Simple vegan breakfast sandwich
Barbara C.

Been ordering vegan sandwiches on gluten-free bread from here over the past couple years, and I've been satisfied with everything I've gotten. I love the array of vegan options for sandwich protein (vegan egg, vegan sausage, tofu, tempeh, etc), and options for vegan cheese as well, and while it's a tad more expensive than non-vegan options, it's still pretty reasonable and less than most other places for something similar. They also are generally pretty quick at making my sandwiches when I order online, and it's almost always ready by the time I arrive to pick up my order. My non-vegan boyfriend has also gotten some meat sandwiches from here and has enjoyed them, too. There are essentially "build your own" sandwiches but it's also easy to customize most of the sandwiches they have on their menu.

The best bodega option in the neighborhood. Food - Better than average bodega sandwiches for a decent price, there is a good selection of additional grocery items. I like the NY chicken cutlet avocado and they're always happy to swap Provolone cheese for me. The Philly is good too. Service - It's often busy but service is quick. Ambiance - It's a bodega but it's clean. I'm not vegan but they have a great vegan menu if you are.

Vegan city boy breakfast sandwich

I had a very enjoyable vegan meal here. I ordered takeout on my way to LGA and the food was ready in a flash, leaving me with plenty of time to savor the treats. I started with the Vegan City Boy Breakfast Sandwich and it was very good. The bagel was crisp on the outside, but chewy inside. The toppings paired very well together. I added on some curly fries and they were nice and crispy. I topped off the meal with a piece of Oreo cake and I was given a very generously-sized slice! To top it off, prices were very fair for NYC and service was friendly, so I would absolutely come back again!

Wanted to try this place for a while Review for Sunday night delivery and vegan food only Gluten free bread options Lots of vegan options Good prices Good portions Delivery was so fast and packed well Onion rings reminded me of diner fries from back in the day. Container was full Vegan Philly cheesesteak was very spicy Vegan Chopped cheese was good but more like a burger - had lettuce and tomato Curly fries basic and good The gluten free bread was soft and warm - I almost questioned it was gluten free Would order again

This place has 24 hour vegan food!! Prior to discovering this place I would have to eat Burger King's impossible whopper if I wanted to consume vegan food at 2 am but this is has way more options and is way healthier. I wish I lived nearby so I could eat it more often! The prices are alittle expensive but I think every vegan would agree with me that paying for quality and cruelty free food is well worth almost any price.

Chicken salad sandwich with Chipotle Mayo Sauce, avocado and tomato

Paid $14 for a chicken salad sandwich with avocado and tomato with chipotle Mayo on sandwich. Got this with barely any of the extra fee items and had so much hot sauce added to it I took one bite and had to throw it out after I got home. People were nice and it's a clean place, just bummed

Great fresh juice selections . What I liked about the delivery is theta when the juice arrived nice and cool. I also ordered a slamming BLT on toasted rye with a lot of bacon ! Is there ever too much bacon? Never !

I went here on a whim after a job trial in Astoria... not new but still very excited about a vegan diet I searched up vegan foods on Google maps and this is what appeared; Although I thought it'd be less than twenty minutes walking distance it was about 23 so I took the train to broadway and to my surprise it was there and open. upon arriving there was a couple ordering food near the sandwich section near the refrigerators .. the woman was looking at drinks and once they finally paid and left I finally made up my mind about what I wanted. Not the hungriest from what I can recall but still missing dinner due to the job I was considering I decided to order a chick pea salad, something I was certain of because I had it in mind on the way, I also ordered their Eden sandwich which is something i don't regret and I'd suggest for a plant based vegan diet because fake meats aren't the way to go if you're trying to lose weight. It had broccoli, carrots, beets!! and if im not mistaken corn haha something else I decided to order was their cookies and crème cake which I thought was Oreo for some reason but for some reason I ordered it because I came across this cute review on here that suggested it and had the best photo. He also mentioned the city boy breakfast sandwich which I can't wait to try!! And there's also a vegan blt I indulged in the other day by mistake because of how tasty the photo of the regular one was on here lol. It's tempeh actually which is a great find for those who can indulge as much. The store also has Hu chocolate bars, vegan bread cakes, Sabra hummus and ice cream. This deli is somewhere I'll definitely revisit as it has awesome food, indoor seating and although they didn't stay open the entire night I'm sure it will always be a great experience.

IKraveit is one of Astoria's many delis dotted around Broadway and 34th Avenue near the Broadway stop on the N/W. Last weekend. The deli needs a bit of a cleanup, but I ordered a delicious BLT and strawberry banana smoothies. The staff were nice and friendly and they were fully in compliance with covid health regulations.

The service was very good and the people behind the counter and the waiter were nice. I had the pastrami sandwich with a side of Cole slaw and a Dr. Browns soda which came out to $43 ($50 with tip). The sandwich was solid, but it seemed small. The pastrami cut thin, stacked and was moist and flavorful. The rye bread was ok but not the best rye I've had. The sandwich comes dry and I added mustard which was on another table. The coleslaw was just ok for me. It was very tart and had too much vinegar for my liking. All in all it was a good experience except for one thing - the price. Call me old school but I have a hard time with a $50 lunch. I understand that things are expensive these days and that this is New York City, but this I have a hard time reconciling $50 for just an everyday lunch. If price is not a factor, then I think this is a 4, but when considering the price I gave it a 3. It's a great spot if you want to have the NYC deli experience or if price is no issue to you. For me I am glad I experienced this NYC icon, but I don't think I would ever become a regular. I'll keep searching for my spot.

There was a line, of course, there always is, and the wait was longer than what we were willing to endure for fare as simple and as common as a sandwich. It was worth the 20-minute wait. We ordered the Milano special, packed with cold meats, tomatoes, pickled peppers, cheese, and lettuce between two soft sesame rolls. It looked magnificent. It tasted magnificent. It was a sandwich to rule all sandwiches. I'd brave the line for that any day.

Proscuitto burtata (amore) - fresh fresh fresh and quality ingredients. The proscuitto was perfect along with the burrata, arugula and balsamic glaze on ciabatta which was sweet mix. We were deciding on this one and the proscuitto tomato but we are glad we got this one! 2. Chicken caesar salad wrap- I think I could easily say this is the best caesar salad wrap i've had. The dressing was light and not overpowering with the mix of the chicken, croutons and outside wrap was a truly stellar combination. Very fresh and wasnt soggy one bit. the cookies: small black n white cookie, rainbow cookie and chocolate sprinkle and all were hits! my favorite was the black n white because the icing melts right off the soft cookie texture and tastes more like a cake than a cookie. All were amazing and is a must try when visiting. absolutely rec when you're on the east side!

Walking into the store from the corner entrance, directly in center there's a beverage station with coffee and tea dispensers. About half the store is dedicated to prepared foods--on the left are chilled and packaged desserts, on the right are warm and cold mains, salads, cheese and charcuterie, sides, sushi, convenient packaged foods (crackers, breads, candies, snacks). Toward the middle of the store are a few aisles of jarred, canned, dried goods, teas and coffee sachets, condiments and spices. Towards the south side of the store is a butcher counter, more prepared chilled foods, salads, wraps, chilled bottled drinks, followed by the fresh produce area. At the front of the store are a few registers you check out. They keep the store very clean and tidy, the shelves are well-stocked. Staff are friendly and on point. The food selections are good quality and you also pay a premium since it's UES after all.

For a high-end specialty market, I've never understood why they only offer pre-made cold sandwiches and won't make sandwiches fresh to order. If I'm paying premium prices, I'd rather have a fresh sandwich than one that's been sitting in a refrigerator. I also find it odd that they've expanded to two locations while still offering a very limited selection of baked goods and freshly prepared foods. The market was at its best when the Greek chef worked there. Back then, the food was excellent and worth the price.
