Struggled on what to give this one. Came to Geno's tonight. Unfortunately it kind has zero ambiance. It's very bright lighting inside. Service was excellent! Friendly and attentive. I ordered a New York strip. I asked for medium rare and many parts of it were over medium. Flavor was great, but it was a little tough. My hashbrowns were good. Even though it's a smaller town it's still in a major need state. Oh and the Brussels sprouts were a no go! Mushy. Pass on those. read more

We really enjoyed our visit to Geno's! It is a nice find in this small community. We really were happy to find a nice steak restaurant in town. We ordered prime rib and ribeyes and they were all cooked perfectly. We really enjoy medium rare on our steaks and they did really well cooking them. We also enjoy the large salad bar and soup options. This is a great place with friendly wait staff and great food. We will definitely be back many more times in the near future. read more

We went to Geno's for a date night. It looked like one of the nicer restaurants in the area so we gave it a go. It was a disappointment from the get go. We waited at the hostess stand for over 5 minutes before anyone came to seat us (no one else was in line). Prime rib was the special that night and we were informed they were out of it. We had reservations at 7, they closed at 9. The fact they didn't have enough of the special for the hours they were open was shocking. When it came time to ordering my husband and I both ordered something with chicken. Mine, a salad and his a sandwich. The waitress came back from the kitchen saying they only had one more piece of chicken. Again two hrs after opening and 2 hrs before closing they were out of more food. I went without the chicken and ordered my salad with no onion and no olive. I can't stomach olive even the juice makes me sick. When the food came out I had onion and olive on my salad. The waitress remembered as soon as she sat the plate down and asked if I wanted her to take it to the back for them to "take it off the plate". Picking it out whether by them or me isn't what I wanted. Plus the juice was on half the food anyway which resulted in my being unable to eat that portion of it. She claimed she was so busy she forgot. There was a total of 4 tables on her side of the restaurant. Two were finishing up. As a waitress and bartender in my younger years I can assure you that was not busy. Over all it was a major disappointment and not worth the price tag and we probably won't be going back. read more

Enjoyed our meal and the wait staff. Kaitlyn was our waitress just celebrated her21st bday the day before! She recommended the hash browns loaded! They were excellent. The filet was cooked perfect and you could cut it with a butter knife. Ribeye was a good size portion. Soup this evening beef noodle was also good. Bottom line it was a nice way to spend the evening with our son who is a freshman at Wayne. Thanks for starting our weekend right from the Chicago family!! read more

Good, solid Midwest steakhouse, salad bar is much better than standard small town; always has soup, pickled herring, develed eggs, fresh vegies; steaks are excellent; full bar; good service; best in town, moderate price. Marker on map is wrong, need to go west of Main St a block. read more

Good for the location. For a small town the food is pretty good and the waitresses are nice. It won't bankrupt you so drink more wine. It will help you feel better about any doubts. read more

By Far one of the best steak houses I've been to in a long time! Steaks were cooked perfectly and the hash browns were to die for. Service was quick and timely. We ordered our drinks and they came out in minutes. Our order took about 30-40 minutes to get to our table, but that was because there was a LARGE party of about 20 people in the room over, so to pass the time, I had a conversation with my friend instead of writing a nasty review about this hidden gem. Overall this is my favorite steakhouse/restaurant in a 100 mile radius of Wayne. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves beef and a family friendly atmosphere! read more

Geno's is just about as fancy as Wayne gets. The $3.50 burger and fries on Wednesday is my favorite deal on the menu. Decent food, good atmosphere, though I would say it tends to attract an older crowd. read more

Usually the food is mediocre. Lacks flavor. I don't think they use seasonings on any of their food. I waited for 20 minutes to be served. Nobody came for even our drink order while everyone around us was being helped and tables were being bused. When I asked to speak to a manager she was to busy to come out of the kitchen and told the hostess she was manager for now. Would somebody please tell me why there food is more expensive than olive garden but has the quality and service of well... I am not quite sure what to compare this place to everywhere else I have ever been has flavor and helpful staff not to mention management that actually cares. read more

For a steakhouse I thought the steak was just ok. The loaded potato was great. It's nothing that I couldn't have made at home though for less than $15 a plate. We didn't try the salad bar. I'd choose the bar side to eat even if you're not drinking, the scenery is much better over there. read more

Best steaks I have ever had. I live in Missouri and have been to many steakhouses in the United States. This is the #1 ranked steakhouse that I have found. Waited 50 minutes for the special. Then 15 minutes after I finished to get them to take my payment. Good food but not worth the wait.

Steak excellent but everything else fell pretty short. Just like previous reviewers, we waited quite a long time for drink orders. It wasn't that the wait staff was slacking off, they were just really understaffed. Our biggest complaint is that their house wine is terrible but they have an attached wine room to choose from, all of which were reasonably priced. But when we got the bill they added $8 for each bottle for a "corkage" fee, without having told us earlier. Felt like a scam. The salads were awful. Felt like they had been prepared days earlier. Steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. One of our party asked about the house chop and was told it was a pork chop. Well, it's really a grilled ham steak - much different. The sour cream for the baked potatoes was sad. It was served in paper cups, again likely prepared days earlier, which disintegrated into a mushy mess. I'm sure I ate a good portion of paper with my potato. And the amount of chives could fit in a thimble. They served bread, after our meals were served (strange), which was delicious. The food was good and the place was busy being a Saturday night. It is a steak house so go for the beef! I ordered the special shrimp and lobster in Alfredo sauce I was disappointed about the amount of shrimp and almost none of the lobster.... I should have ordered the steak! read more

Been going to Geno's for 6 plus years and have never had a bad meal. Salad bar is always fresh and excellent. Steaks are mouth watering !! Food is always HOT Can't beat the price and the service is always GREAT !! read more
