Super unassuming spot that would be easy to walk by. But once you're in, you're transported to a whole different environment filled with music and decorations. The tacos themselves were fine-nothing terribly special. They aren't shy about how much filling they put, which is a plus. But the flavoring was overall fine. The real winner of the meal, though, is the birria torta. The meat was so delicious and overall was just a lovely meal. Tons of juice bar options and soda options, which was an interesting addition. Surprised to see the negative reviews here, as I've been consistently ordering from George's and haven't noticed a decline in quality. I stopped in here on my long walk to Astoria park to enjoy the gorgeous weather and was promptly served. My typical go-to's at George's are the 114 (a BLT with an egg and avocado on whole wheat toast with mayo), their hot start breakfast wrap (chipotle chicken, egg whites, pepper jack cheese and avocado), or a chopped cheese which they do very well here. But on this day I was more in the mood for something simple - a roast beef on a roll with lettuce, mayo, salt, and pepper. This deli might be one of the last affordable bodegas that offer quality ingredients. Their deli meats aren't the cheap stuff, this roast beef was moist and tender, with that pink in the middle instead of the grey you find at other spots. My sandwich also came to just under $7, which I think is a solid deal for the amount of meat they pile on here. Service here is prompt, even when I order delivery I never wait longer than a half hour or so, which is a record for this area. Inside, they have a ton of snack options, pretty much anything you could possibly be in the mood for to pair with your sandwich. How can the counter staff not wear masks or take any PPE measures during the Covid crisis in Queens?? Being how popular this deli is they are always busy. Perfect neighborhood deli to get your favorite bagel or ham eggs and cheese. Recently came here over the weekend while in NYC and they did not disappoint. Ham egg and cheese was perfectly cooked with a delicious fresh roll - the next day I had a bagel with cream cheese and boars head turkey - also perfection! Today I get a delivery, and the person asked for my name. I gave him my last name, not knowing my first was on the order. He was quick to take the order back. Then he asked what did I order. Really, I spent almost $30 bucks, and had the audacity to ask me that? Between my son and myself we have spent over $300 dollars at this deli over the last two years, and to be accused of not being the person I wasn't. I don't know who is taking the orders tonight, but almost everything I just ordered was wrong. Regular sprite instead of sprite zero, parmesan instead of bleu cheese on the cobb salad, I asked for no olives and the salad is swimming in olives, and I was given balsamic vinegar instead of balsamic vinaigrette. If they are out of something, they should reach out to me instead of giving me something different, but this just seems like a case of negligence, based on how many mistakes there are. Fast delivery, and the food is still good. I'll try again, but next time I'll be calling them to replace the items if there are things so wrong. read more

This place was my favorite spot for quick paper goods or eggs when I ran out. I was very disappointment and upset that the workers don't follow the Please wear a mask policy. I went in the deli at 11:30 pm, (by the way the deli stays open 24 hours.) and I witness two men not wearing a face mask. One was buying 4 cases of beer, and the other one was taking pictures of the chocolate candy display in the front and talking on his phone. I asked the cashier to tell them to wear a mask or give them one. All she said was they don't listen. I never once heard her tell them to wear a mask. We are still in a Covid-19 pandemic. She is putting her life and every customer's life at risk if she continues letting people in with no face masks. read more
