It's a teaching clinic and you are helping the students refine their craft. The students in my experience are lovely people. The Neutral: The students are refining their craft - they may not know to elevate your head just a bit if you're having trouble with the water jet cleaning tool. The Bad: The administration. They allow patients NO agency as to their own care. You either accept their treatment regimen, or you're out the door. This means LOTS of xrays. Unwarranted head xrays aren't my idea of a good time, so I'm no longer a patient. If they're worried about liability around not having xrays, why don't they have the patient sign a waiver?

The positives of the school are the small class sizes and the feeling that your child is being…read morenurtured. The bad? The students are repressed-they're so scared of disciplinary action against them that they are timid and withdrawn in the classroom, for fear of lunch detention, suspension, or expulsion. In our case, we experienced all three...can you imagine sending your child to a school that expels children on a regular basis?? It happens here. Every year. In the grade we were in, we knew of three children that were expelled in that year... When there are 40 kids in that grade, and three are expelled, that is a serious and crazy rate. It really hurts the kids, their self-esteem, to think that they're not worthy of being there. There is definitely racism, bias, and preferential treatment. If you do get into trouble, there is no room for talking through said things- they decide and that's it. As an aside, the uniforms are awfully ugly. The principal is extremely strict. If you like a school ruled by authoritarianism and emotion (vice principal's mode of action) then this is the school for your child.

Then, we began to inquire further around preschool policies, such as discipline and toilet independence. In retrospect, we should have dug deeper much earlier on in the process. The director of the preschool explained the toilet independence expectation, and here is a direct quote from the email we received: "Potty Training, We are completely hands off for any potty training assistance. I would take time before fall to work on wiping to grow this skill as we at school are unable to help. Regarding potty accidents that happen when asleep, we encourage working on this over summer. We do a potty break right before nap to ensure we do not have potty accidents when sleeping, however other than the occasional accident, students should be able to sleep without an accident. With that said if he does have an accident he will need to change his clothes 100% on his own." This policy is rigid and developmentally inappropriate for the age of three. Anyone with an early childhood background would immediately agree. Perhaps there was an incident that occurred at the school that caused them to become so rigid with this policy? It is not a common policy across programs in this area for this age. Before you enroll, make sure to ask about this and their discipline policy, to ensure your toddler is safe and supported both academically and psychologically at this tender age.

There is plenty of U of O signage that let you know they are coming soon. This is sure to transform the community prayerfully in a positive way. The community is expecting soon of the opening of the campus we're imagining fall 2023, 2024. I'll keep you posted on there progress.

This complex merges parts of 3 historic buildings: the Bickel Block, the Skidmore Block, and the White Stag and Hirsch-Weiss. There's a lot of history within, around, and underneath. I recently wandered around (and hung out) at this lovingly restored complex, and I can confirm that this place is all that it's quacked up to be! It "almost" makes me wish that I went to school here. The Mother Ship campus in 110 miles south in Eugene, so this place is the real deal for Rose City Residents that want a first class education at a world class University. And so says this proud alum from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!), Texas A&M (Gig Em Aggies!), and UC Berkeley (Go Bears!).

Coming from the tech side, they push the boundaries in a lot of areas. They are now moving to become more of a R&D school and can't wait to see where that goes. Originally I thought it would be great to learn how much federal Pell Grant money I might receive…read moretowards an education because I figured my situation was ideal, since I would expect to "gross" just around 20k this year, and hadn't ever borrowed, nor was granted anything from the Feds or anyone before. The most ideal people will be granted up to $5,500 toward their tuition. When I entered my info into the F.A.F.S.A... I learned that I wasn't eligible for as much as I thought; I was eligible for nothing... $0. This is because they based my financial status off my tax returns from the previous year, even though it had nothing to do with the reality of today, and is the most I've made to date in a calendar year.. Once you take the federal loans out of approx. a $17,500 total course cost (which after 7/1/12 will sky rocket to 6-9% interest for each type)... it came out to about $8,500 left over that would need to be accounted for in order to go ahead with schOoL at all. This part would also have to be paid off with in the standard course time, which is a year (in Everest's case). This means that my monthly payments to Everest would be nearly $700 a month, and is almost what my monthly rent is. They said they would do this thing called "a professional judgement", which they're supposed to take exacting, current info. of yours to make light on what the facts are, but matters not... I couldn't have broke it down for them any clearer and in writing (via bank statements, invoices, E-mails, hand written full page letter, etc.), but found I was repeating myself over and over. Then ultimately, after more than a months time... their corporate office apparently sent the financial department back their judgement stating in around 10 words that my monthly income is about exactly that as the previous year. Am I missing something here? They really are just a joke..Everest people just don't communicate either, Pioneer to for that matter. They say one thing and completely do another. It doesn't matter how proactive you are, be it the admissions, financial department... matters not. I thought this was really unusual considering how much these trade schOoLs bombard us with this relentless onslaught of commercials. Pioneer is even worse. It's not only a smaller schOoL, but cost about $1,000 more for the same program, and on top of that... they want you to fork over $50 just to take that of what resembles a placement test. But they say they will refund it if you pass, yet the standards are set so low... you would pretty much have to have down syndrome or something not to. In my case... I wouldn't even be able to get my foOt in the doOr, to just talk with financial aid, and what will ultimately be the same out come listed above. So in this way... they charge you $50 for their time, and that's all you may get out of them. All in all... you would be a lot better off with these programs if A: You're female, B: You just came off the street, C: You just got some kind of employment (we'll say at Taco Bell), and D: You're living somewhere that is otherwise rent free, or has extremely low over head. Otherwise I wouldn't even bother. :O/

This is not an ideal school to attend. you spend too much money for a job that will not pay you…read moremuch out the door. This is directed at their Medical Insurance Billing and Coding program. it is over 16 thousand to take a seven month program, and at the end you must do a 5 week unpaid internship program before you can graduate. The MIBC teacher does not seem structured at all with her teaching, and wastes too much time making jokes and playing videos off youtube during class rather than teaching. The administrators also state that they will set up your internship for you, and get you a job at the end of the program...if you respond to their voicemails within five minutes. They seem to just give up and blame you for the reason that you do not get a job, rather than actually set up interviews for you. Pros: None Cons: Expensive for short program. Unstructured courses. Rude, unknowledgeable teacher and administration. Way too much class time is wasted. I would highly recommend looking at a different school for this type of education, or attend a regular college to achieve your certification, or degree.

I showed up excited for football, about football and in love with football, I left that camp totally disinterested in football. I never could quite get back into it either. You could almost say my experience there ruined football for me. Correction, that camp coupled with being a Bears fan ruined football for me. Now, some serious positive notes, they were very well organized. The actual players from their football team seemed like decent guys (the little I interacted with them). Their kitchen staff was awesome. I can recall having some of the best and biggest meals of my life in that place. All-in-all, I can honestly say that even with everything I said up-fromt, there were a few genuinely good experiences, which is why this review is not as bad as it could be. What I look back in with joy was great. Also, the campus is quite lovely, out of the way, with acres up In acres of very lovely country.
