They came out, gave a great quote of $1500 and we hired them for the services a few weeks later. The install went good - all seemed well. Then three weeks later to the day, we had a good Arkansas rain storm and the culvert washed out and traveled about 1/4 mile to our neighbors house. We asked to see how much it would cost to come and get it put back in - knowing that some gravel would probably be needed and some cost would be acceptable. The quote was another $700! The response from the owner was that "they do stand behind their work but they do not stand behind nor do they control Mother Nature." Ironically, that is exactly what we hired them to do - control water (Mother Nature) via a culvert under a drive pad they installed. In this new development, ours was the only culvert to have failed catastrophically. We cannot, under good conscious, recommend them based on our experience.

These guys came in and in 2 days put in a French Drain and new top soil. Looks great. Leveled everything out smooth. Even smoothed ruts in the yard left by another crew. They have very fair pricing and are great to work with and know what they are doing. Glad they were recommended to us and I will recommend to anyone. I'll be using again for other projects.

I had a very disappointing experience with Langley Excavation regarding a driveway rock delivery…read moreand spreading job. We agreed on a $2,000 driveway job involving multiple truckloads of material. The owner and an employee arrived on a cloudy, rainy day despite heavy rain being forecasted for the entire week. They dumped two large loads of driveway rock and attempted to "tailgate spread" the material while driving, but the coverage was extremely uneven and spread far too thin across approximately 200 feet of driveway plus a large three-car parking area. Most of the first load was concentrated in the parking area, leaving the actual driveway with inadequate coverage. They also left very large piles of material directly outside my garage and another pile at the end of the driveway, blocking access and making it difficult for vehicles to enter or exit. A significant amount of material was effectively wasted because it was never properly spread. I explained my concerns and pointed out that I had no tractor or equipment available to finish spreading these piles myself. The employee eventually got out with a rake and began manually spreading some of the material after I told them the job still needed to be completed properly. The owner then called me demanding payment before the agreed work was completed. I explained there was no issue with payment once the job was properly finished. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she became hostile on the phone, used profanity, and stated she was "tired of my bullshit." At that point I decided I no longer wanted them on the property. I wrote a $1,000 check for the partial work completed and asked them to leave. After they left, I spent the next hour manually spreading and smoothing the remaining piles myself using a metal rake and a snow shovel in the rain. I have Multiple Sclerosis, so doing heavy manual labor like that was physically exhausting and should not have been necessary after paying for a professional excavation and driveway service. My biggest issue was not only the uneven quality of the work, but the unprofessional attitude when concerns were raised. I would not use this company again based on this experience.
