I found a gorgeous pair from Posto Italiano for 168 euros (232 dollars). I initially wasn't going to get them because of the price, but after looking around at Aldo and Steve Madden (the kind of stores I would normally get boots from - decently priced, decent quality), their boots were around the same price. I love these boots and have gotten a lot of compliments on them. I've worn them almost every single day for almost 5 months now - I live in Chicago for most of the year for school and they've lasted through one of the harshest winters.

The leather is relatively thick and stiff, so they do take some time to break in (not the most comfortable straight-out-of-the-box). However, once broken in, they wear really well and I can easily wipe and polish them back to a good shine. I think they have a reasonable selection of styles, from minimal/modern black ankle boots to more decorated brogues in fancy leather colours like teal and purple. I did get service in English when I visited, which was extra helpful.

Bags, shoes, and belts. Since I had my shoes-shopping done, I came in here and got two belts made to order done on the spot here. You choose what buckle you want (they have many models you can choose from) and the you choose what leather belt you want in terms of width and color. I had two belts made within an hour and the guy who runs this place, Yohan was super-friendly and nice. When we started chatting, it turns out he is from Montreal and coincidences of coincidences, from the Eastern Townships like me. He grew up in Bromont and I grew up in Granby so right away I liked him. What a small world! By the time I left, there were other customers coming in and checking out their shoes and jackets. Mind you, this place is NOT cheap but the quality is fantatstic and the styles are very unique.

Having visited two different store locations, I was genuinely shocked by the blatant rudeness of ALL staff members when simply asking to try on a pair of shoes -- just one pair, not multiple pairs (which really shouldn't matter anyway). The staff response was appalling -- especially at the Via dei Giubbonari location -- where the attitude was dismissive, aggressive, and honestly quite disturbing. I have never experienced such hostility in any shop in my life. The behaviour was so extreme it actually felt intimidating. Thankfully they didn't have my size in stock because after that experience there was absolutely no way I would spend money there. I think to shop there - means you are disproportionaly desperate for footwear!!! A truly awful experience.

My fiance and I could not help but leave with a pair of new shoes each. They had shoes made from all over Europe that felt amazing. There are a lot of different styles for your preference -- sneakers, flats, sandals, wedges, etc! Highly recommend at least stopping by and trying some pairs out. The prices were reasonable given how good quality and comfortable the shoes are!

I went to three different stores, including the Birkenstock corporate store, and none of them had as many Birkenstock selections available as this store has. I wear a size 37, a common size. This store had almost all the available sandals in my size which allowed me a wide selection to choose from. I do not speak Italian and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. My feet are saved!
