I was referred to Montgomery Endodontics (ME) when I had a mysterious toothache whose cause eluded 2 dentists. The referring dentist said that ME is the root canal expert, and they would let me know if I needed a root canal. The appointment setting process was easy and Katya was super friendly and helpful. I was able to seen within a few days and she was able to answer my questions to my satisfaction. On the day of the appointment the tooth pain disappeared as mysteriously as it had come, and I planned on Dr. Mocknick telling me that there was nothing wrong and a root canal would not be necessary. Upon arrival, Kathy greeted me warmly and they brought me back very quickly -- within minutes. The paperwork was minimal and processed immediately. The dental assistant, Malia, came to greet me right away and introduced herself, and even shook my hand. She took x-rays for me and those usually hurt me because of the way my teeth are grown but she was an expert and the experience was barely unpleasant. Dr. Mocknick came over as soon as the x-rays were done and he also introduced himself and shook my hand. I was so very pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of everyone at this practice! Dr. Mocknick looked at the x-rays and saw nothing out of the ordinary. He did all kinds of tests to see if he could find a cause for my teeth to hurt but nothing seemed to be triggering it. I thought sure that that would be the end of the visit, since the pain was no longer there and a cause couldn't be found. Then he decided to check out the surrounding teeth to be sure and lo and behold, a bad tooth was found. He recommended a root canal, showed me on the x-rays the problem areas, and I agreed to it. The entire root canal probably took about 90 minutes, which he said was longer than usual. But I could tell that he was really digging around in there and when he showed me how it looked after, I could see a remarkable difference. The entire time I felt like he was very competent, and he and Malia did everything to make me as comfortable as possible. They both checked on me multiple times, and I even dozed off for a while when he was doing his work. That really says something! They did multiple x-rays afterwards to make sure everything was clean, then when I was leaving, Dr. Mocknick walked me out personally and gave me prescriptions and instructions personally. If you can't tell, I was truly impressed by the level of care and service provided by all of the staff I encountered, and though I'm not recommending that anyone get a root canal -- if you need one, go to Montgomery Endodontics -- you won't regret it! They were running behind and she actually called people to let them know they could come in 30 minutes after the scheduled time. Never in my life... most of the time they don't even tell you in the waiting room. As far as the procedure went I can't complain about anything. Dental staff is highly professional, friendly, and helpful. All in all is rather not repeat the experience but if I find myself needing another root canal I would prefer to make the drive, over anything close to home.

He said he would have to check if they still have it as they delete these files because of the size, but nonetheless he would call me and let me know. No call. I called the office 3 times to ask and no call back. I gave up and decided to get a new scan as I had $$ in my FSA that I had to use or lose. I made an appt for 8am and the dr wasn't in yet. I waited for 30 min and still no doctor, so I left. I didn't get a call from them at all. They charge patients who don't show up, maybe I should charge them? I'm a long time patient so I kept my 6 mo appt, which was last week. The hygienist (who was great) mentioned there is a note in my file regarding a night guard, would I like them to scan my mouth at this visit? I said no but they checked my insurance anyway and it wasn't covered so I opted out. I did flat out tell the nice hygienist that this would be my last time here as the poor service shouldn't be tolerated. I am not holding my breath for a call.

Dr. Yelamanchi looked at me for 1 min, said "yes, you need a root canal, but unfortunately I don't have the time to do it now so you'll need to schedule another appointment." What a joke. That was the whole point of the appointment - to get the root canal. Does he not realize that patients have jobs and can't just take days off work for no reason? Consulting doctor recommended nitrous oxide sedation for my anxiety, which the other doctor then tried to talk me out of as he is inexperienced working with patients under sedation. The office staff did not explain the costs fully and told me that part of the cost of the procedure would be "written off" which was not reflected on my statement and I am waiting to find out if this is true or if I will be billed for this portion. A crown had been advised by the first doctor and I was open to this, but I also had some underlining issues and concerns with the tooth, that resulted in the second opinion. Just in my initial contact with the office of Dr. Bidgoli, I could easily see the strong professionalism of the practice. It was even more so during my first appointment, especially with regard to the steps taken to ensure BOTH the safety of patient and staff during Covid. As for my time with Dr. Bidgoli, "impressive" is the best descriptor that I can offer. Her consultation was clearly rooted in the best interest of me, the patient. She patiently explained everything clearly and with logic and facts. I also heard input on my situation that I had not heard prior. I was so impressed. I was a little scared because root canals have such a bad rep, but thankfully I was referred by my dentist to Dr. Gamson. I was seen promptly when I arrived and felt more relaxed in just a few minutes. Dr. Gamson is gifted - finding common interests to distract patients in a charming manner - and at the same time explaining what he is doing and what to expect. Also, it's clear he's a top notch expert when it comes to root canals. I had no pain during the procedure - just a bit of sting with the shots. The root canal immediately addressed the radiating pain. I was so relieved that an experience I expected to be horrible was not - and I enjoyed Dr. Gamson's charming chatter, which distracted me from my fears. The office staff was efficient and helped me understand the insurance coverage situation. Also, the office and treatment rooms have unique art displayed that I enjoyed learning about. Anyway, I'm going back soon as I suspect another tooth needs treatment...it's nice that I know I have no reason to worry.
