I recently had a health scare and trusted this office to handle it with dignity and grace, seeing as I have been seeing them for more than thirty years. Unfortunately Dr. Scott and his team were rude, condescending, and dismissive throughout the entire process. I received immense pushback on even the simplest questions about the process and diagnosis, his office staff were downright hostile throughout the scheduling process, and they failed to send orders in a timely fashion. Dr. Scott clearly knew that this was wrong, because he half apologized during one of my followup appointments (however he took great joy in derailing his "apology" by waving my file around and telling me that he was right all along). I have no clue what has changed in that office, but his priority was very clearly to make me feel afraid for my health rather than making a rational plan for treatment. I will absolutely never set foot in this office again, which is a shame considering that he has been my doctor for more than half my life. I told staff and dr Scott I was scared about having a positive pregnancy test with bleeding . He made sure to not give any sympathy. He said he would not do sonogram and will do it with his hands I was told with my period date i would be 7 weeks he stuck his hands in me and told me "yeah this isn't a good one , your probably right" (about having a miscarriage) "I'd say it's at least 4 weeks if anything" . While he was in the middle of telling me about his patient with 4 c sections and how he "was barely able to put her back together". I obviously went to a different obgyn the following day and my baby is 7w6d 151bpm . Total jerk! Don't recommend. read more

I needed to find a new OBGYN after the doctor I had been seeing for years stopped practicing. Dr Scott was highly recommended to me by a few people. I was skeptical after reading some of the yelp reviews but ended up scheduling my annual with him because they insisted he's the best. I am very glad I didn't listen to some of the reviews on yelp. In the beginning I thought he was good and was understanding and listen to me . I first saw him in 2019 for my annual and for my Perimenopausal symptoms had my pap etc . First time ever pap came back abnormal so I had an in office ultrasound was told I fell right at the cut off range nothing to worry about. Continue to go for my annuals 2020 and at that time when the assistant was going over my notes and mentioned she didn't even know why I had that ultrasound done like it wasn't necessary . On that same visit doc check me out and ask me how my sex life is and if I need anything for it ? I told him I was fine . Fast forward it is now 2021 I come to see him for my usual bleeding problem I been having . He asks me if I need anything for my sex drive . Nope ! Than says to me I can take birth control to help stop bleeding while knowing I have a higher risk for breast cancer and had allergic reaction to it 20 + years ago..Sure I say why the f**k not. So I try it for a month but got scared so I stop ... and decided I didn't want to go go back to him. Found new doctor I got diagnosed with endometrioid carcinoma of the endometrium.. So thanks Dr Scott you should have retired years ago. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Scott and all his staff there. I have been going to him for 10+ years. He's always made me feel comfortable and he's extremely knowledgeable. He's been my dr thru all of my infertility. Well I finally conceived my miracle baby and he made sure my daughter and I were taken care of. At once point during my pregnancy I started bleeding bad. I called his office because I thought I was miscarrying. He had me come straight into the office and did an ultrasound. She was the and no miscarriage. I'm truly grateful for him and all his staff; Debbie, Trisha, Stephanie. Seriously ALL of them. They're like another family. Was reading the comments for Dr Scott and it seems I've been going to the wrong office for years. I've been going to his office for 20yrs. he delivered two of my babies and wished he had done the third although that doctor was very nice as well. Your annual check up is pretty much to the point. But I've dealt with a lot of issues with 2/4 of my pregnancies. The first was the worst thing I could've imagined. I had HELP syndrome which I had never even heard about. I had a previous Dr (insurance issues) before transferring back to Dr Scott. And that Dr was horrible in my opinion. He didn't even do the necessary tests to detect my preeclampsia. As soon as I transferred he gave me the test and I was positive with the protein. A few days later I gave birth via emergency c-sec. it could've been caught on time and have been monitored if the previous Dr had done was needed. I felt very comfortable in his hands even under the circumstances. With my second pregnancy he immediately sent me to a specialist due to my previous condition from my first pregnancy. Insurance again wanted to send me with the previous Dr and again I just did one visit and transferred back. There really is no obgyn and nice, caring, thoughtful, respectful or professional as Dr Scott. I always check what he does hygiene wise. Former Nurse student here. And he has never touched anything else without washing his hands. He comes into the room, gets on the computer, washes his hands, does your check up, washes his hands again, then gets on the computer to do his write up. The nurses are supper nice and have been the same for many years. Debbie has a firm voice but is not has never been rude or uncaring. I've been with Dr Scott since I was 16 and have gone thru a few different obgyns/nurse practitioners thru out that time thanks to insurance but have always come back ASAP. Haven't found anyone else like him, although a female nurse I had was really close. read more

Complete sexist here. Told me I was to old to not have ever had sex (in front of my mother) and I'm a virgin. I was trying to get diagnosed for endometriosis and told him my pain was getting debilitating every month. He said unless I told him I had painful sex he wouldn't be able to diagnose me. So I got the pill like every gynecologist before him prescribed me.. (it's like the magic antibiotic now isn't it?) Well, even with the pill the pain was debilitating and he obviously would not listen to me. 4 months later I went to Dr. Nezhat in Palo Alto. He looked at me and found endometriosis within 5 minutes of analyzing me. He is putting me under for excision surgery in 7 days and obviously knew what he was doing. Dr. George Scott on the other hand doesn't have a clue, is a sexist bigot and judges you for having the gall to be a virgin at 24 (OMG what a f***in crime). Anyways, if you have gotten this far I hope I have convinced you this dude is not worth the time of day to visit. I have not been as embarrassed in a doctor's office as I was with Dr. George Scott. Some doctors listen and care and get you treatment (ex: Dr. Nezhat) while some doctors accuse, don't do shit and make you embarrassed of yourself (i.e. Dr. Scott) . I will avoid this place like the plague. So sad that a friend of mine indicated this place was the place to go since it's such shit. read more

So i have been seeing dr.scott for 4 years now. He's good for when you do your annual check ups but I am pregnant and i started seeing him for the pregnancy. I started to spot for over a week long with really bad cramping, he told me it was because i had sex During my pregnancy, but i had not had sex around that time. I also was supposed to get a Rh negative shot because i have the Rh negative blood type and he never gave it to me. And worst of all he would go sit at his computer and type on his keyboard and touch his mouse then come touch me with out washing/sanitizing his hands in some way. Not to sound like a germ freak or anything but that's really gross because what else has he touched and now he's touching me with it. I'm going to be very blunt and frank about this review, and how welp pretty much I waisted a shit tone of money for nothing. Now personality wise I am a very very good judge of character, and I felt off putted by my over all visit. During the exam he was a little too rough with me I gave him a look and even told him it hurt and he continued to examine it was odd because he was smiling about it. Then there was also a brief period of time when the female assistant just up and left the room. Lemme just tell you this was the first time I was examined by a male doctor, and never again will I do this. he had also misdiagnosed my pms for endometriosis and instead of making sure that I actually had it. He actually just prescribed a shit ton of antibiotics, and charged me out the ass for all those blood tests. When I went back for the results he said they were inconclusive, and then I tried going in for a second visit. I was rudely interrupted and informed that he no longer takes non pregnant patients, and patients who have health insurance. ( HHHHMMMM.... all this time I was believing that all my problems were being solved, my infertility would be cured and now look at me. I went to Dr. Scott because he advertises as fertility here on yelp. I was so excited to find a doctor who did fertility in Manteca. Our copayments were high but we were so happy to be getting the help we needed, or so we thought. Our consultation went okay, he basically asked a lot of questions which were in the paperwork we provided and told us to get a bunch of tests done, all of which we had to go to different doctors to get done. The second time we came in (with all the test results) he asked all the same questions, did not remember is and had the nurse look up some information on one of the hormone levels since he was not sure what it meant. I went home and was online all day trying to find the answers. I wanted several hundred dollars on this "fertility doctor", if you need help getting pregnant, go to a reproductive endocrinologist (re), but not Dr. Scott. read more

Competent and compassionate doctor! My wife was suffering from heavy hemorrhaging for 2 months and no other obgyn was able to help her. Dr Scott's office took us in right away. Dr Scott sat down and spent at least 2 hours with us. He kept taking detailed notes, informed us about all our options, looked at her entire medical history and suggested better medication. My wife stopped bleeding within a day- i kid you not! I could not believe what i saw. In our whole life we have never met a more involved, compassionate and at the same time intelligent doctor. Came down with flu morning of my afternoon appt.woke up very sick.I called said i think i should reschedule as i know there are alot of preg women there i would feel awful passing this along to others.ER is full of people getting antibiotics and prednisone to blast all of the mucus from thier fluid filled lungs its a respiritory infection type flu keeping peple sick up to a month.office staff says come in anyway since its not 24 hr notice or they will never allow me in the office again find a new doctor.Whhhaaaattt???? I say maam i am a christian trying to do the right thing and not get anyone sick.She said i cannot come there again if i dont show for appt.I explain i couldnt tell you 24 hrs in advance as i wasnt sick 24 hrs ago.wasnt sick until i woke up this morning sick.This office staff is crazy valueing the money over patient safety and im personally blessed i cannot go here again......thank you lord.Not to mention they were so rude and mean to me on the phone,i was still respectful the entire time not to stoop to thier level. read more

I called Dr. Scott's office today as a potential new patient, not knowing anything about him. The girl answering the phone sold me! I am on disability and have had endometriosis in my past, the end result being a complete hysterectomy. I never knew I had to be re-checked since the doctor I was seeing never mentioned it, even though I've been having mysterious bleeding now and then. Doctor Scott came highly recommended to me! But buyer beware! I had a horrible experience with him and especially his staff! First, their scheduling is a complete joke! I always waited an hour or two for my apt! Next, the receptionists are just rude and heartless... Dr,Scott is very dry. But, i didnt mind because i figured as along as he is great a delivering, i didnt care about much else (Because i had a low risk pregnancy!). His ultrasound is ancient! Because he plans on retiring soon, he wont buy a new one... He couldn't tell the sex of my baby and said it was because my belly button was in the way! what a joke! Then, at the end he never checks your dilation! He only checked me three times when I was at the hospital! He preferred the nurses to! I know he hates that part! Which is odd for an OBGYN..... Then he had me induced. When i went in and told the nurses why he said i should be induced, with out skipping a beat, they said "Oh you have Dr. Scott"! lmao! He told me i would tear my perineum so horribly that i would never be able to hold a poop again, because I was expecting a 10lb baby.. Well he said i was expecting a 10lb baby, my son was born 8lbs! Wow was he off, again!!! Then, I got all the way to 10cm and he wanted to C-section me! Luckily i had an amazing nurse who in my opinion saved my life! My family means the world to me, and now that i am able to have more children, i am very grateful to that Nurse! (Debbie at manteca Doctors hospital!) And, get this! Prior to my delivery... He did the SAME thing to my friend! Had her get all the way to 10cm and riped her open! Thats such crap in my eyes! The nurses tried defending him, explaining hes a surgeon and its his job to prevent further "issues".... I personally think he hates women... Unless you want a c-secction, a cold surgeon of a doctor, rude receptionists, that dont care about you or your time, and ancient equipment that is not accurate, I would never go to him again! read more
