I was in fear of my life. Since the never know which rn would come and they did NOT document any of my declines so on paper I look stable but all meds and equipment needed is for something. I do have seizures weekly as well as falls they say been 6 months without any. Discharged so fast and improper couldn't even appeal. Had multiple companies turn me away before Discharge to transfer all denied due lack of documentation. They caused me so much heart ache and trauma. Neglected so much left to with meds. Left to cath till the following Monday cause on call didn't wanna help so I filled 2 and half bags that Monday so much blood and clots they treated me horribly

My mother was released from the hospital on the Friday of Labor Day weekend back to her assisted living facility. In the chaos of this release somehow she was taken off of half of her medicines. The hospice nurse that came on that Saturday said she would work with the med tech to review all of her medicines. That did NOT happen. I had told this same nurse not to use the word hospice in front of my mother and ten minutes later she told my mother she had been with hospice for 20 years. I had also asked this nurse to fix mothers bandage on her finger since that infection was what had her in the hospital. I saw that this had not been done when she was leaving. Her response was that my mother didn't want it done. Really??? My mother was 92 years old!! By the following Wednesday I was asked by the med tech if I wanted to take home all of the medicines that they had taken her off of. I thought the nurse had followed up and that was when I discovered she had NOT done what she said. My mother was taken off several anti anxiety meds and it threw her into a psychotic snap. I feared we would never get her back mentally and we didn't. I had begged the nurses to be real with me and give me an indication of where we stood with mothers time left. No one would give me any straight answers. For two weeks mother labored in horrible pain. Where was the comfort meds? Where was the professionals that were supposed to make the end of her life more peaceful and pain free? What joke. These people did NOT make sure her meds were being given properly.....denied the appearance of real pain........and let her ATivan medicine run out. Where is the compassion in any of this. The last day of my mothers life was pure hell. I had to beg for a nurse to come to the assisted living facility and that did not happen until 8:30pm on a Saturday. The nurse at the time said that she had transitioned and we had 24-48 hours. Less than 3 hours later my mother was dead. She died a very painful and agonizing death only because Compassus doesn't understand what true compassion is. After many attempts at reaching her Dr. ( who is one of the medical directors for this organization) I never heard back from him until my mother was dead. His apologies for everything that happened fell on deaf ears. It was too late. In my opinion the Dog Pound would have treated my mother with more compassion than this company. If you want a peaceful passing for your loved one steer clear of this company. CW Greensboro GA

I have given them multiple chances to redeem themselves but they failed so I will write this…read morereview. My take on Hospice. We did both in home and inpatient. The caregivers inpatient were overall amazing. Its the promises they made to entice you to bring your loved one there..... and then fail and fail again that you need to know about. Hospice is pretty much no care other than cleaning. What we really thought we would get was professional counseling. We were promised counseling for our mother who was losing her husband of 70+ years, for their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.... Nothing like we were promised. We were told after he passed they would reach out and support us and her the next week and never heard from them. I called and asked... no call back. I called again... finally someone said they thought we lived on the opposite side of town ????? They even made an appt with our mother before christmas, having me leave work to be there and then stood her up. So, remember all the bells and whistles arent going to be there. The staff at the facility was great... just the sales pitch and delivery was way apart. Still waiting for them to fulfill their promises but, they got their money and moved on. I was offended when i received a solicitation not once but twice to donate money to their foundation.... the literature even mentioning how they offer bereavement support. They offer but they just dont deliver.

They went out of their way to make sure she always had her medications to keep her comfortable - including one time when a nurse drove back and forth to obtain a signature from a doctor for a new script. She wanted my Mom to be comfortable over the weekend and was determined to make sure she had it as soon as possible. The delivery driver, Micheal, always called before he delivered equipment and was extremely kind with Mom. Our nurse, Asiyah, was a dream. My Mom had the utmost respect for her because she was so compassionate as well as a great listener. I adored her because she was readily available by text, called me often, listened, and genuinely loved Mom. Mom had visits from sweet Caroline - who referred to Mom as Mama as she tenderly helped her shower, or give her foot rubs, or even just watch Judge shows. The music therapist, Anna, was such a calming presence. She has the voice of an angel and has a repertoire of songs to pull from - she even sung some songs in Spanish to Mom. Everyone we met was so kind and patient - the chaplain, other nurses, social workers... and were all available via text - it felt so personal. Even after Mom died, the texts and phone calls kept coming in to check on me, offer grief support for the children, and to share their love of Mom. My only feedback would be to work on the response time with the toll-free number - it could be more efficient. However, I am so grateful that everyone gave us their cell numbers and were available via text or call when I needed them. I highly recommend Seasons.

I want to start this review by saying I am sorry if you are trying to find a hospice for your loved…read moreone. It is a hard task to do because all you want is your loved one to be able to have a peaceful death surrounded by the people they love. My advice is to interview different hospice options and follow your heart because you will know. I spoke with 2 different hospice companies and ended up going with a smaller company since my mom had Alzheimer's and really did not need a lot of resources a larger hospice can provide. My mom ended up getting the flu on Christmas Day which changed her condition rather quickly so she became bedridden. My mom was not getting the care she required during this time so I knew I had to make a change. I called Sheeva on New Years Day with Agape in complete distress because my mom was in pain and struggling to breathe. Sheeva was not working that day and was actually with her family at a party when I reached out. She took my call and I don't know how but was able to coordinate a change with Agape within 1 hour of my call. Christy was the nurse on call and when she walked into the door around 6:30pm she just took over and for hours helped my mom with her breathing. She truly was an Angel and the care and love she gave my mom was such a gift to me and my brother. Since was mom was transitioning so quickly Christy called in a continuous care nurse named Irene to stay with my mom and administer her medication so my brother and I could just be with our mom. I slept next to my mom and I would keep waking up just to check her. Irene was always at her side just making sure she was comfortable by keeping her mouth clean, putting chapstick on her lips and even brushing her hair. At 4am Irene gently woke my brother and I up to say it was time. We got a chance to be with our mom until she took her last breath. Agape gave our family such a gift to be able to be with our mom until the end. My biggest regret was not going with them at the beginning. The 10 hours that Agape took care of my mom is something I will always remember. Please do not experience the agony we did with Providence Care hospice whose neglect almost caused my mom a painful death. Agape hospice has the resources and the most amazing staff who will take care of your loved one so you can just be with the person you love. I hope you find peace during this time and I am just so grateful Agape was able to give my mom the care she deserved in her final hours. Anne S
