willing to listen to my concerns any time I've had them. I don't know what changed here in the last few years, but I think it's become a great facility. read more

I have been seeing a doctor (name not mentioned) at this practice, we specified that coming off the Citalopram for anxiety after being on it for 9 years. I have been faxed off over the course of a month and am experiencing very bad headaches and some dizziness. I have checked other resources in chides "mental health" publications and pharmacists who tel me that my head a head and dizziness are common side effects and will subside in time. When I questioned the doctor about it he gave a basic CYA answer saying he can neither confirm or deny it may be related to the withdrawals symptoms. I am also going to canceling at this Practice too bad and there is no apparent collaboration between the counselor and the doctor. The counselor I likes lot. I will be finding a new psychiatrist in the future. I hope my experiences aide you indetermining what course of action is best for you. read more

Definitely go here if you have no mental instabilities or psychiatric issues-because they will treat you unprofessionally, and jack you around within an inch of your sanity. It's too much for a well-adjusted person-let alone people with the conditions they are "treating." I have seen 5 different psychologists in 2 years because they keep leaving. (There's your first clue!) The office staff is also in constant rotation and un-trained. Lack of training doesn't dismiss the extreme I professionalism that must be mandatory to work here. Any mistakes they make (which are common), are never apologized for-instead treated as though they are your fault. read more

If you need help with any mental health issues, I would recommend another facility. Phone calls made to the facility are never answered, and if you had left a message it will take a minimum of 24 hours for them to call you back. I tried to make an emergency appointment on a Friday and I was told they were about to close and I needed to go to the hospital. I was not suicidal or had thoughts of hurting myself and they brushed me off. When dealing with patients with psychiatric issues, they don't make any effort to help you. read more

I saw the NP Cynthia Hathaway. Told me flat out since I can't take benzos she couldn't help me with my anxiety so insisted on upping my trintellix. I think she must get paid by Takeda or something. Went to another doctor and come to find out Trintellix was worsening my anxiety. Was given another antidepressant as well as back on my Buspar and my anxiety is gone, depression has not returned. Both medicines are cheaper. And I don't have to take benzos. She just didn't want to help me, and didn't want to give up her check from Takeda Pharma. read more

I have been going to this center for a few years and have always had a pleasant experience. They only get four stars because they don't answer their phones. Don't try to call last minute because you probably won't get through.Other than that I have never had any problems. read more

Dr. Williams has been extremely professional and caring. As far a "turn over" I believe many MD students seek his guidance and work with him closely. I would think that would be a positive. (There is always two sides). read more
