I chose to transfer my care from this office due to ongoing communication issues and unprofessional interactions. There was a consistent lack of clear communication between the midwife and myself, and the front desk staff were often rude and, at times, not fully transparent. Even after reaching 22 weeks, I was never informed when I would meet the OB, which was concerning. When I called to notify the office that I would be transferring my care, I was met with a dismissive response--"that's unfortunate"--before being hung up on while I was still trying to ask about a prescription the midwife had submitted. I also felt that my preferences were not fully heard or respected. Based on my experience, the practice appears to strongly favor non-epidural approaches, so patients who are considering an epidural may want to ask detailed questions upfront to ensure their needs will be supported. As a first-time mom, feeling heard and supported is extremely important, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. While I never had the opportunity to meet the OB directly, my experience with the office staff and overall communication leads me to recommend that others carefully consider their options before choosing this practice. read more

I am writing regarding my visit to your office today. I was informed by the receptionist that I could not be seen due to an outstanding no-show fee from 2024. I explained that I did call to cancel that appointment, but I was unable to leave a message because the voicemail system did not allow it. Despite this, I was told that I could not be seen unless the fee was paid. I understand office policies regarding missed appointments; however, I made an effort to cancel and was unable to reach anyone. I would appreciate it if this matter could be reviewed. A few things. This past march I made called to make an appointment in April for my annual. I lived in Boston at the time, and was going to be in town for wed-Sunday, and needed an appointment. The receptionist made the appointment. When I arrived they took my vitals, and then the nurse asked why I was in. I told her "for my annual", and in a very accusatory tone she said "you can't get that" 30 mins later after going back and forth, the doctor informed me that they couldn't do the annual because I was a month early. I explained I asked for an annual when I made the appointment. They proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not asking the receptionist when my last one was. They also had no record of my previous blood pressure test, which is impossible because I got a refill of my prescription (which needs a blood test to be approved) Lastly, I moved to Atlanta and needed a refill of my prescription. I was told that my OC had 21 days of active pills, 3 days of a half dosage and 4 of placebo. I was put on it because the standard was giving me migraines due to the hormone dip. My pharmacy unfortunately does not carry the exact brand, but Carrie's the equivalent. The pharmacist told me about the one they carry, and said there was no half dosage pills. Which I thought was odd. After going back and forth he explains that what I'm on is also just 24 days of active pills and 4 of placebos. The doctor lied to me about how the medication worked. After going to my Doctor for years and not getting answers, I was referred to Dr Seraji. From the friendly front desk to the room girl, I felt very comfortable. This office just lost a patient, an after thinking of all the ways they have messed up with me I am impressed I didn't cut them off sooner. Seraji and Linda J are truly wonderful. My issue is the staff Seraji employs and their incredible "know it all" "i am just so so so busy" attitudes. Called in January, 8 months pregnant, it was Friday around 12:45... I had a question but it was important. Before I could get a word out she heard me say I was pregnant and transferred me trained to OB coordinator. Voicemail. I call back, and again before I can say anything she transfers me to OB coordinator. Voicemail. Again. I call back AGAIN and AGAIN transfers me straight. The next time I call back the only way she listens is when I'm a HUGE B*TCH so I scream DO NOT HANG UP THE PHONE DO NOT TRANSFER ME THE OB COORDINATOR IS NOT ANSWERING AND I NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE RIGHT NOW! "Oh why didn't you say so?" .... are you kidding every time I tried you transferred me right away. Unbelievable. I called in March because I was 4 weeks PP but developed a high fever of 101 and wanted to know what to do. Was it a regular flu and should I go to my regular doctor? Technically I was still under their care. Spoke to Linda the OB coordinator who brushed me off (as always) saying it was Mastitis and that I need to call someone else. I told her I am nursing just fine and no swollen ducts, I have been in touch with my lactation consultant and she said to call you guys. After 2 or 3 phone calls of me trying to explain my symptoms she FINALLY said okay I'll ask the doctor. Turns out it was a UTI from my c section recovery and I just needed an RX Called again yesterday about pain but had a fever and just wanted to know should I go to the ER or wait and come in? Front desk lady makes me an appointment and then tells me I have a balance to which I say I will pay tomorrow because I'm sick in bed. She literally says to me "I don't appreciate you wanting to come in if you have a fever, we have OB patients" .... I said "I called asking for advice and you literally made me an appointment. I asked if I should go to the ER instead".... she gets all flustered and I just couldn't handle the nonsense and hung up. These women do not take the time to listen to your symptoms or even hear what you are trying to say. Everyone who works in the office that answers the phone is truly a wreck and they are the meanest people who work in health care. It's astounding. The only nice person has blonde hair and wears glasses .... I forget her name though. The other women are rude, inconsiderate, and the sole reason I am leaving this practice after 10 years and 1 baby delivered. Seraji, please hire people who will care for your patients and listen to them. The people who represent you are shameful and a true disgrace. TLDR: front desk never listened to my symptoms and always tried to push me off the phone, really difficult to get a word in. read more

A situation occurred in which I asked questions that went unanswered, required treatment that wasn't given and I felt belittled when a staff member yelled at me. Dec. 21, 2019 updated I called to make an appointment and this lady, the first name starts from S was really rude. ( I would not tell her real name even she had no respect to me.) it was my first time having communication with her. I don't know. But she might be new or only for weekends. I asked a question over the phone then she made me on hold for almost ten minutes. Then I hang up and called her again. She answers the phone right away, as soon as she finds out it was me, she sounded annoyed and told me to wait until she calls me back. So I hung up and I waited patiently. It was over one and half hour waiting, I called her but no answers. So i decided to drive to the office since its not too far nor did not want to wait all day for her call. As soon as she realized it was me at the reception, she made really annoyed face. Such a childish act. She never gave me apology, but said all excuses. Anyways, she went to talk to Dr. about the question, and gave me an answer finally. I hope she did the same thing right away and called me back so I did not had to wait or drove there. All I ask is her doing things she said to do. Very unprofessional. Because i never had any problem when I was pregnant and visits last year and this year, I really love everything about this place, I was pretty shocked about this incident in the morning. I don't know if I want to continue going there. After my next appointment, I might look for different office. read more

I am never returning here. Quite often I have issues reaching Linda (when leaving messages with receptionists). For instance, a few months ago I could not reach her to talk about my test results. I left a message with a receptionist who assured me Linda would get back to me when she came in. 2 weeks went by. . . Nothing. I tried leaving messages unsuccessfully 2 times after that and decided to give up. I figured the next time I saw Linda I would ask my questions and tell her about my difficulty reaching her. I thought, best case scenario she would apologize for the inconvenience, let her staff know of the issue, and I would get the information I needed regarding my health. What actually happened was the LAST thing I expected. First off Linda would not bring me into the normal patient room because "she had a patient". I was flabbergasted. I made an appointment to see Linda. I showed up for that appointment; waited 35 minutes. And she would not take me into a room. She walked me to what I guess she believed was a private hallway area to speak. Then rushed me as I tried to ask my personal questions regarding my health. Then she completely excused my concerns about being able to reach her. No apology. No Concern. She just brushed me off and repeated that she always reads her message book, and always calls her patients back. To make matters worse, I went to get my blood pressure checked to renew my prescription. I asked the receptionist if this was needed before paying the copay. She led me to believe that it was. Turns out I didn't need my blood pressure checked at that time. My prescription was still valid for another three months. So I paid a copay to barely talk to linda and to get rushed and treated like I was lying or imagining things. I'm disappointed; crushed. It absolutely sucks to not be able to reach someone when your anxious or scared. But it's even worse to realize that you and your concerns are not important, after you finally get in touch with that someone. I will not be returning to Gentle Care OBGYN. read more

I have been going to Gentle Care OB/GYN since 2008. All 3 of my children were delivered by my Midwife, Linda, with few complications. Since I developed Gestational Diabetes and Pre-eclampsia with the last, I was under the care of Dr. Seraji too and was referred to a specialist at Madonna Perinatal Clinic. I had a whole team of highly qualified people assisting me with this process and I couldn't have had any better. I highly recommend having a Midwife because they are comforting, empathetic and kind (especially Linda). Dr. Seraji was also great- he was on top of everything having to do with my case and he always set me at ease with his kindness and humor. I have had such great experiences with them and I appreciate their approach to my treatment since I was so high-risk. The staff were also great and were always so positive when I dealt with them. read more

Choosing a GYN doctor has to be one of the hardest things ever. As a clinician myself, I can relate to both ends of the spectrum. I decided to give this place a go after reading the raving reviews here on Yelp. Nonetheless was disappointed in the manner of which I was handled by a few staff members. I had been putting off seeing a GYN for over a year because I could seem to find a good one. And every time I'd make an appointment somethings would come up and I'd end up canceling. So of course, Murphy's Law wasn't going to prove otherwise this day. I got a call 2 hrs prior to my appointment that my 2yr old was running a fever (molars breaking through) and I had to pick him up from daycare. So I tried to move my appointment to accommodate his dad's schedule so I could make the appointment. But I had no luck. So my little guy was forced to come with me. With Motrin on board he was in good spirits. However he was cranky from not having his midday nap. Fast fwd, the facility is very kid friendly with toys in the lobby that kept him thoroughly entertained. But what I did NoT appreciate were the glares I received consistently from 2 of the women from behind the counter. As if I was being judged for bringing my son with me to this appointment. One even went as far to ignore my son when he pleasantly said hello to her as we passed. Now the medical assistant and the mid wife were sweethearts. They seemed to have a different level of empathy the. The two women I. The front. But that first impression just left a bitter taste in my mouth. I give them 3 stars because like I said. The mid wife was sweet. I could feel her compassion as a provider and she understood my situation with having to bring my son. And assured me numerous times it was ok. However, I wouldn't recommend them past an annual exam. If I have another baby. I have no intention on going there. I'd likely end up going off on one of them women behind the counter if I walked in there to the shade they threw me that day. Sorry for the rant. But in short. Find another GYN. There's definitely better out there. read more

OK - This is obviously from the perspective of the husband, so take that into consideration. I had never put a lot of thought into "lady doctors." I mean, why would I? But when my wife had an exceptionally unpleasant experience with her former doctor, I became intimately involved with the specialty and what it takes to trust a doctor with such a delicate task. Through a cousin, my wife was introduced to Dr. Jahanshah Seraji of 'Gentle Care OB/G,' and she has never looked back. I think she would honestly get rid of me before she got rid of Dr. Seraji! He has always taken a personal approach to every issue she has had. He's delivered both of our sons and has always shown warmth and compassion as well as wit and above all, skill! Granted, the wait times for appointments can be somewhat long, but for the most part the staff is courteous, professional and caring. read more

Dr. Seraji is an amazing man, who may be the most caring, loving Dr. I have ever been to! I am horrified by some of the other reviews he has received here because he deserves nothing less than 5 stars. I admit, I agree with the opinions of the other reviewers about the office staff. But, in the grand scheme of things, they are not the ones holding my life in their hands. Dr. Seraji is, and I trust him completely with it! If you visit his office, the most commonly used phrase you will hear is "Dr. Seraji is the best!" and it's true. He is! He cares for you like you are his own family. His bedside manner is unequalled, and he is extremely knowledgeable. He values your opinion, as the patient, and doesn't push you into doing things that you aren't comfortable with. He delivered my first child, via c-section, and was so attentive to me during the entire surgery. (Very different from the doctor who delivered my second child, who acted like I wasn't even there and talked about what she was going to eat for lunch, during my surgery.) Dr. Seraji put me at ease, made me feel safe, and cared for all of my needs, above and beyond! Also, I cannot stress enough what an extremely skilled surgeon he is! My surgery was high risk, due to placenta previa, but Dr. Seraji never showed it. Also, my recovery was so fast and my scar healed perfectly. Dr. Seraji, if you ever read these reviews, I just want to say THANK YOU for being who you are! I was so blessed to have you for my doctor, and I wish that I still could, if I didn't live so far away now. May God bless you for the way you genuinely take care of people! read more

The receptionist on the phone did not have the patience or time of day to answer my questions and could not give me direct answers about hours of operation. She then rudely cut me off and transferred me so she didn't have to deal with my questions. She is the first impression for this dr surgery, what a bad first impression. Dr. Linda J has been my OBGYN for over 10 years. The office is always spotless and the front desk staff are professional and polite. Appointments are occasionally difficult to schedule but that's any doctor office. My mother and coworker see Dr. Seraji and love him. Definitely worth a visit. read more

Linda is not accommodating n I had issues after a dnc n she seemed annoyed.dr seraji although a lovely man.after he performed my dnc I felt like a gutted fish I woke up in agony.n I had 2 previous dnc's by another dr.n felt completely fine. Before reading all the terrible reviews for their staff/ receptionist I actually called to make my very first appointement as a new pregnant patient and sure enough I experienced the Miss universe rudeness on the phone...This women who I should have asked the name...Was not only very bothered by my call but never listened to any information i provided her, she made me repeat twice and finally said to call back friday to take an appointement (almost yelling at me...) The reviews for Linda and DR. Seraji are very good but not sure you want to deal with such staff,...Hope they finally read all the bad reviews concerning their staff and get rid of them because their business will eventually go down...they are many,many good OB-GYN and Midwifes out there... read more

I have been a patient since early 2017 and Dr. Seraji delivered our son October 2018. We have always had a good experience with him and his staff especially his Ob coordinator Marie. I called so many times throughout my pregnancy and she has always been very helpful. No question was ever too silly or crazy for her to answer. She was always listening. The Dr is very kind and patient and always made me feel comfortable especially during my check ups. I had a few hiccups during my pregnancy but he was always there to reassure my husband and I that everything would be fine. Everyone there was always nice and happy. Appointment availability was never an issue and if I ever had a question or concern he would always call at the end of his day. The office is always clean and well maintained. Linda is also very nice. I saw her twice after my c section and she was very informative and answered all my questions. His sonographer Laurie is amazing. Very comforting and funny. I always stop in her office whenever I'm there to show her pictures of the baby. So glad I found a gynecologist who i feel comfortable with and can talk to about anything. His staff is attentive and supportive. The front desk is nice as well. I will continue to be his patient and refer others to him as well. read more

As a woman, it can be difficult to find an Obstetric/Gynecologist that can help you feel relaxed and know that your questions can be answered. I have tried quite a few different offices and I have been at this office for a looong time, because I have finally found a Gynecologist that I am totally relaxed with for examinations or one day to deliver my child. The staff is very kind, sympathetic and understanding. They are usually very good at keeping appointments on time. Obviously, emergencies can pop up at anytime as babies are unpredictable. My personal physician is Dr. Seraji. I can't claim awesome, knowledgeable and amazing enough to describe him. He is personable and honest. He makes you feel like your family. Just incredible. Not for nothing, Linda is amazing. She's the midwife working at the office. I think they compliment each other very well at this office. The work ethic, experience, knowledge and personality in this office is the greatest. If I move, I guess I would have to make the hike to make my visits. Ladies, do not do you self a disservice if you are looking for an Obstetric/Gynecologist office. They are the best. read more

Its really sad to see all these negative reviews that arent for doctor s. or Linda J. The fact that so many people have issues with the staff at the front desk/ phone is mind boggling. I had tried calling maybe 100 times throughout the course of a year to: wait for it.... wait...ok...now....JUST TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY ANNUAL. They either didnt answer the phone at various hours during the day, or theyd answer and put me on hold and then...just forget about me. I would stay on the phone 15 mins and then give up. Each time over and over. It got so out of hand that I missed my annual exam one year because I literally COULDNT GET THROUGH. What the F is going on here??? dont even bother leaving a voicemail. Nobody calls you back. The TV in the waiting room is obnoxiously loud. It makes the over an hour wait feel like a century. Also, it would be nice if they could call patients and let them know that hey the doctor delivered some babies today and is WAY behind schedule. Instead of letting us all arrive and have 20 ppl in the waiting room. Not cool. Please be more respectful of peoples lives and schedules. The hour and change I spent in the waiting room for my 2 second appointment could have been better used and I would have been fine arriving an hour later. read more

WARNING!!!! DO NOT VISIT THIS OFFICE!!!! THEY DON'T GIVE YOU QUALITY TIME AND UNDERSTANDING THAT YOU WANT AND NEED!! Very disappointed with their service!! Their staff, except for billing coordinator, is the worst staff people I've ever had to deal with at a doctor's office. These people have no idea of how to be professional, they have no level of sympathy or emotions for potential patients who are either very happy for the good news of being pregnant, or who are unfortunately going through a bad pregnancy. In fact, don't expect to be treated like you want to be treated... with happiness and understanding of what you are going through. Whether you are happy or sad. On my first visit, I was expecting to be greeted by nice nurturing staff kind enough to walk me through the process, but instead, my first encounter was with the phlebotomist who was grumpy and moody. Secondly, I was scheduled for a sonogram with the only one person that they have available and for the only one day during the week that they have available. In other words, they don't have enough resources to fulfill their patient's needs. In addition, my sonogram was then cancelled twice!!! for an understanding and unfortunate reason, I understand, but because I simply demanded to have my records release to me so that I could go somewhere else, some uneducated and disgusting girl named Daisha or Aisha, gave me the biggest attitude, told me off, and spoke over me without letting me talk. WOW!! what a way to treat the patients!! It was simply unprofessional and uncalled for. I can't imagine a person going through what I went through, where my heart was beating so fast, shaking of anger because of how this lady treated me, not to mention that I was driving. I HOPE TO GET MY RECORDS WITHIN 48 HORS FROM NOW. OTHERWISE, I WILL REPORT THIS TO THE BUSINESS BUREU. read more
