I can't say enough good things about my experience with Mr. Barnes. Needed a quick patch job done on my mature wooden fence & he came thru just in time. Extremely disappointing experience. After several calls and texts as I am an out of state owner to have George go look at a property I have in Ybor to do some work he agreed to go take a look and possibly do the work. Days go by with me calling texting leaving voicemails to have him not even respond once. I was relying on yelp and his good reviews to find a decent handyman in Tampa, I am still left looking as apparently it is difficult to find good workers in Florida, this goes for George as well unfortunately. Had he simply returned a phone call or a text saying that he was unable or unwilling to do the work I would be fine but for some reason he couldn't even do that. He left me thinking he was doing the work and just not responding because he was too busy. I do not recommend him he is unresponsive and Not reliable. Update due to owners response. You are lying about me telling you materials were there as well as you responding back to me, both are untrue. You never responded back to me and being in another state you as a business owner should be better about responding to your clients. I stand by my review but hope you have gotten better about responding to potential clients. However your response to this review more then 6 months later shows that's probably not the case. read more

Called George off of my handy Yelp app and he didn't disappoint. I needed someone to install 2 appliances in a home. He showed up, gave a reasonable quote and did the work. Without me having to show up and meet him. He is even going to comeback and finish installing the dishwasher( delivered with a dent and waiting for he part)which he kindly put in the cabinet so that the house would be show ready. Will be keeping his number handy for future needs. Always good to have a reliable handyman on hand. They are hard to come by! read more

Very strange.... George came by my home to quote a price for a small job. We agree on his price which I thought was fair, we then agreed upon a date that he would come back and complete the job at which time I told him that I would buy the materials needed for the job. Several days later he sent a list of the materials that were needed so I you went to Home Depot and purchased what was on the list. When the day came for him to arrive and complete the job.... He never showed, never called, changed his voice mail, and did not return any of my calls or texts. RADIO SILENCE! VERY SAD! Stay away very unreliable! read more
