Perfect location and good Mediterranean fare. As we opted for an early dinner, we were the only table for pretty much the whole time we were there so food was great and service attentive without hovering. We went with the server's recommendation for their banquet course which served a selection of dishes so we got a taste of different choices and something for everyone. Loved everything. Happy hours from 5-7pm meant we could have cocktails for $12. Not bad for the strawberry margarita I ordered.

Tour group enjoyed a celebratory dinner. Our group ordered barramundi, lamb shoulder and an eggplant vegetarian dish. The lamb shoulder was tender, the barramundi was delicious and the eggplant was excellent with a favorable tomato sauce. We started with warm olives and hummus appetizer, yummy. Loved the wharf side setting. Delightful staff. Would definitely recommend

Nice Greek place for lunch, not cheap but fresh food and clean bathrooms.

Date night! You couldn't ask for better service and the food was incredible. I started off with a Greek red...full of flavour with a nice sharpness about it. Now I know you are not suppose to have red wine with seafood...but who bothers with that rule now if you enjoy certain drinks..stick with it. Oh that red was going down fast! Then the entree (first dish in Oz). Stuffed calamari! The calamari was lightly cooked (as it should be...yeah have done one of those seafood cooking classes) and stuffed with herbs topped with a delicate, little, grilled octopus. The vision was something out of a vogue magazine and tasted as if I was in the final battle of My Kitchen Rules. The main dish: A whole fish, The flesh pulled away from the bone with beautiful ease. The eye of the fish looked at me as if to say.."Enjoy every bite, I made a big sacrifice!" Poor little fishy! The fish was delicious. Oh wait there is more!!! Yes...we fitted in dessert. Now the bottle of red has disappeared..we are in a jolly form. The dessert just topped it off. Each dessert was truly original and tasted heavenly. The staff were attentive and very pleasant. The restaurant has a voucher system and promotions often...this is a great place to celebrate a special night or just go out for dinner with someone close to the heart.

You know those nights when you're trying to impress a girl and when the sun sets over the water the sky is on fire and it's like the Universe is winking at you and saying "Get ON, playa"? Well, that happened, and those nights are also the best kind of weather for Mediterranean food because hairy guys in Speedos swimming off Ios and other such things. Pulling up one of the little couch/corner arrangements right on the King St Wharf promenade and sipping wine while the temperate breeze washes the romance of the ocean over you like God's own cologne is a hell of a way to start the night. Tanned men clad in black with stiff collars and plunging necklines and wonderfully oiled hair will bring platters of pita bread and taramasalata, yoghurt dip and spanakopita, grilled prawns and octopus, chicken skewers and lamb kofta, and these limber men will wink at your girlfriend every time they put a plate down but it's okay because if you play your cards right they might just wink at you too and wouldn't that be a thrill?

Had a breakfast/brunch here, upon arriving in Sydney. The owners greeted my wife as she peruses the menu. We were easily convinced to give it a try, and glad we did. The eggs were fresher than anything we've had at home in the States. The Feta In their Omlet was top notch and the Hollandaise on the Benedict had a surprise bite of mustard. Mmmmm!

A nice twist on halloumi, paired with watermelon and mint

Why is it that whenever I go to a Greek restaurant all I want to do is order a ton of appetisers/small plates?! Well, that's the route I took (yet again) today. The hortokeftedes (dumplings of fresh herbs), my attempt to fit some "greens" in, were a bit unremarkable -- not bad, just not an obvious must-order next time through. The lamb cutlets weren't the best cuts of meat, but cooking them with a hint of wild honey was genius! And the halloumi (because there MUST always be cheese!) was paired with watermelon and mint, whose sweet and minty flavour was the perfect complement to the savoury and salty of grilled cheese. Finished off with a light and sweet kataifi (kinda like a Greek panna cotta) for dessert. This place has the great vibe and views most of King Street Wharf is known for. I came back because of great experiences here years ago (including my first ever time eating goat), and it did not disappoint, then or now.

Gorgeous day to be sitting outside at King Street Wharf having an early lunch. The sun was shining and I forgot how nice it was to actually the leave the office for an hour and just relax. Life passes far too quickly! I digress. We were attended to by friendly staff who suggested some of the mezzes on the menu as we weren't particularly hungry. They were good enough to ensure we had enough food for two and over-order as some other places do. Top choices I would suggest - pork belly, deep fried king prawns, lamb souvalaki, grilled stuffed calamari and last but not least, fried squid. I will definitely be back when summer comes around. Totally stuffed by the end of it!

George's Mediterranean Bar and Grill is a greek restaurant situated on the waterfront of King St Wharf Darling Harbour. We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday. The restaurant has a large alfresco dining area and also has indoor seating. We were greeted by the friendly waitstaff who provided us with great service throughout the meal. They were attentive without being OTT; They ensured our water glass was filled, also checking to see how we were going with the meal and if we needed anything. I had an American breakfast with scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon and maple syrup which was delicious!

Asking $5 for a coffee demands a level or service or quality of experience far beyond what was offered on the day I visited.

My…read moreonly big draw back was that they told us to stagger our orders for the kitchen, which resulted with one side of the table eating and finishing before the other side of the table. I had a flat white, a Bloody Mary, and then I ordered two breakfasts (yes two). I couldn't pass up eggs, but I also couldn't forget their pancakes. So I settled on the healthy stack, which was two pieces of toast smothered in goat cheese, tipped with rocket, tomato, avocado, and a poached egg and the. I got the pancakes with ricotta, Caramelized bananas and hazelnuts. The flat White was good and so was the Bloody Mary. The bloody was oddly sweet with a kick to it, but I liked it nonetheless. I did not like is hefty price tag though, as it was 18 dollars for a pretty small drink. For the food everything was delicious. The healthy stack tasted exactly like it sounded and it was a huge portion with two huge pieces of toast. And the pancakes were equally delicious. The ricotta was awesome And the whole table was glad I ordered them. Overall I would be back and I wanna check out their bar. The place is so cute and homey so I would recommend. Just bear in mind they don't do split checks and only except two cards if you have a large group.
