A good friend of mine recommended George's Barbershop. I normally hate barbershops, and haircuts in general because no one can get my cut right. Coming to this barbershop today changed that all together. I received a haircut from George the owner and he cut my hair perfectly. In fact, he exceeded my expectations and took my vision of what I wanted to a whole new level. I came in wanting a "Peaky Blinders" haircut, from the Netflix hit show and he listened to every word I said concerning the style I wanted. While my hair was being cut, George engaged me in a awesome conversation spanning from family to travels. Every minute in that chair I felt I was hanging with an old friend talking it up, and before I knew it, George said he was done. George gave me a mirror and I viewed the masterpiece displayed above my head. Peaky Blinders look achieved. I recommend this place, especially the owner George to cut your hair. In Yuma on Business, I looked up reviews and George's seemed good. I would say GREAT. I lost the hair on the top of my head 15-20 years ago. I still had side and back of the head hair. Someone suggested I get it shaved and waxed. Well I told George (yes there were maybe 5 barbers in the place and by luck I got the owner) I wanted to try having it all shaved and he went right to work, including hot towel and the works. I'm usually not very chatty, but George and I had a good get acquainted chat. There were perhaps 7 or 8 people ahead of me, but the wait wasn't annoying. More people got there after me and while I was in the chair. If you decide to try George's, just sign in on the legal pad as you come in. I've recently moved from Los Angeles, CA to Yuma. All I can say is there customer service was great!!! All the barbers are nice, they have 3 flat screens on wall so you can catch a game or two while getting a cut. I can say I've found my new barbershop here in Yuma!!!! read more

This as my second time to George's barber shop ,the first time I told the barber I wanted a trim all over and he said that i probably wanted a #2 Well it was a little shorter than I was used to but turned out great and I was quite pleased. Yesterday I went back and got a different person so I told him I wanted it trimmed all over a#2. What a mistake, he said good then proceeded to give me a buzz/brush cut! And of course his first pass was right down the middle of my head so the damage was already done. If that wasn't bad enough there were at least 4 or 5 barbers sitting around discussing some sad story on the television along with my barber. I felt ticked off about the lousy hair cut and then his lack of attention made me feel like I was intruding on his discussion time. strongly suggest you get a detailed description of what cut numbers refer to before you sit down. George you were there sweeping up and should have noticed that your man really wasn't paying attention to his job. When I questioned why he started giving me a brush cut YOU SHOULD HAVE STEPPED IN! If your a marine and want a good low fade congratulations this is the wrong place. I came here for a haircut it took literally more than 1 hour of a guy smacking his clippers into my head. It's still messed up I got the worst fade ever and it looked like a high and tight I was so pissed I almost crashed my car pulling out the lot. Never again will I come here. read more

Awesome place to go get your hair cut or style. My cut is some what of a Mohawk but with really long hair. It's difficult to cut and get the straight lines on it. I got my sides shaved close , the back squared up (perfectly) and no porcupine spikes on the sides.... excellent quality service at an economical price. read more

I was just passing through driving from Fort Worth, TX to San Diego, CA. I needed a hair cut and according to previous reviews, this barber shop is worth stopping by. The reviews didn't let me down either! The shop is very nice with tvs and located in a convenient area. The shop was very packed packed but it showed that a lot of people wants to get cut there. Despite the large number of customers, my wait was about 20 minutes which is great because I've waited much longer at other places. The service is great from the staff and everyone welcomes you there. I would most definitely be a regular there if I lived in town but if I'm ever in the area, I'll be back!!! read more

I went to this establishment yesterday for a haircut. I get a zero guard all over buzz cut every single time. This establishment was clean and seem to be very nice. A sign on the window read $9 military haircuts. However I was charged $12, which is outright robbery. Go at your own risk. The owner seemed very nice and I did not believe that he was aware what I was charged. read more

Thought we'd try this place out because of the reviews. Decent haircut, just wanted something simple, but you could definitely get the same thing done at a Supercuts for a portion of the time. If you have an hour to spare for a haircut, then this is the place for you. read more
