However, 4 years later she admitted she was not qualified. I experienced a lack of empathy, poor professional boundaries and during my sessions experienced her regularly unloading her relationship, family and business struggles on me. During my time working with Joanna, I began to isolate myself from outside support, which resulted in my only support system being her. Joanna often put pressure on me to be involved with her personal and business ventures. In addition, Joanna claimed she could be the mother that I never had and told me she loved me like that daughter she never had. Every aspect of this relationship was indescribably damaging to me. Joanna is currently denying ever being my therapist, however I have years of invoices and credit card statements adding to over $25k that would prove otherwise. She drained me emotionally, mentally and financially.
