I'd go weeks without any communication on what was going on, but then all of a sudden they needed me to sign something and it was like the world should stop for them. At one point I was not certain that I would accept the terms of the sale and received very nasty emails from people that worked for her including telling me the other party would sue me if I backed out. It was very evident that they could care less about what was important to me or that it was a good deal for me, they wanted their commission check.

We had a particular question about building a pool in the backyard that she said she would get back to us on, but she did not. Not a big deal though. We ended up purchasing the home. When escrow closed and we went to move in, the sellers movers had damaged parts of the floor and other areas, but what was the most shocking was that the bookcases in the office that were advertised as built-ins by Ms. French were gone! When we contacted her about this she said it was a misunderstanding between her and her seller. Ok, those things can happen, but they certainly weren't our fault, so Ms. French or her sellers should have either put the bookcases back in, since the flyers specifically stated the bookcases were built into the office or compensate us for new bookcases. She refused. I even found bookcases that were not as nice at Costco and offered to take those instead, if they didn't want to reinstall the "built-ins." She still refused. Eventually, after much back and forth, Ms. French offered to spilt the cost of them. This is totally unacceptable. This greedy woman made a $36,750 commission on this sale, but was haggling over approximately an $850 issue. We didn't ask for anything else from the seller during escrow except for some extremely minor repairs that cost about $400. This extreme greed really showed me her true character. I will never do business with her again and I make sure any friends in Clayton that are considering using her know about this experience. There are many real estate agents that specialize in Clayton, why settle for someone who is so greedy and short-sighted?

He does not respect you or any reasonable parameters. If you're selling your home, have current tenants who you'd like to see even vaguely comfortable and cooperative, look elsewhere. At first, i was willing to work with him on a cordial and helpful level, but he's broken my trust. When i was at work and saw my security cameras recording his clients breaking into my back yard, his response was, "I'm not responsible for other people's behavior." He gives my neighbor less than an hour's notice that he'll be showing their home. They had to run out of church a couple weeks back so they could get their valuables out of the house. I've told him repeatedly he needs to give me 24 hours notice, and his response when giving me less is always "You never told me that." I've told him that at least five times. Last week i only had one day off and he insisted on showing the house for an unscheduled Open House. He offered to buy me movie tickets to get me out of my home, but having broken my trust, i'm not allowing the place to be shown without me in the house, and i've told him this. (Note that he didn't offer tickets to Giselle.) He showed up hours late, so i wasted my entire morning and part of the afternoon, sitting around waiting for him to show up. I will say this for him, after grousing about having to repeatedly clean my floors and having people irritated about wearing masks, he finally brought masks and foot covers. (This is the one and only considerate thing he's done.) He may have to disclose whether or not someone died in the house, but he's definitely not mentioning that he's helping create another homeless veteran, and plaguing me with last minute showings. He's disrespectful and tries to gaslight me. I just had to cancel a second doctor's appointment so i could be home for a showing in the middle of the day, with less than 24 hours' notice. My neighbors and i are beyond stressed and he's making it almost impossible to look like a good, potential tenant, despite the bit where i take excellent care of this home and always pay my rent on time. The only break i've had was when i came down with Covid, but he needed the house ready to show a couple days after i finally tested negative and was still recovering so i had to spend every recovery moment getting the house ready. If you're selling your home and want your tenant to be cooperative and feel even vaguely respected, you might want to consider almost anyone else. He's treated myself and my neighbor with complete disregard, and still we make sure our homes are in top shape for the showings. If you have a tenant with less patience, you might not be so lucky.
