Hi everyone, Sorry but this is going to be a long…read morereview because I am so mad at this point in time! I needed work done in my yard so I contacted: Paul's Landscape Maintenance P.O. Box 2082 Merced, CA 95344 (209)722-2337 LIC. #35457 When I contacted the company in June 2019, I needed to trim the top off bushes and hedges in my front and back yard. I also needed a tree located in the front yard, trim back a bit off of the roof. Paul came out to my home on June 27, 2019 I showed him what I needed/wanted done and he stated that he was able to do the work. He quoted me a price of $200 at first just to do the work but not haul away, if I sign up to have him come over on a monthly basis! When I told Paul that it would be only for this one time, he then gave me a different quote! He then quotes me $150 to do the job and $50 to haul away, which still added up to the original $200. I agreed with the quoted cost and thought that the work would be starting within the next week or so! That's when Paul stated that he couldn't get started until after July 4, 2019 and said it would be sometime around mid to late July because of family and personal reasons. I explained to him how disappointed I was because I really needed the yard done! Paul stated that he would give me a call ASAP when he was free and able to do the work, so I agreed to wait! I didn't hear back from Paul during the whole month of July nor the first part of August, so I called him on Monday August 26, 2019. At this time he said that he had forgotten to call but that he could come out the next day, Tuesday August 27th to start the work. Paul also said that it would have to be split up between 2 days but they would not next to one another. I again agreed to let him do the work. When Paul arrived at my home on time this morning (Tuesday August 27, 2019) at 9:00am which was the time that we agreed on, I expected the work to get started. But instead Paul starts talking about not knowing that he had to do some items that were in the original quote, that I still had in my possession and this was very upsetting! Now not only does Paul want to charge me MORE MONEY for the job, but he is now wanting to do less work and not wanting to do everything that we had agreed upon previously in June 27, 2019! So I tried to work with him on just getting the HEDGE'S TRIMMED and said that I would do the other items that were originally quoted, me myself. Well, that's when Paul stated the following: 1.) $150 for just the two front hedge's 2.) $170 for the two front hedge's, if he has to haul away the debris. 3.) $180 - $190 for just the back yard alone, which doesn't include hauling the debris away. All I could say is WOW! Paul was trying to charge me MORE MONEY FOR LESS WORK! As I was talking to Paul and attempting to get an understanding of why, Paul does a 360 on me. Paul started walking away back to his truck, as he says the following: "I don't think that this is going to work for me and I can see that you are getting upset so I'm just going to leave!" I have waited for Paul to get my yard done for over 2 months and now he just walks out on the job completely! I have no control over who you pick to hire or contract with to do a job, the one star that I gave to Paul was for showing up to my home on time today. But I can not and will not recommend: Paul's Landscape Maintenance P.O. Box 2082 Merced, CA 95344 (209)722-2337 LIC. #35457 Because he does not practice good business! ***On a side note: I would like to add, that since having Paul come over in June, I have done work on the Hedges to keep them up myself.
