We hired Atlanta Lightscapes in March 2025 to install exterior lighting in the front of our home…read more The project was about $2,800, and everything looked great at first. By May, however, two of the lights stopped working. I reached out to the owner, Drew, and he let me know he was out of town and would follow up, but since then communication has slowed. Drew had also asked about doing our backyard, but at the time we weren't ready to move forward. The project came with a 2-year warranty, though at this point I'm not confident it will be followed through on since the original issue hasn't been resolved. We're now ready to get the backyard done, but since the front lights are still not fixed, we'll be moving forward with another company. The initial work by Atlanta Lightscapes looked very nice, but the follow-up and responsiveness left us wishing for a bit more consistency. Our experience with Atlanta Lightscapes has been a true let down.

He was quick with the quote and installation, and my neighbors even had him install lights at their house as well. The price was fair, and he came out a second time to make a slight adjustment free of charge. He is an honest buisness owner who stands behind his work, and I would highly recommend him.

My parents used the same electrician for 20+ years and that is because he always did a great job,…read morewas reliable and they knew what they were getting. Of course, back in those days, one would just randomly pick someone from the yellow pages, as there were no review sites, just refers from those you knew. Today, times have changed, but not everything, when someone is good, you keep using them, especially a electrician and car mechanic. On with the review.... [ Introduction ] When my wife and I purchased our first house we just wanted something within our means and that meant getting an older house built in 1969. Everything was original and we needed bathroom fans, dryer outlet, a new oven and new stove cooking top. We hired one of those big companies and a guy name Matthew came over. He knew his trade well, was reliable and explained all the details, which is exactly what I liked. I love details. [ First Service Job ] Matthew installed the fans, oven, stove-top and dryer outlet. Of course he had to look at the electrical panel that was located in the "garage" to turn the power off and he noticed that our particular panel was a older model that was prone to cause fires (burn down a house) and that was scary to hear, but he explained why and I had him replace the whole panel. We just had our first child and obviously did not want to chance it. We had a Federal Pacific Stab-Lok electrical panel and I researched (as I do with almost everything) that roughly 90% of houses built from 1960-1980 had those installed. Many houses "burned down" because of them and yes, Federal Pacific is out of business! (if you don't believe it, look it up yourself) After Matthew replaced everything, the house looked great and we stayed there for a couple of years. I kept his information for future work and just recently discovered that he went the family approach, after leaving the very well known electrician company. [ Second Service Job ] We moved into a much newer house after having our second child and needed more light in our bedroom as it was extremely dark. I called Matthew and he came out to look at what we needed, shared his ideas on what would look the best and he went from there. He installed 6" recessed lights for the centre and 3" adjustable recessed lights on the outside of the ceiling. The lighting turned out beautifully and now finally, we have light in the room. [ Prices ] The prices are extremely affordable when comparing to other electricians and he does a great job at explaining the costs upfront. What I really like is that he does not over charge on the material, something others like to do. You pay what he pays for the material + the labor, which is exactly how it should be. Others should know that this type of work is not done by the hour, because every job is different. This job was completely different than our other house. With both projects, Matthew was never pushy about sales, he was very honest and upfront and that is very rare these days. [ Coming over ] Matthew came dressed as an electrician and he wore those shoe slip on cover things, which is great, because it shows he is professional and cares about our carpets. Now if only those Comcast cable installers would do the same thing. [ Licensed/Insured ] I already knew what I was getting the second time I called, but still it is good to know that others who read my review know these guys are state licensed master electricians and carry special insurance. As you can imagine, my regular car guy is a master mechanic too. When it comes to your house, or car, you want someone who knows what they are doing, not some amateur. [ Conclusion ] Finding someone who treats your home/car like it were their own is no easy task. When I deal with either one, I always want someone that is a master in their trade, so I know they are competent in doing the job right. Matthew at Plugged In Electrical Services always does the job right, he is honest and has probably saved my families life (no joke) when he changed out that dangerous panel. I highly recommend this company and will continue to use Matthew as our electrician for as long as we live in the state.
