So a year ago I had to get rid of my Ear Gauges because I was not longer happy with them and I couldn't wear normal earrings. I had to close them and yesterday (a year later) they healed beautifully leaving no scars and also yesterday I finally got my ears pierced and for the first time ever I'm wearing normal earrings. What a great place! Came here for a helix piercing and to have one of my seconds redone. The place was incredibly clean and it smelled like they were using lots of cleaning products. I truly appreciated that as I had a piercing that did not heal correctly before and I was worried about that. Shelby was the person who pierced me and she was excellent. She made me feel comfortable and explained the whole process to me very clearly. The pain was pretty limited and she moved very quickly and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. A piercing cost $30 (which is reasonable) and then their jewelry is where it can get pricey. The only thing that bothered me in the slightest was that nowhere online do they tell you their prices for jewelry you have to go in store and they will not quote over the phone. Now they do use extremely high quality products that they explain very well. The steel jewelry they have starts at $60 PER earring and their gold earrings start at $120. However, to have a good experience while your piercing is healing a quality product is important. I appreciated my experience and I would recommend! read more

After a long time debating on whether or not I should get my nipples pierced, I finally decided to do it. I found this piercing shop on Facebook, and after reading (almost) every review, I finally felt comfortable with a shop. So, I made the hour and a half trip and got them done. It was a little tough finding the place as I am not familiar with the area, but after looking at the suite number, I was all good. My piercer was actually Zack's apprentice, Allyx, and she was extremely welcoming and pleasant. The shop was extremely clean, and they everyone seemed to be in good spirits. When we went to the piercing room, Allyx answered all of my questions with ease. She really put my nerves at bay and I felt much more comfortable after speaking to her. She explained everything thoroughly and had a lot of information regarding jewelry, aftercare, and the piercing process. The actual piercing part was over fairly quickly, and it was painful but not as bad as I was expecting. She walked me through everything and had me breathe with the piercing. It was very helpful to keep my mind clear. She explained what she was doing and made sure I was okay. After we were done, she answered a couple more of my questions and let me check out the piercings, which I absolutely love. I probably won't go anywhere else to get anything pierced, even though this place is an hour and a half from home. If you live in the Pittsburgh area, don't go anywhere else but here. I had my nostril pierced today by Zach and it was a very pleasant experience. Zach was very friendly, courteous and made me feel at ease. The rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful in picking out the right piece of jewelry. I was certain it was going to be a somewhat painful experience , but how it felt was not something I could even call pain. It was more of a slight discomfort for a fraction of a second. It was over before my brain even had a chance to register what had happened! If you are looking at getting something pierced, I highly recommend Zach and his staff. I got three piercings from here and the actual piercing process was great. They were quick, easy, and clean. The jewelry I got was high quality. They were a little pricey but for good quality product and without an appointment I don't mind. That being said it's been impossible to go back to downsize. Once I came and they said that my piercings weren't ready yet and they had changed the recommended time since I had previously been there which is fine. Twice I've made the trip over while they are supposed to be open and twice they were closed. No sign or anything, just closed during their regularly scheduled hours. Took my daughter here to get her nose pierced during what was supposed to be business hours upon their return from vacation. Was greeted by a locked door and a WPXI news crew. They explained the allegations against the proprietor to another woman who was also there. They were looking for reaction footage from clients. My daughter, son and I peaced out and went to dinner nearby. Called another shop and I could practically hear the guy spit in the floor when I mentioned the proprietors name and our experience. He used some choice words about his character in telaying his experiences dealing with him. A simple Google search also brought up a previous entanglement with an employee. Zack does it again! I returned to him after a beautifully done navel piercing to get some more piercings on my ear in addition to the one lobe piercing I have. I've heard cartilage piercings are painful, but he did it quickly and efficiently with minimal pain to me. I also had an issue (due to the nature of my job, nothing that he did!) where the jewelry had to be removed, but Zack was incredibly kind and understanding about it. Words cannot express how much I love Genisy's Body Arts! I have been there twice, first for my septum and the second time for two ear piercings (conch & helix) and some jewelry changes.
