I requested a short 3 tier retaining wall in my backyard. I had two landscapers who were licensed/contracted look at the work they did. The work was about 3/4's of the way done but the mortar work on the front wall was so sloppy, with chipped blocks, uneven gaps that I told Jose to stop the work. I decided to have two inspections done by contracted/licensed landscapers. One told me it was the worst job he had ever seen and that it would not be able to withstand pressure, it was not level either horizontally nor vertically, the mortar seams were not according to specifications (1/2" and 1/4"), no rebars were installed to secure it, and there was no drainage measures which would affect the durability of the wall , there was also no moisture barrier applied behind the blocks that would also deteriorate the mortar, etc. A second contractor also told me the same thing. If I could give zero stars I would. Jose admitted that the men he hired to do the work had only done one retaining wall prior to doing mine and admitted it was a poor job. Insult to injury he wanted to charge me for the blocks-which were ruined by their shoddy job and wanted to charge me for the wall's demolition. I would not recommend him to anyone for retaining wall work. He reported he is contracted but there is no CSLB listing for this business in Fresno or Madera only a business by this name in Cupertino that is active and a listing in Covina-license cancelled. This business does not come up in a BBB search of landscape contractors for Fresno or Madera. He wanted $5500. for the retaining wall, materials, and removal of about 10 lily bushes. The second contractor told me he would have done a professional job for $800. less than Green Season's quote. read more

One of my trees had a thick branch that had broken off, causing a big mess in my front yard. Jose cleaned up the yard and hauled away a whole trailer-full of broken branches a leaves by himself.
