Even after reaching 22 weeks, I was never informed when I would meet the OB, which was concerning. When I called to notify the office that I would be transferring my care, I was met with a dismissive response--"that's unfortunate"--before being hung up on while I was still trying to ask about a prescription the midwife had submitted. I also felt that my preferences were not fully heard or respected. Based on my experience, the practice appears to strongly favor non-epidural approaches, so patients who are considering an epidural may want to ask detailed questions upfront to ensure their needs will be supported. As a first-time mom, feeling heard and supported is extremely important, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. While I never had the opportunity to meet the OB directly, my experience with the office staff and overall communication leads me to recommend that others carefully consider their options before choosing this practice.

Would have to say Dr. Leslie King is very knowledgeable and truly knows her medical craft in and out. I love the layout of the new location here in Valley Stream office vs. Rockville Centre office. She has a space that truly represents her spirit and expertise better. Know that when you come to visit her though, don't wear fragrance, as she personally has serious allergies. You won't want to be the one that makes her use her Epi Pen. Overnight it blew up even more to the point where it was painful to sit and walk. I was calling every gynecology office listed that took my insurance and was already signed into the ER in oceanside. I was so so scared and as a last hope I decided to call one more office and beg them to take me. Idk what God was looking after me at that point because I swear I was in years wandering around the ER and the lovely lady who picked up my call asked me a few questions and said she was going to try to get me in that same day. She scheduled me for 3pm, while I called at 11. So I went home and waited by sleeping since I was in too much pain to do anything else. 2:30 came and I made my way over. They knew how much pain I was in and that I couldn't sit so they put me in a room so that I could lay down while I waited. All of the staff was so so kind to me while I was having my panic attack, and this was one of the only male gynecologists I actually had such a good time. They all took such great care of me and made me feel relaxed. He managed to drain the cyst and I felt some pain but i almost cried tears of joy when i got up from the table and found out i could walk!! They even offered to get me to my car safely since it was across the parking lot. Sadly the cyst came back 4 days later and I called once again I called them and they got me into emergency surgery again on a Friday evening. And once again they all were so so sweet to me, getting me water and understanding how nerve wrecking this was. My luck was clearly not returning to me though because on Saturday the cyst came back one more time. The office is sadly closed on the weekend but they gave me the number to call for the On Call doctor over the weekend. I was super lucky because it was the same doctor that did my operation Monday night, so he told me exactly what to do over the weekend to help me with my pain. If you ever need a OB/GYN I highly recommend them. The whole staff is so so nice and every single doctor there is amazing. This is coming from a 27 year old girl who was distraught and in years as she came both times and was so scared, and managed to get home and leave the office both times feeling so relaxed.

I had an issue and called to speak with a PA, who called me back within an hour or 2. Was very freindl, concerned, and helpful which I much appreciated. I havent waited more than 15 minutes here in the lobby which is great, even in the afternoon. Very easy to book an appointment with a PA last minute becuase there are other locations close by (westbury...) and even in queens. Suggest booking early to see an MD. If want to see an MD, must mention it when booking. MD not usually in on Fridays. If no other pateint booked on day of your appt, your appt will get rescheduled. If your pregnant, you need to see Ob-Gyn doc (not gyn doc). There are approx only 1-2 Ob-gyn doc work at each location on only certain days. If want to see a diff doctor at each prenatal visit (to ensure you have met the doctor that you will see at time if delivery which I recommend), then you will need to visit their other locations. Majority of their locations are in Nassau county of LI which are 15-30 minutes from each other, so it's not too bad. Only doctor office that did not give me a hard time about my high deductible insurance which I cant pay with an HSA acct until I receive EOB and doc bill with matching amounts. All other doctor office harrass me to pay upfront and does not understand this type of insurance and method of pmt is common. Affiliated with LIJ, which is best in this area for delivering a baby. Parking lot with easy parking available at this location and westbury. Not in forest hills but there are garages can pay nearby. I def recommend this location. The forest hills is all the above but facility is smaller and older. Finding a ob-gyn that you trust is hard and so is pregnancy. I hope this helps.
