It's a big difference compared to other ranges where all you smell is lead and gunpowder the entire time. The only downside is that they don't provide D‑Lead soap, which is specifically made to remove metal residue from your hands after shooting. That's the only thing I wish they offered. Other than that, this place is fantastic. Great people, clean facility, and an overall positive experience every time.

In the end, i was quite impressed with the service they offer, an the prices are quite reasonable. for 2 people, it was $20 for range time each target started at $1.50 bullets - for a 22mm, it was around $5 for a 9mm, it was around 16 i can't wait to go back...such a fun time (just an expensive hobby!)

This is a great local gun store, that also has a very good internet presence. To start off, I don't know the owner personally, and I'm not a "regular" customer that gets special treatment or anything like that. But, I have shopped in 50+ local gun shops in the various places that I've lived in the USA, and I can confidently say that the Georgia Gun Store is one of the best. The store is well organized, with many popular accessories for popular firearms. There have been times that I wasn't sure if they would have something in stock, but after finding the item on their website, and seeing that it indicated that they had the item "in stock" - I'd go to the store and get the item, just like it should be. I've been in the store roughly 6-8 times in the past couple of years, and I've always received friendly, courteous treatment. They do get busy at times (particularly around Christmas), so there may be a bit of a wait. But, they do have additional staff working to help with the busier times. I've read the negative reviews, and I honestly can't find anything negative to say about the place or the people working there. I do know that people are about 10 times more likely to make a negative post than a positive one, so please keep that in mind when reading online reviews. read more

I have been by the store a few times and they know their stuff. They always seem to know the answers to your questions and are always pretty helpful. I will generally try to talk them down to their best price whenever I can. They also have a big store and a good selection most of the time and the website lists pretty much everything they have. I have only once not been able to find what I have been looking for, but that was for an obscure piece of survival gear. I also like how they follow all the rules about paperwork, waiting periods and such. They are clearly operating on the level and it is good to have a business that doesn't cut corners. I live quite a ways away, but I will be making most of my gun purchases at this store. I am giving them five stars, but the one negative I will say is that the parking could be better. There is often times a car parked in front of the store creating a blind spot, which is dangerous. I will not deduct for it, though, since I do not think it is related to their store. read more

Was looking at several other retailers who spent plenty of time taking my number then blowing me off before I considered these guys, was very glad I chose to buy here. Whether you're looking to add to a collection or you are first time buyer these guys seem to have a great knowledgeable team. Myself personally, I went in here to buy my first handgun (22yr old) after only previously being gifted, I spent some time watching their website for what I was looking for and as soon as it said they had it in store they did, no phone call needed, not only was I able to just go in and get through the purchase process in under 30 Minutes but the team was extremely helpful in doing so and it was very knowledgeable in helping answering questions about further setup of the MOS model with its unique features. I will most definitely be going back to buy from here again, as every time I've gone in they always seem to treat returning customers as family! read more

This store has the best prices in the area and I don't just mean Gainesville. I recently bought a .357 revolver there and was very pleased with the transaction. It's true that sometimes there is a wait but what do you expect from a small mom and pop store when demand is this high? I bought some earplugs for stocking stuffers and had no problem exchanging them when I realized they were sized and I'd gotten them too big. I've also purchased a small bedside gun safe and a good bit of ammo for all our guns. I proudly wear both of my Georgia Gun Store t-shirts and have referred dozens of friends and co-workers. Many have come back to thank me and said that GGS's prices are better than any they've seen short of Internet "must sell" ads. Go and visit for yourself. You won't be disappointed. read more

Have been a customer of GA Gun Store for many years, Kelly and Mike have developed a very loyal customer base because of their friendly service and great prices. They take as much time as needed to answer all customers that are interested in buying their first gun or adding to their collection. On occasion they have to determine what the customers real intent for purchase is also. Most new gun purchasers don't know the term of a "straw purchase" or what it means. Any gun store found selling in that manner can be fined and or lose their license. So educate yourself about buying a gun. This transaction is not like buying a pair of shoes, it is monitored and regulated, and you need to conduct yourself in a responsible manner. read more

I have made several purchases here in the past few years since I discovered Georgia Gun Store. I have found the prices to be very competitive in every case. Price is a great attraction, however, I will pay more for something I want if I am treated well and feel my business is appreciated! I have always received professional and personal service here. Years ago I watched these folks when they just had tables at local gun shows. They stood out then, as now, as very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. When they opened their 1st retail store I became a happy customer. They always seem to have the neat, hard to find stuff along with the usual products. I moved away several years ago but was in Gainesville yesterday just to say hello. Same family and staff, much more inventory and as always great prices on hard to get items. I typically visit the store but as a firearm i wanted was not in stock i just placed the order on line on a Friday, picked it up the next Wednesday (5 days). I have purchased, traded, and just "window shopped" for several years. You will not find nicer people than Mike, Kelli, and their staff. Always polite, always patient, always informative. I have seen some negative comments about this store but I sure dont understand where they are coming from. This store is where I shop for my firearms and Mike and Kelli are why. Always willing to help me find the less than normal/popular firearms. I have purchased firearms using multiple methods at Georgia Gun Store, direct in Store, via email and through the online store, all with no issues. I would say it's the best place to purchase firearms in the southeast at least. A priority for me is I am purchasing my firearms from a veteran who served our country. This is a great store with great prices and a helpful, knowledgeable staff. My only suggestion to other shoppers...they get pretty busy on Saturdays so, if you want or need extra attention and time, I recommend stopping by during the week. Not that they aren't just as friendly on a Saturday, but you will have other customers wanting to see product and ask questions at the same time. I was searching, online and in stores, for over 2 years for a very specific firearm that has been sold out everywhere. Everyday my search was fruitless until one day this store popped up with not 1 but 2 in stock! I immediately placed my order with out any questions, and I am glad I did. Have purchased guns on line for transfer in and in store. On-line transactions are always good as long as you do your part by ensuring the FFL gets to the on-line store. I try to provide Georgia Gun Store an email, fax and phone # with a reference to my on-line purchase order number. No issues. Sometimes you have to have GGS resend the FFL but that is the nature of buying on-line and dealing with all sorts of suppliers and clunky outdated federal system. ...But - at least we can.. read more

My Taurus G2C had a rattle I could not diagnose, so I brought it here. He opened it up, poked around, and informed me that the block had been worn down. It wasn't my fault, but it was of cheaper quality so it could be expected. This is the part that has earned my repeat business: the gentleman then very honestly told me that I'd be looking at around $300 to replace it. Now, the gun only cost me $300 as I got it on sale at the time. He was totally transparent and said he could be wrong about part pricing and availability and he could do some digging if I wanted. That statement alone was enough for me to trust him, so I thanked him for his time and said it wasn't worth sinking more than I paid for it (this is not my Canik TP9SF after all). Now this was all about two months ago. I still carry my Taurus because it's smaller and (thankfully) I haven't needed to draw it. On a whim, I decided to look up what a new firing block for this model would be. Sure enough, it matched exactly what the gunsmith had told me. So not only did he know this off the top of his head, which speaks to his knowledge, but he was willing to double check and correct himself if he was misquoting me, which speaks to his integrity. I've bought ammo from this store before and have the utmost faith the rest of the staff is of the same caliber. (Get it? Caliber?) But the winning interaction was with their gunsmith. I will be going to C&R for all my needs from now on.
