I really don't know why there's so much hate here. I came here for an emergency initially and she got me in same day. The doctor was so kind and compassionate and she was so patient. For those who can't get someone on a call just press the "1" command. I waited a few minutes and then someone answered. I was put on hold with good music and information. Then someone answered. She was very friendly and was able to get me in for a last minute appointment. As usual. I get there and they take me in immediately. Hardly make me wait. Then I speak with a nurse and let them know I'm scared because I hate gynecologists but they were so compassionate and eased my worries. read more

I've been a patient here for a few years (unfortunately) and usually went to the Garden City or New Hyde Park offices. No matter the location, my experience with this practice has been pretty terrible. There have been multiple times where I scheduled and confirmed appointments, only to find out they had rescheduled them without telling me, which caused me to miss the appointment entirely. When I asked to have my medical records sent to my new gynecologist, they told me they couldn't email them to me and would only fax them. I also asked if I could see my office notes to review the documentation, but they wouldn't provide them. There was even a time when I waited about four hours for an appointment and ended up having to leave before getting my results. The next morning I woke up to a rude message saying that since I didn't stay, I'd need to make another appointment if I wanted my results. You also rarely see the same doctorit's usually someone new each time and the visits feel very rushed. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone. read more

They have an answering service in the Philippines, and you will NEVER EVER recieve a call back, a text, or anything. Its horrifying. Very rude, demeaning and unprofessional doctor deandra at the garden city location. She missed my phone call appointment then blamed me for the office not updating my number even though it was updated by the front desk on Monday. Repeatedly talking over me and not listening to my concerns. Then i asked for my doctor who i spoke to and following our appointment. My doctor unfortunately wasn't there but doctor deandra was so rude with such an attitude and told me "listen here is what is going to happen your doctor isnt here so i will have to do it or you wait a week". One star. While the staff is friendly, I am appalled by this facility's dangerous negligence. After waiting two weeks for results, a different provider gave me alarming information that felt "off." I immediately sought a second opinion at another facility, which returned my results the next day; they were the complete opposite of what I was told at Garden OB/GYN. It is clear my records were mixed up with another patient's. This is life-threatening "Russian Roulette". Someone else is now walking around with my healthy results while requiring urgent care, and I was subjected to unnecessary trauma. To make matters worse, I have spent hours trying to reach the Garden City office, but they are not answering and even their own main line cannot reach them. AVOID!!! I have been coming here for years but after my last two visits, I will never return. In my last visit, the NP was rude and injured me during my pap smear. The office had the audacity to then bill me for a test I didn't consent to having. I have been going back and forth with my insurance and the billing department for months. Multiple times the billing department has lied to me saying that conversations were not had with them when discussing this bill on a call with my insurance. Billing continues to send bills every week which seems like harrassment. They have no picked up the phone and the insurance has been trying to contact them for months! My visit prior to this, I was given medical advice that was in complete disagreement with another medical specialist of mine. I had an annual exam in December 2024. Because I had recently switched insurance providers, I initially had to pay for the visit out of pocket. My insurance later covered the visit in full, so I naturally expected to be reimbursed for the payment I made. I paid in February 2025, and my insurance paid the practice in March 2025. To this day--after numerous reminders--I still have not received my reimbursement. The billing department has been mostly unresponsive and totally unprofessional the few times I interacted with them, which is disappointing and reflects poorly on the entire practice. If this issue remains unresolved, my next step will be to report the matter to the insurance fraud department, as the practice has been paid twice for the same service and continues to withhold my refund. The service itself was ok-ish, but definitely not worth this headache. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Terrible. I had bloodwork taken on 7/11/2025, reported via my online portal on 7/15/25. It is 8/13/25 and they are just telling me to follow up with my PCP concerning abnormal results. In addition, I had a missed miscarriage on 7/11/2025, and got this news delivered to me by an unempathetic PA, who dismissed me and my questions. They always rush you out. The wait time is TERRIBLE (prepare to wait more than 1 hour). The staff has no cohesiveness or communication. On my post-op sonogram 4 weeks after my d&c, they reported remnants of pregnancy related material and wanted to schedule a second sonogram within a week to determine whether I need misoprosotol. I am so suspicious of their intent given every time I visit there's a fee. It's unnecessary and numerous follow-ups at the expense of patient consideration/convenience. The absolute worst f*cking medical practice I have ever been to. So disorganized and unprofessional with communication and scheduling appts, but they have the audacity to follow up consistently about copayments. I've been trying to get my BC refill since my annual visit on Thursday and have been going back and forth with what seem to be professional morons. Mind you I was actually told to reschedule my annual visit from the prior week AFTER I arrived, signed in and filled out forms because apparently it was 1 day too soon to have my annual done. This is after I called about the same appt at least 8 times to make sure everything was correct. Run very far from this place it's literally a shithole wrapped in pink. Wish I could add -7 stars. It's embarrassing that this is supposed to be a women's health clinic, run by mostly women, and it's this bad. All they give a shit about are cosmetic procedures. I have been attending Garden OBGYN for about 5 years. I have been able to write off some minor inconveniences over the years but my last appointment was terrible. The appointment was my last straw to never attend the clinic again and hopefully warn others.  I understand the respect, knowledge and service when dealing with patients due to working at a clinic myself. The appointment started with the nurse completely butchering my name. Understandably, she did not know how to pronounce the name but she called me a whole different one. For example: My last name is Maragh and kept calling out for "Mariah."  Second, the doctor brought in a student (which I was okay with). However, I am used to the student observing, not proceeding to complete the exam. The doctor sat on the side as the student started the exam with the speculum. Everyone with the experience of a speculum knows this is one of the most uncomfortable part. This student made it uncomfortable and painful. She began to move the speculum INSIDE OF ME. I  heard the doctor ask "did it lock?''. To my shock, the student was trying to unlock the speculum while inside of me instead of pulling it out, ensure it worked, and placing it back.  Thirdly, the student RUBBED, not swabbed, inside of the vagina to receive for testing. She made this appointment and process all the more painful.  Lastly, I was getting dressed in the room and I was getting my things together when I noticed the doctor left the computer open to not only my chart but every single patient that would be seen for the rest of the day. It was a huge HIPAA violation. This clinic has been disgraceful and based on the reviews, I see others would agree. If anyone knows who I could provide this information to, for there to be more repercussions, especially for the HIPAA violations, please let me know. read more

I've never even given a medical review before bec I didn't think it was possible to have a bad experience with your doctor office - boy was I wrong. I had an abnormal test result and it was left over VOICEMAIL noting to come back in 6 months, no results on the portal and no one to answer the phone. It's so insane that a message like that can be communicated via voicemail with no context. At my first appointment at the clinic, I was really nervous and insecure. The girl from reception was pretty calm, and the MA was really sweet and patient with me. On the other hand, I explained to the provider that I was nervous, but she didn't care or try to explain the procedure; she just went right ahead and collected the swabs. The SONO lady was really serious, and even tho I asked some questions, she just ignored them. I felt a little sad, but I did not care much. I left, and like 1 week after, went to the portal. It said like I got some type of birth control removed, it and some birth control pills that I was taking, and other medications that I have never taken before. I have never been on birth control before. I went back to the office for my results, and the receptionist had a really nasty attitude, and to be completely honest, I do not know if discrimination was involved in it. I am hispanic i speak english fluentlyy but i felt that she had an attitude against me while she was supper friendly with the other ladies that were not hispanic, some of my hormones levels were up and had me concerned i asked what could i do about them and the provider ignored my question and focus more on my cholesterol and triglycerided being high knowing that those test are supposed to be taken while you are fasting for more accurate results, she only prescribed Vitamin D, and she had a student with her and at one point of the appointment the student started talking about her point of view and like her personal experince, which to be honest i did not mind but i did not pay a copay to hear her talking about herself. To be completely honest I do not think I will be back in that place. I did not like my experience there. Some people are really friendly, do not mind me, but I do not feel like it is a good clinic; just be mindful if you go there. read more

READ THE YELP REVIEWS ON THIS PLACE! They push for reviews so bad, so here's mine. I came here in 2023 because I was spotting for weeks. The only thing that changed in my life at that time was that I was trying out a supplement. After they did a sonogram, someone called me into her office and said "you have non-traditional PCOS. Meaning you have PCOS but you don't have traditional PCOS symptoms". Which btw, I have not a single PCOS symptom. I asked what can I do about it and she immediately throws birth control pills at me. I asked her if there's any natural routes I can take to help the situation. She said "nope, if you're not willing to take birth control, there's nothing I can do for you". (She's not even a doctor btw). As someone who is studying holistic health, I didn't believe her and went to see a (non holistic, REAL) doctor. Without me saying a word about not wanting birth control, that doctor said to me "I don't want to put you on birth control for PCOS unless I absolutely have to" and took my blood for testing. She gave me natural remedies to help with my HORMONAL IMBALANCE WHICH WAS ALL IT WAS and since then I've been absolutely fine. The spotting I was experiencing stopped immediately once I stopped the supplement. These people kept calling me in 2024 to come in for an annual exam. I finally went on 1/12/25 and while I was sitting in the waiting room, the women at the front desk were pushing people to write reviews (that's probably why they have so many good ones on google). I agreed to doing a sonogram as part of my annual just to make sure everything was okay. After the sonogram, a woman named Catherine (who's not even a doctor, once again) called me into her office to tell me that my IUD is out of place and it's not protecting me from pregnancy. Then proceeds to tell me that when I came in 2023, it was in a lower placement than it was supposed to be but they didn't feel the need to tell me because "it wasn't concerning". It should go without saying that if ANYTHING foreign in the body is even a millimeter "out of place" a patient should be notified. She insisted that now I need to have it taken out and immediately asked me if I'm going to take birth control pills. I said no, played along, and asked her if it's possible for me to have it taken out and another one put back in during the same visit and she said yes. Even mentioning the possibility of using anesthesia during the procedure. I asked her about the PCOS to see what she'd say and she said because my testosterone is elevated (from 2023 - no new bloodwork was done), that means I have it. They had me fill out paperwork to order the new IUD and told me they'd call me when it comes in. When I went home, I booked an appointment with a GYNO. I went today, she checked to see if my IUD is okay, and she said it's perfectly fine. I've been in sales my entire working career. That is what this place feels like. Not healthcare, but sales. They run this place like a mill. From my experience and observations, they're constantly on a hunt to look for ways to make you or your insurance pay for something even if you don't need it. Like taking your car to a mechanic. Having an IUD taken out and put back in is painful and traumatic. The fact that she tried to scare me into doing this is bottom of the barrel shallow and wicked. I was told to go to the Garden City location for my weight loss program follow up. I arrived to the appointment and was told this appointment type is only offered in the Lake Success location. I did not get to see a provider at all. Extremely unprofessional, poor communication. The receptionists need to be trained. I took the time out of my day to attend this appointment as a full time student and employee and was completely turned down and did not get to see a provider. Horrible terrible horrid first experience for my three months here,I don't know where to begin, first full term pregnancy experience and it's just so distasteful, first things first I simply wanted to know if I was pregnant or not, that was what I initially set my appointment for after carefully reviewing and researching other facilities. I chose this facility smh worst mistake of my whole pregnancy, feel like ur a bother and just a charge to ur insurance. The first thing the nurse asked me was if my pregnancy was "desired" ...I didn't know if I was pregnant or not and she is asking me if this is a desired pregnancy, u had to ask her how that was relevant and she said it's procedure. I told her I don't know. Very uncomfortable right there , we get into the room I was given a gown to change to do other procedures. Didn't hear the heart beat because it wasn't recommend by them and that was that. I was then given prenatals which I still to this day cannot see any information about because I have no access to a patient portal they claim they provide when u go here for services. I am yet to be able to sign into the portal they claim I have. Which is where u see appointments lab results and information about the baby u are carrying I have no access to anything. They issued me prenatals and nine of them were covered by my insurance they gave me over the counter ones I had to call the pharmacy and the pharmacist corrected that, also originally they sent my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy, they sent it to a hospital which doesn't have a pharmacy...ita just ridiculous and very hurtful and frustrating. The other time I went to get a check up I had to be adamant to the nurse I don't want her to insert the cervical sonogram in me asni don't find it necessary I was only ten weeks. She was very offended and told me how she went to school for her job. I still refused to do it and she finally eased off. She then did the sonogram over my belly very much with contempt and then left the gel and and told me use the napkin I was wrapped in to wipe myself off , I was never given a gown by her. I am yet to visible see my lab results from I have been going here in January and when I ask they are telling me they can ONLY FAX MY RESULTS. This has become the worst office. I used to see the most amazing provider; Theresa Spruill at the Garden City office but she retired years ago. The only other provider in this entire ginormous practice I recommend is Dr. Culotta. Unfortunately, this entire practice is now a nightmare. It also appears that 90% of the providers that were here about 10 years ago are gone. They completely sold out like most U.S. corporations and now have a customer service line in the Philippines who probably make about five cents an hour if that and know nothing about billing and actually give you misinformation at that trying to tell you procedures are covered when they are not. I had to call my insurance company to find out the mammogram they scheduled me for WAS NOT COVERED without a specific reason and I needed a diagnostic script from a Dr. to have it covered. I then called their customer care line for the 6th time today asking to talk to someone at the New Hyde Park office and they are unable to connect me with anyone there. The customer service line also gives you disconnected numbers for the New Hyde Park office so you can't reach them directly either. What's worst is that they made an appointment with Dr. Culotta for me for July 12th- I show up and they have the audacity to tell me only when I arrive at the appointment that I will be seeing Jennie Nunez instead who I later find out isn't even listed as a provider on their website. Mind you I do not know this provider but when I looked her up, she has a glaringly negative review from a patient specifically requesting anesthesia who Jenny ignored and traumatized. I waited to see Jenny for an hour and after having some time to process this, I decided not to see Jenny and make another appointment with Dr. Culotta for the first available time; July 22nd. I would like to share that this is the most unprofessional and unethical practice I have been to. Its a shame because they spent a lot of money on medical technology and look what I have to go through to see the one good provider they have left. I am updating my review though because of one positive- Jhana the office manager called me back and informed me that she checked and determined that due to my family history, this mammography will be covered and she will personally see to it that I won't be charged for it if it is denied. She was nice and compassionate and if she was the only one I was dealing with, this review would have been more positive. However, as far as medical concerns go, I can't even begin to say how many medical laws and ethics this practice has broken and they don't even care to retain patients or improve. Where do i start? I made an appointment on Zocdoc they send you 85 reminders where you must confirm or you will be charged. . I get to my appointment. The lady tells me I'm sorry you're at the wrong location. I pull out my phone and show her, no I am not, I am at the right location , then she proceeds to say well. We don't have any room today. mind you there is no one in the waiting room. I then lose my cool and tell her. Oh no I will be seeing a doctor today so somehow magically I get to see a doctor. They left me in the exam room for over 30 minutes I'm already hot at this point, they send me to get my blood taken couldn't find my veins. I guess these girls are new? They're not being supervised and she poked me three times. Finally I looked at her and said you need to find someone else to draw my blood. My arms are damn near see-through .I've gone there twice after and each time ive gone their bathrooms are never clean.toilet paper all over the floor, urine Samples left in the bin. I changed the damn toilet paper on the roll because there was none left. There's a gaping hole in the wall thats been there for God knows how long. You get conflicting stories from everyone you speak to you have to ask multiple people about lab results. Tbh i'm not sure how this facility is still open. Run!!! read more

Garden OBGYN is the worst OB/GYN I have ever experienced, and DR. TORRES is a pure nightmare. This practice/office is not only constantly changing their doctors but also the doctors they hire are utterly unexperienced, and absent. The last doctor they have is Dr. Melanie Valentin-Torres who I have seen only once because she cancelled my two appointments within one week, and both was when I was on my way to their office. One of them was today. I had my NIPT on 9/18, and on 9/27 stated on Myriad website that my results should be reviewed by my doctor who is (was) Dr. Melanie Valentin-Torres. I called the office several times since 9/27 to have an appointment to hear about my results with Dr. Torres. I could not reach her for weeks. Please bear in mind this is a very sensitive test where one can find the results of any genetic abnormalities of the fetus, as well as the sex of the baby. Lots of phone calls and still no call from Garden obgyn nor from the doctor. So I called Myriad to ask help. I needed to hear from someone, some professional to tell me the results and review the test. Weeks after, not less than 20 calls for both places, some person on the phone told us the results and the sex. So, since 9/18, Dr. Torres have been absent and haven't seen her face to face therefore she still hasn't review my results. Also, she cancelled my appointments twice in last 7 days, which one was today when I was on my way to their office. Also, my NP Test Part 1 was done on 10/3 and still to this day I still don't know the blood results or the ultrasound test. This place is a total nightmare. I agree with the other reviews, the lobby is filled with patients and waiting time is more than an hour. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I apologize in advance for the long review. I truly, truly can't believe the carelessness of this practice. It's dangerous. I went in on the 10th of January for a routine Pap smear. I've had issues ordering nexplanon with this practice in the past but that was at a different location in Manhattan so I thought I'd try the garden city location out. I loved the physician I saw. She was extremely attentive and made me feel safe. She even had a sonogram done for me same day as I've had some issues with painful periods in the past which ended up being much needed as a fibroid and ovarian cyst were found. She discussed it with me and I felt heard for the first time in a long time. Fast forward to the results. I logged into my patient portal about a week post my testing and found that only my bloodwork results and Pap smear results were in but no STD testing results. I called the clinic and they stated they were just waiting on one more value for the STD testing and that they'd call me when that came in which should be within the next few days. Okay. I waited, called at the end of the week since I had not received a call and was told the exact same thing. During both of these calls I also inquired about the status of my nexplanon order and was just told it takes 2 months. When I asked if they could call the special pharmacy they use and find out the status they said they would yet I've never received a call back. Now, today, this is 19 days post my appointment. Not only have I not received a call from a doctor/physician/etc. regarding my abnormal Pap smear results but I also still don't have the STD testing. I called and was transferred to the lab that told me they can't find my STD results and that they were never ordered. Additionally, I was told that there are no physician notes under my abnormal results meaning no physician has even looked at my record since I came in and has not reviewed any of the results. The lab connects me to the office manager who, while did seem apologetic, told me she's not sure why the lab didn't run the STD testing and that I'd have to come in for another blood draw. The amount of time and energy I've wasted at this clinic is so incredibly disheartening. I work full time and go to school full time and can barely fit in time to eat let alone time to come back in because of their mistake, even though I asked them multiple times what the status was over the course of these last 3 weeks. Please, for your sake and for your health, do not go here. They do not care about you or your health. Truthfully, this place should be shut down due to negligence. They only get two stars because the girls behind the desk are really sweet. This place is a damn factory. I have never seen the same NP twice, and every time I go I have to reexplain my entire medical history instead of having them just open up my damn chart and use their eyeballs. The final straw was when I made an appointment for an IUD. They told me to come back in two weeks to take swabs. I got to that appointment and they said oh we didn't realize you needed swabs today, just fill out the paperwork, so I paid $40 to sign a piece of paper. I went back 2 weeks later for the swabs after fighting with them to not bill me for a pap (which I had done already) because my insurance wouldn't cover it 2x in one year. After this appointment they said they needed to book me with an MD because of the position of my cervix, and MDs are few and far between there, so finding an appointment with one was not an easy feat. I showed up today and the receptionist looked horrified, "no one called you? Dr. Yassa is out today, he is getting married." WTF?!?! You can't even make this up! I get chills thinking about my experience with this office! I would not recommend this place to my WORST enemy -- this place is just that bad! Booking was seamless -- you are able to book thru zocdocs.com which is very very convenient. Someone called me to confirm the appt -- I made sure to confirm that I will be seeing a MEDICAL doctor and not a midlevel provider. I was assured that I will see the "doctor". I arrive about 30 mins before my appt to complete paperwork and the waiting room is PACKED -- like standing room only! A lot of the people in the waiting room were not patients -- but family members/friends/kids of patients etc. Checking in was seamless-- you complete your paperwork on an ipad. About 20 mins later, I was called to the back. The examination room was dated and dirty. I felt like I was in a time warp circa 1980s. The medical assistant takes a brief history and instructs me to change. I wait in the room for about another 30 mins before someone comes. The medical staff asks if I was seen yet and I told her no. At this point, I was annoyed because of the disorganization. Eventually a provider comes into the room and calls me "darling". Pet names in a businesslike setting is a pet peeve. The provider barely introduces herself and starts the exam. We briefly talk about my condition and past medical history. Eventually I realize, the provider is a PA and not a medical doctor. I ask if I will be seen by the doc as well and I was informed that the doctor was not in the building and left early this afternoon -- WTF -- at this point I was livvid. I asked several other questions and the PA was not able to answer them. Honestly, the PA was a sweet girl. I can tell she was a recent graduate and probably felt overwhelmed (sigh). I go on to ultrasound. The tech calls me "darling" as well. What is it with pet names???? After ultrasound I go to a consultation room this room was VERY horrendous looking as well. The PA goes over some preliminary findings and tells me that she wants me to come back every 72 hours for monitoring. WTF?????? So I had to chime in and tell the PA -- I am a midlevel provider as well (Resident Physician) and I feel like this is not the standard of care. Anywho -- I was soooooooo disgusted with this place. I could not get out of there fast enough. While checking out, I was asked if I will make a follow-up appointment and I blurted out, "I will seek care elsewhere. I am so disappointed with this medical facility". How this medical practice is still open and functioning and seeing patients is BEYOND me. I highly DO not recommend this place. read more
