No matter how many questions I had (and trust me, I had a lot ), he always took the time to answer them thoroughly and never made me feel rushed. There were moments when I felt worried or even a little paranoid, but Dr. Vu always knew how to put me at ease. His calm and reassuring approach made such a difference, and it gave me complete confidence throughout the entire process. I trusted him fully with my care, and that peace of mind is priceless. Now that I'm done having kids, I'm just so grateful that I chose Dr. Vu to be my OBGYN. I wouldn't change a single thing about my experience. EVERYTHING about my experience with Dr Vu was amazing, My baby boy is healthy and strong. He knew it was a boy right away and i didn't want to believe him and he sent me out to find out and he was very correct! He's Very patient with children when they come to visits. He caught my Gestational Diabetes right in time and from that day on i felt like i was in great hands! My delivery was so quick he told me the time my son would come and he was correct! Due to lack of choices given with medi-cal in this region and good on reviews I decided to come here. Initial visits were ok, he told jokes but visits were extremely rushed. He would rarely give any of my appointments more then 10 minutes. Also he wouldn't ever explain my results in a way I could understand. Felt very transactional, ESPECIALLY when coming into the 3rd trimester. 3rd trimester visits were literally a walk in for vitals and a walk out I'll see you next time. I'm sure no matter how long the visit is the payout for them will be the same and at this point I felt like another number to him. The assistants are a hit or miss. One was extremely sweet but wasn't enough to hold up the rest of the team. Pros- right across from the hospital -parking behind his office so u don't have to pay - allows you to record ultrasound Cons- there's always a student here taking vitals and or watching so expect to see a different face each visit before seeing Dr. Vu - visits are rushed and normally under 10 mins (half the time waiting in the room after vitals) - assistants are rude and won't listen - Vu doesn't explain anything well - complaints aren't taking seriously - 3rd trimester visits are a joke (he said they would then only look at the baby once during this time and just measure the stomach because of cost of running the machine sounded like bs to me) - expect to have no say or wiggle room with your birth plan as he feels like he knows best. - they take lunch inside and open their doors after when they feel like it. I made a complaint with insurance against them. Of course they replied with a false statement. It was a heated argument with an assistant who made a decision for me based on emotions. Being so far along I'm deciding to choose peace and just leave it alone but share my review for other future parents. If you can avoid here I would. read more

Experienced ob yes but that's what makes this doctor very greedy. He knows he makes more money doing cosmetic procedures. So anything that the doctor would do after your birth delivery, he won't do. I had my first prenatal appointment here after having an awful visit at another clinic. What a difference! Clean, spacious, air-conditioned waiting room complete with two T.V.s and plenty of reading material. My husband and I were called in only a few minutes past our scheduled appointment time, and the nurses were pleasant. The receptionist at the time of my appointment wasn't very personable, sort of rushed through instructions, and didn't show much interest in answering questions. That is probably my only complaint. Everyone else was very friendly. Dr. Vu came into the room a short time after we were called, and was very kind. Eye-contact, smiled, and shook my husband's and my hand while introducing himself. If you think this is typical, HA, you'd be surprised how aloof and uninterested some OB/GYN's are! So, we really appreciated that. He was also very informative, walked us through every procedure, and he took his time. I loved that I didn't feel rushed or awkward when I had a question. I also appreciate that he made an effort to get us a good ultrasound picture because a lot of doctors just print whatever blurry frame and send you on your way. It took me 3 tries to find an OB I like, and I will definitely be sticking with Dr. Vu! I am so relieved I'm not stuck with a jerk for the rest of my pregnancy, lol. A few notes: - Come to your appointment 15-20 minutes early to fill out their new patient forms (a packet), - bring proof of pregnancy. I wasn't told on the phone what documents I needed to bring, so that was slightly aggravating, - it looks like all of the parking spaces are unavailable, but go ahead and park. All you need to do is let the receptionist know you have an appointment, and your car will not be towed. All the signs are just meant to ward off people using the lot to park when they don't intend on actually visiting the clinic. read more

Dr. Vu is an amazing Dr. He literally puts all his patients 1st. Dr. Vi knows all his patients by face n name. He builds a good relationship with all of his patients. The office is extremely friendly making an appointment is so easy and whenever you have a concern they will get you in ASAP so you can have peace of mind. The office is very clean. If someone gives bad reviews it's because they just didn't get what they wanted. I mean you have to understand each n every office has policies and rules and every office has certain ways things are handled. I saw Dr. Vu for post-menopausal bleeding. He did a full exam, then ultra sounds and then a hysteroscopy/D&C based on his exam and the ultrasounds. The procedure under general anesthesia (the only way to go!) was painless. No spotting or pain after the procedure; didn't need the Ibuprofen recommended for pain and could have gone back to work the next day (surgeries on Fri. to give a few days to recover). Dr. Vu will also speak to you on the phone if you have concerns; can't say that about many doctors. He is generous with his time and trains medical students grateful for his tutelage. Dr. Vu's office staff is friendly, know you by name when you call/walk in and Josephine gets insurance approval post haste. Yes, if you need your baby circumcised it costs $300. It's a cosmetic procedure that is often not covered by insurance or for which a doctor is poorly compensated by insurance. Want to avoid the Lodi/Stockton/Manteca monopoly? See Dr. Vu. I am so grateful he takes my insurance plan. P.S. He has his own parking lot right behind his building; no need pay $3 next door or park on the street. After having few miscarriage I switch my doctors I use to see one of the gills and decided to take Dr Vu as my ob gyn. I was 4 weeks pregnant when I started seeing Dr Vu. I was place on bed rest and on progesterone. I had appt with him every week. He use to do sonogram pretty much every appt so I can be comfortable knowing my baby had a heart beat. It's amazing to know there are ppl like him who cares! I carried my rainbow baby till 33 weeks. I started having high BP and had a emergency c section by him. My baby is now 9month old his tiny but healthy and strong already holding and walking doing what his suppose to do. I'm just bless to meet Dr Vu. Glad I've finally changed my obstetrician making the right choice! My first visit with Dr. Vu was last Thursday. He's a good OB!! Also, extremely helpful and polite. All your questions will be answered thoroughly. You don't have to worry about getting rushed out of the room. The employees are also kind. His office is neat and clean. My cousin referred me after conversing on how my first ob always took over two hours after each set appointment. It was super tiring having to wait that long just for being in the exam room for less than 10 mins. Everyone always rushed! Anyway, I won't point out names! Heard great things about this OB and based on the reviews, I was excited to see Dr. Vu for my prenatal care. He probably is wonderful, but his receptionist staff is garbage. I inquired about a specific payment form, which the receptionist confirmed that they accept. However, she was adament about telling me "we can't help you", (which she repeated multiple times) all because she needed to verify that the insurance I was going to be applying for would be accepted at Dr. Vu's office. Because of the fact that I still have 4 months to choose a carrier, I'm still shopping around so I wasn't 100% sure. I asked her "well can you tell me which insurances you do accept?" she said "we accept a lot, but none of the ones you've named". It was very rude and unhelpful. When your pregnant you want a kind, nuturing enviornment -- far from what I experienced with the staff on this day. Let's say they do take the insurance I chose in a few months, yes that means they can continue my care after I pay cash for the first few months but by no means does it mean i'm contractually binded to the office. I still have the right to switch OB's so it shouldn't matter what I'm going to apply for several months ahead. Also, what if I have an unexpected change of employment or health insurance plan (which they end up not accepting), how can that be accounted for 4 months in advance? I was referred to Dr Vu by a Worker at the WIC office and I'm glad I choose him. Dr vu is caring, respectful and has good sense of humor. He doesn't pile up allot of people at one time so every time I went in for my appointments there was only about 2 people there I was in and out in no time. The receptionist are nice not like other places where they act like they hate their jobs. I recently had my daughter 6/23/16 the hospital called him to let him know I was in labor he did a great job keeping me comfortable and everything ran smoothly. I love the experience I have had with Dr. Vu and his office staff! I have high praise for Dr. Vu. He has been professional, competent and caring with me and my significant other throughout the multiple surgical procedures I have had done in the office and the hospital. He explains in detail (even draws out) the situation and takes time for patient teaching. Dr. Vu is one of the sweetest, kindest physicians - it's hard to find a surgeon that has personality with their bedside manner along with decades of skillful experience. I would recommend Dr. Vu to any woman. He always walks in with a smile, eye contact, and shakes my hand. He is one of the most friendliest doctor I have ever met and always seemed like he really cared about me as a person not just a patient. Never coming back here again, the staff Dr Vu hired lack professionalism and experience. The girl who claim she is the office manager has no medical experience what so ever. She was very inconsiderate and was extremely rude. She had me filled out all the paper work to tell me i had to reschedule my appointment due to having double coverage. I explain the person who booked my appointment never once asked me about my insurance and should have verify that before the patients appointment. Her response was they pull insurance during time of the visit, which makes no sense. I told her I work in the medical field, m-f and had taken today off for the visit. She obviously didn't care and told me I had to come back. It was a waste of my time. Let me start of by saying my wife and I had 3 kids by Dr Vu and we planned on having him assist in birthing our fourth. We had an appointment today and we drove all the way from Tracy to go to Dr Vu's office and when we arrived the 'office manager' told us because we have double coverage they would not be able to assist us??? WTF??? That makes no sense. We asked why would you have pulled our insurance prior to us coming all the way to Stockton to tell us this information. Her response was they don't pull insurance until the patient arrives. This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard especially being I'm a multi unit manager in a medical field. This is the exact opposite of what your supposed to do. At this point we attempted to ask to talk Dr Vu assuming since he knows my wife pretty well being he was the doctor to deliver 3 of our previous kids. But no, he refused to come out the back and speak to us. We are super disappointed with the lack of service we have received by this whole office. Dr. Vu delivered a baby of mine once before and I'm back again with my second pregnancy. He is a amazing doctor that truly CARES about his patients and goes over and beyond to take care of us. I've never had a issue with his staff, everyone is welcoming and very nice. My appointments are never prolonged unless Dr. Vu is next door delivering a baby (which is understandable). I drive over 30 minutes to get my prenatal care from him because i trust him so much, I'll never have another doctor deliver any of my kids! I gave birth 6 days ago and the experienced I had VBAC was challenging and I did it. Dr. Vu is an amazing OB doc to be seen. I highly recommend to all pregnant woman to go to Dr. Vu; he's very nice and caring by making sure your baby is developed healthy. My only encounter with this doctor showed that he is unethical. He performed a procedure on my son when he was born, and charged me upfront in cash for it. He refused to bill my insurance company. When my insurance company contacted him to reimburse me and send the bill to them, he denied doing the procedure at all. Will never use him for anything again! read more

A Doctor that worked in same office as Dr. Vu was supposed to deliver my daughter ,So happy that she didn't and Dr. Vu did ,I had my 2 nd child in 2006 3rd in 2009 and 4 th in 2010. Dr. Vu delivered 3 of my children , Had I know about him when having my son . He would've definitely been my Doctor Then too!!!. I was able to pick Hospital's which I love Dameron , He always gave me a spacious room and the day which he was going to deliver. I recommend Dr. Vu to anyone looking for a GREAT OB/GYN .
