I rented a rotary drywall sander, but it was incomplete, and I commented to the guy who was sending out equipment. It had no vacuum, and I thought the hose could adapt to to my shop vac. So I immediately returned it, maybe 15 minutes later. They refused to give me credit for the rental saying that anything that goes out the door will not be refunded. They rent broken equipment and don't provide refunds when you bring it back. Rented an hoist from them. The hydraulic pump leaked making the hoist inoperable. It could not lift anything. Yet they still refused to give me a refund. Manager called me a cheat and a liar even though his own employee verified the equipment was broken. I ended up buying a new hoist from different vendor at three times the rental price. Will never go back and urge all to avoid it as well. read more

We accidentally rented a piece of equipment that got put into storage by mistake we were charged $4000 for a piece of equipment that was never used. We may have made a mistake however they would not budge or give us any type of credit, they were rude the managers wouldn't budge the owner wouldn't budge we will never rent from them again and either should you. read more

I reserved a verticutter and it was there and at the price advertised. There was damage insurance which I paid for to avoid any return hassles. The staff was excellent and very helpful giving me good advice on how to operate the equipment and tips on how best to put down the seed. They advised me to use my own spreader instead of the seed box which was valuable advice. They also made sure to check with me that my soil was dry enough to effectively use the verticutter. The verticutter worked well and returning it was a snap. High praise to the employees that I interacted with as they were friendly and very helpful. read more

I think these guys are a bunch of crooks, I was going to rent an aerator, they loaded it up in my truck but it was too heavy for me to unload and reload it by myself safely so I took it back and they gave me a credit and if I couldn't find anyone they could refund my money but they didn't like doing that. So over the next few weekends I couldn't find anyone to help unload and load, so I asked for the money back. they said they couldn't refund at Ottawa and to call the Paola office. So I did, some guy named Russ made every excuse under the sun not to refund a measly $65. Pathetic!! I will be broadcasting this around the internet and social media - this is no way to conduct business. (this is kind of the Readers Digest - condensed version, but you get the jist). I rented a piece of equipment from Gerken got it home and it broke down within the first hour of use. I called the 24 hour line listed on the equipment and rusty, who Claimed to be one of the owners, answered the phone. I was told that no one would come look at the equipment and I can return it when they are open but they will not credit me back any money since "I broke it" I fully understand that all equipment breaks down but every other rental company I have dealt with is more than willing to come look at the broken equipment or at the very least offer a credit.
